I hate bunkers that are so hard I can't leave footprints in. I hate bunkers that don't have enough sand, only have a half inch deep of sand. I hate over watered greens that anyone over 200 Lbs, leaves deep footprints around the hole. I hate over watered fairways where they leave the grass cuttings on the fairway and my ball looks like a green hairball. I hate greens that don't have a line from a ball on the green to a 4 foot circle around the hole.

If I am tied with another player for my club championship and the other player gets into trouble and the rules official makes an incorrect/illegal ruling that enables my opponent to win. Do I have any recourse? Are rules officials alowed to violate the rules of golf?

It's like marrying the first girl you see. You have to find a good one. I may not be able to explain myself but I will try. Most pro's are not good teachers. Only a few pro's could get letters of recommendations from more than one student who went from scoring 125 to scoring in the 70's or low 80's. If your pro has never helped anyone lower their score from over 100 to 70's. Unless you are talking about their lowering the amount of cash in your wallet. If your pro has never had success with other students, what kind of success do you think they will help you achieve?

Lets discuss this question looking at hackers and amateurs. Last month I went to visit family in florida. They live in a gated community with golf course. I played everyday with seniors, many women who scored in low eighties. One woman in particular hit from the women's t's which were 50 to 100 ft in front of the men's T's. She hit her shots straight every time. Driver 100-125 yards. so she was always thae first to hit second shots. Woods always straight. Chips and pitches straight and she knew her distances. Putting was 2 putts or less per green. My brother in law said she is the most consistent player in the community. Usually scores around 80-85 inspite of short distance off the T. 4 years ago I played with an eighty year old man in Pa. We both played from the White T's. He only hit 150 from the t, hit his 7 wood just under 150, and could chip and bump and run his 7 iron any distance up to 100 yds he wanted. Usually chipped right next to the hole for an easy 1 putt. Except for four holes which were too long for him, he scored a 75 on a parr 72 course. He said he played five days a week in florida where he lived.

This is not a simple question! Lets turn it around. 1. Ask your wife to choose between her mother or you! 2. Does your wife have her priorities in order. Is her husband, children, and normal responsibilities in order, or does her mother always come first before everything else? 3. Does the husband or wife expect the family to be all about him or her. Does everyone and their interests have value in the family. Or does someone believe the world revolves around them and their interests.

Yesterday, I rode another whole round of 18 and felt exhausted after finishing. This morning when I woke up, my legs muscles are real sore and my body muscles are a little stiff. My sister said maybe I was using different muscles to get in and out of the cart. And they couldn't take that many reps of getting up out of the cart and sitting down into the cart. And the other muscles that I used walking weren't ready to do a double workout. I also realize that doing this workout with an additional 75 pounds on my body is crazy. I have to lose this weight. I am newly retired and trying to lose weight, I have cut sugar completely out of my diet and cut back on all the others. The weight isn't coming off yet so more needs to be done.

I fear I have a health problem. I walk 9 holes three times a week with little problem. But when I ride 18 holes I am exhausted by hole 15. Drinking lots of water makes no difference. Snack bars and energy drinks don't help. But stopping for a meal yesterday after nine holes seemed to help a lot. My doctor thinks I am crazy but does anyone have an idea what is going on with my body. I am 62 years old and 75 pounds over-weight with a slight sugar problem. Thanks!

I am thinking about buying a Galvin Green jacket at http://www.premiumgolf.co.uk/golf-ga...yerGoreTex.htm They have four jackets, Alfred, Argus, Austin, & Abraham. Does anything have any experience with Galvin Green gore tex. and could advise me. So far I want something with a full zipper, easy to play in, and is warmer in cold, windy, rainy weather. Are they easy to care for? And I would also like to get pants. Do sizes run the same as in the US I use XL. Are they better than Zero Restriction and Dry joys. Also is there any problems with using a credit card from USA to buy in the UK.

With the cost of flying and extra fees for taking your clubs. Does anyone make two golf bags that will fit side by side in a hard travel case or a golf glove case?

Starting out I couldn't play all the clubs and shots. A full Iron set was a waste of money I only could use the PW thru 8I. I couldn't play the driver, 3w and 5w. I had better success with a 7w and 9w, now days I would look at hybrid utilitys along with the woods. I should have bought quality and only the ones I could hit well. Get fitted for length and lie. 1. Buy a good mallet 2 ball putter. 2. buy a good sand wedge. 3. buy a good pitching wedge 4. Buy a good 8 Iron 5. Buy the easiest wood/hybrid utility to use. for me a 9 or 7wood or 6H or 5H. Back then I used the 7w for the T and fairway. 6. When and If I could hit a longer hybrid or 3w or a driver for the T. I could have bought the five top of the line clubs for 6 hundred dollars. These clubs will hit all the shots and distances from 1 yard to 175 yards. Back when I started why should I have carried two or three clubs that will do the same thing. Also why carry clubs that mess up the score because I wasn't good enough to hit them.

GPS help a lot but they are not perfect. This summer I was in Myrtle Beach on a course with GPS in the carts. On one hole my cart and my brothers were side by side and facing the green. The GPS in the two carts were reading 93 and 98 yards. Also on courses you don't know, do the GPS units tell you the line to the green when you can't see the flag or green, or the line to hit off the T so you don't deliberately hit out of bounds.

I am a man and I have experienced the same treatment that the author shares that women have received, whenever I have ventured into "in group" territory. Many times, I have been treated like a second class human or sub human by members of "in groups" who think I am invading their playground, or territory. In groups are not limited to men and their clubs and special golf courses. I have had "in groupers" try to exclude me who were male, female, rich, poor, black, white, all religions. We have to remember that most people are not like the "In group Bigots". And I am thankful that the bigots fly their colors so quickly allowing me to discern people who I would rather not be around. In summary: "Birds of a feather flock together." I would not want to belong to the Augustas of today because they are not the kind of people I would want to associate with or have my children seeing me associate with!

If I signed up for GHIN and then played Torrey Pines twenty days in open conditions and entered over twenty scores of 90 to 99 in GHIN what would my handicap be calculated to be?

Can you break 100 at Torrey Pines in US Open setup?

If four of us played Torrey Pines twenty days in open conditions and entered our twenty scores of 90 to 99 in GHIN what would our handicap be calculated to be? This also sounds like a set up to embarass someone or something. -
I am looking for a small carry bag for 6 to 8 clubs. I am not looking for those all cloth roll up bags, sometimes called sunday bags. I saw one with a solid bottom, narrower, for less clubs last summer and now realize I would like a bag like it. Since it would be easier to carry since it is narrower, lighter, that I can carry with less effort.

Did you know that everyone feels what you feel! Just remember to be nice, and have a lot of good clean fun. If you are nice and have a lot of good clean fun, in time, the nice people who have a lot of good clean fun - that you want to be around will be around you!

What about those Oakmont CC members who have 10 handicaps. What scores do they make on oakmont from the back or pro t's. Are they really 10 handicappers or are they really plus handicappers at other courses?
