  1. That's funny I've just bought the 18gram weights as well but I cant try them either because of weather conditions!!!! Hopefully we haven't wasted our money !!
  2. Personally i use a mallet putter. If your putting stroke is straight back and straight through then the mallet I believe would be more suitable. If your putting stroke backswing is slightly in from the target line with the face slightly opening to straight to back in again during the followthrough (Tigers stroke) then the blade I believe is ideal for you. Hope the above makes sense!
  3. Just bought a 52, 56 and 60 degree X-Forged 56 + 60 are MD They are fantastic clubs. The only problem is that even on the links course I play with half a 52 degree (not MD) I'm getting 8 feet back spin. If you normally are past the pin I'd advise that these clubs are great for your type of play. If you normally are short of the pin, forget it, it may look good spinning back but isn't the idea of the game to get as close to the hole as possible.
  4. Why don't you do something similar to Mickelson did. Buy both. The stiff shaft for going against the wind as it goes lower The regular shaft for with the wind to carry further Or of course you could also buy the interchangable shaft drivers just coming to the market
  5. Last year I went to the London Golf show and was measured for a driver by Callaway and Nike. The interesting thing was that although I was according to Nike's own swing speed machine hitting the Nike straigher. The Callaway driver went 30 yards further. On questioning this with Nike I discovered that both machines measure the swing speed/ball spin differently and they therefore Produce different results. When I commented to Nike that I was getting an extra 30 yards with the Callaway the response I got was "It depends how the machine is configured, if we want we can crank up the distance it reports back!" So after all this talk over the last few years about the importance of custom fitting is it really as reliable as it is supposed to be?
  6. Apparently the Pro's have the additional weight options which aren't available to the public. These thirdparty companies producing these weights have changed this.
  7. There are thirdparty companies which are selling custimized swing weights for Taylormade Drivers. The claim is that the heavier the weights the futher the ball will travel assuming your swing speed is the same. I have seen some weights upto 26grams each. Can anyone advise if it is worth investing in heavier weights to achieve greater distance/accuracy. Do you really work?
  8. A plane only takes off because of the air over the top of the wings takes longer than the air underneath the wings. This causes lift. As the plane will not be moving this lift will not occur - the plane will never take off.
  9. It could be the moustache putting him off !! When Tiger grew a Goaty he wasn't his best !!
  10. Everyone is talking about Tiger achieving the Grand Slam of Majors this year. Well it's 2 out of 2 so far for Tiger and he looks totally unbeatable. All these Tour Pro's commenting recently about Tiger being beatable, this is only so their only confidence isn't lost. Apart from the Grand Slam of Majors which is completly in the grasp of Tiger. What would happen to the game if all the events Tiger entered in 2008, Tiger actually won! What effect would it have on the other Tour players? What effect would it have on Sponsorship? What would it do to Tiger? Would it be good or would it be bad? What effect would it have on GOLF?

  12. I believe it would only make his game better because of his history of driver accuracy. Although he has improved his driver dramatically recently so I don't believe he needs a hybrid. Tiger's mind is very imaginative everyone comments on his distance with his driver but when you have the imagination and pure brilliance in your short game I think it would be a shame to see Tiger resort to a hybrid.
