Ok lets straighten this out before it gets out of hand. I havent been in the field for 25 years however I do have some experence (working with TM germany nike germany and titlest germany) As gascan stated some can be sanded down without worry, I didnt get this detailed my mistake.. Sorry your right in the fact that the shaft fails more then the hosel, however I have seen a couple crack or totally break thru (from 3 big companies) I guess we all speak from our own experence, there is always the exception to the rule. I personally like to use the right tool and part for the job and never "rig" someones equipment (not saying you do or anything) but somepeople make mistakes and I feel Im here to help them whenever possible.. and I do think time spent somewhere does count for something goodluck and again sorry...

your first comment is really incorrect.. you can sand down the tip, like I said however its not recommened.. and drilling out the head DOES compromise the structural integrity of the head, and anytime you make changes to something from the factory it can cause trouble.. Most clubmakers will only do it when you sign a release.. you might want to reread your post before you start making comments to some of the members that have been here helping other members for quite sometime..

I just open my humi and take whatever I feel like smoking, plus a couple of extras incase someone else wants one.. I played with group last weekend, three guys two of whom I already knew.. Met them at the first tee, we all teed off got the green in two.. Had to wait for other young guy in the group so I decided to light my stogie. Offered the other guys one both of the gents I knew took one and the younger guy was freaking out about the smell how bad it was for your health etc etc.. I tee up and hit my ball to the green (par 3) wait for the other guys the younger guy is up. Slices the hell out of the ball he flips then yells at me that my cigar is bothering him and he cant play. Sorry I say and move a good distance away, he takes his second swing slice again.. As were walking he bitching and moaning about this and that, then all of a sudden he lights a cig?!?!?!?! I ask what about health issues and all that crap u said at the first tee??!?!?!?! he saids nothing and goes on.. needless to say I will never play with him again and I made sure whenever I puffed hit went right to him..

It can be done, do I recommend it?? No...... With your handicap I would recommend sticking with the .350 hosel.. $0.02

glad things worked out for you and you were able to find the right driver.. if the rep said your swing speed is 120mph and your carrying 260ish, cant be right. With a swing speed that fast with that loft is to much IMHO of course I wasnt there and didnt see the read out from the monitor.. But the figures your telling me just dont match.. Was this a fitting pro or some sales rep from X store?? Tigers swing is 125mph with a ball speed of close to 180mph and he hits well over 300 yards... yours I could see around 90 ish maybe 98mph I checked my swing speed and it comes in around 100 to 115 top, with this swing speed I can carry 300 yards. Of course it also depends on your angle of attack i.e. hitting down on the ball with the driver.. However again I wasnt there to see your swing results myself..

well this friday I have to have knee done again.. the right one (this is the 3rd time on this knee) tried to play today limped 16 holes then I could take it anymore. My last swing was all good till the right knee gave out on me and I hit the ground 6 inchs behind the tee, and almost fell on my a$$.. This is the suppose to be the good knee, the left one has been butchered 5 times.. Man I took this sport up because the doctor told me I couldnt play hockey anymore.... Anyway doc said it would be about 4 to 6 weeks before I can swing a club.. I think Im gonna go crazy.......

I really dont like when people do this, there wasting my time and taking me away from a customer that might buy something.. I love helping people even if they tell me right away that there not going to buy anything. I still take the time to answer there questions and demo clubs. I just rather they be upfront with me.. just my $0.02

That is the reason I stated "if" you notice a difference that can be changed without too much trouble.. and as far as kick point, that wont be a noticeable difference either.. goodluck

true, but really its a cameron putter trust me if scott left titleist to work for somebody else then tiger would still be having scott make him his putter..

This amount shouldnt be a big deal.. I cut shafts all the time, if you notice a change in swing weight then that can taken care of without too much work..
