  1. Been some bad weather out here but I will get that picture if you are still interested in seeing it.
  2. Lol no need to even try and "argue" with your impeccable knowledge seeing as you can formulate your input on a certain matter without even reading the entire post. (and to think you are the guy telling me to read a book!@!) =P
  3. From the looks of it you are still in the edge of the bunker therefore you CANNOT ground you club so it seems as though you did the correct thing. Also I would almost say that on your downswing you are going to make contact with the sand first which would also constitute it as being played from the bunker.
  4. You did nothing wrong. The fact that he even stated that YOU should of told him what he needed to do in the first place is just stupid. As a player why would you expect another player to tell you to mark the ball or to tell you where to drop? Your ok man don't take it serious and as far as mending things with that guy that way it isn't so tense all the time just kind of brush the incident to the side when you are around him. I wouldn't try to play with him much more either if you can help it. I know then you couldn't but you know what I mean.
  5. Thanks thats some intense drilling to make those shots but the more the better thanks for the post.
  6. I never said it was easy 10 ft was a round off if I could be 50 percent from nearly 8ft Id have tremendous scores. And seeing as I DONT make 50 percent of putts from 8 feet because Im no pro that means there is room to improve mr. vegas. So any drills you think make help putting drop them off here thanks.
  7. Sounds interesting....Thanks man.
  8. What you said really fits the bill of what I've heard everywhere else. So far I'm leaning towards CB3s right now over the Cobra Amps forged.
  9. Vokeys are definately a wedge you want in your bag. If you look at all wedges in the pros bag ( not saying what the pros use is what you should use) but everyone carrys a Vokey. I only say that because that really shows how much better this wedge is compared to others for nearly every tour player to want one in there bag.
  10. Yes I tried a two ball model and another off brand one that had the shaft in the back and I really really need to get one and try it outside. I made a thread in the swing tips section asking for putting drills and I think if I get one of these and it hits the same as I did inside I will definately get the improvement of putting I've been looking for. Like you said it just sits very square to the ball and I feel I have the same problem as you with my normal putter now. I feel like I twist it at time and dont hit it solid. The backstryke I hit solid AND it just felt so nice. Thanks for the find too or else I probably wouldn't of looked at them.
  11. I'll have to pick that up and read it. Thanks for your input guys. Any little bit I can add to what I know now helps.
  12. I am a 70-79 golf and I rarely hit the 80s so I consider myself a decent golfer but one thing that I and almost every golfer on the planet feel I need to work on to significantly lower my scores is putting. Putts outside of 10ft I hit sometimes but not as often as I would like. I always leave it close but I just dont feel confident all the time standing over the ball. Are there any putting that you good putters out there feel helped you the most and that you recommend for everyone else. Please let me know below what kind of putting tips and drills you guys got.
  13. I chose holing a monster putt because my putting is good but not great but my drives are damn near always 300 yards down the middle. So a long putt really gets me amped alot of the time.
  14. Seriously dude chill the **** out...bad day or what?
  15. It's funny because a couple days after I read this thread I was walking around a golf store about 30 miles from my hometown and I had seen a backstryke putter aswell as other putters with the same setup. I remembered this thread and picked one up and started to putt with it and MAN I really want to try it outside on the course. It just sets up really nice for me I think and it just seems i'm able to keep it more steady throughout my swing resulting in nice sold contact hits that go exactly where I intend it to go. I really love it I would pick one up if I could find it cheap just to try it on the course instead of some crappy putting green inside.
  16. Combine both of your logics together and you guys got it lol....Yes I was confused as to did I have to take a drop or can I play it and for the record Its just a straight line of stakes along the left side of number 10 about 60 yards then stops. I'll take a picture of it today and show you guys but no need to argue about it.
  17. For sure but I had an opposite effect just yesterday. I ended up shooting a 79 round but I felt like I did terrible.
  18. That's good to hear about the shafts...I assume they were the stock kbs steel shaft?
  19. If it were me I would just wait because you wont be using your current clubs for too much longer and you may sell them after you get your mizunos. Also I'm assuming your mizunos are coming to you stock so you are going to have to change the lie angle on those clubs in your favor right? So just save the money to change the lie angle on the Mizunos would be my advice to you. As far as doing it yourself whether you got the money to spend on the tools and you feel comfortable doing it go for it.
  20. I'm sure alot of you have hit both the Cb3s and Cobra Amps and I am looking for your opinion on the two sets. If you hit both which did you prefer and why? What did you like about them? What did you not like about them? How did it feel when you hit? How is your game normally and how did it change when you hit them? Any other info you guys can give would be great!
  21. I played in my club championship 1 week ago and got 2nd next to a guy who used to be a pro so Im satisfied. But what really was helping me was straight shots all day. I wasn't scrambling to get on the green and most of all I WAS MAKING PUTTS. If I were you putt putt putt putt and putt some more. Putting is 99 percent of the time a deal breaker. Making putts over 10ft will save you big time in score compared to alot of players if they are 2-3 putting alot. My tournament results were 73 first day and 75 second day I lost by 2 strokes as the guy shot a 73 first day and 73 second day. I was in it until I triple bogied hole 16 on the 2nd day =(
  22. Thanks guys after some more research I think I got my answer appreciate the feedback
  23. Just got home a couple hours ago shot a 78 and played terrible for my standards on the front nine. Shot a 41 on the front and 37 on the back. Just was landing short on approach shots leaving me long putts for birdies and more than a few times 20 foot putts for par =\
  24. I believe you and Im sure most people here do to believe it or not just alot people are the keyboard warrior type and start shit at the drop of a dime man. Just keep playing and practicing dont worry about nay sayers.
  25. I choose 5 iron as well.... I never seem to end up at the 190-200 mark too often at my home course.
