  1. great answer!
  2. so when do we start posting pictures of the wives / girlfriends?? (lol)
  3. Your welcome. I do them after my cardio work out but I really don't think it makes a difference. These are harder then they look so be prepared to control your breathing. You will find the core muscles under definite strain, but it's a good thing!
  4. OK I started doing these about a year ago. I am 55 and have been an avid gym rat for 25 years. Nothing I have done has helped me with my core strength as much as these simple exercises. They are awesome. You can do them every day, they work. Plank with Diagonal Arm Lift Assume a modified pushup position with your feet shoulder-width apart, forearms on the floor. Keeping your torso steady, raise your right arm for-ward and to the right, so that it points to 2 o'clock. Hold for 2 seconds, then lower and repeat with your left arm, raising it to 10 o'clock. That's one rep. Your elbows should be bent 90 degrees and directly under your shoulders. Side Bridge Lie on your side with your forearm on the floor under your shoulder to prop you up, and your feet stacked. Contract your core and press your forearm against the floor to raise your hips until your body is straight from ankles to shoulders. Hold for 15 to 45 seconds, then repeat on the other side. Contract your abs and butt muscles forcefully to keep your body straight.
  5. A classic beauty and Italian to boot.
  6. It's gonna be a long winter! Glad your using it and someday you'll be able to take it on the course. Happy snow shoveling.
  7. That had to be painful. Glad your better. Hate injuries. A certain amount of flushing is also part of stretching as your holding one particular position for a period of time, putting pressure on certain muscles. “You must stretch.” The message is passed onto exercisers with all types of goals - from weight loss to athletic performance achievement to swinging a golf club. And the message is that increasing the flexibility of a muscle-tendon body part makes exercise and golfing more efficient and may help you prevent injury or muscle soreness. Stretching is often recommended to be included in warm-up and cool-down phases of any exercise. Golfing is an exercise of many body muscle groups and tendons located in both your upper and lower body. Proper stretching with Golflexx prior to, during and after a round of golf will greatly decrease your risk of injury. Stretching is not necessarily the same as warming up or cooling down, although stretching may be part of these activities. And to make matters a little more complicated, the benefits of stretching with Golflexx or in general can be considered in four phases: Immediately before a round of golf or exercise During your round of golf Immediately after a round of golf As part of a regular daily program, even when you’re not golfing Read on to see the following topics of discussion that includes consideration of these various aspects of stretching and warm-up with Golflexx. Benefits of Stretching with Golflexx Using Golflexx for a daily stretching routine has been promoted as having the following benefits: Increase or maintain flexibility for day-to-day or performance functionality Prevent injury during golf and other exercise activity Increase performance in your overall game of golf Offset muscle soreness after exercise by using your Golflexx properly Maintain Flexibility Playing a round of golf and physical activity in general helps us maintain flexibility into older age. By following our specific routine of stretching exercises Golflexx may help in this process. Prevent Golf Injury In golf as in many sports activities flexibility is an integral part of the performance requirements, regular stretching to increase flexibility to extreme levels is necessary. While golfing muscles and tendons are stretched and shortened suddenly and powerfully. To prevent the possibility of injury a golfer should warm up properly, stretch prior to swinging a golf club and keep those muscles and tendons loose and free from injury. Using Golflexx will help do this weather you’re a golfer or not. Increase Performance overall and club head speed The golf swing produces explosive power coming out of your back swing going into making contact with the ball. This motion transfers into club head speed. With proper warming up and stretching you will increase your chance of producing that speed needed for a longer drive as well as control and consistency. Golflexx………Stretch it out!
  8. Have you heard the term “stretch and keep playing”? These words hold true no matter how old or how young of a golfer you are. It’s never too early or too late to start a regimented routine of stretching. The short amount of time you will spend doing simple movements with Golflexx will lengthen the small and large muscle groups used in the golf swing, get the blood circulating to help prevent injury and help you enjoy the game of golf long into your later years of life. One of the more important areas of the body needing to be warmed up prior to swinging a club is the ribcage and the surrounding muscle groups. This area is one that seemingly gets overlooked by golfers. The action of switching from the top of your backswing into the downward movement of your follow through puts an undue amount of stress on your ribcage. Rib injuries can occur due to a variety of other motions particular to different sports including golf. Stretching that part of your upper body is essential before any taking a club into your backswing, then into your full front swing. By using Golflexx and following our simple routine, Dr. Fox describes in exercise number 2 how to rotate your core properly which will warm the long ligaments and muscle groups between the ribs known as the intercostal muscle group. Our patented approach to pre-loading your Golflexx, something that can’t be done with any of your clubs, will allow the major muscles used in your golf swing to properly circulate the blood necessary for a proper stretch, preventing injury. After using Golflexx for the first time you will never leave your home without it in your bag. If you find that hard to believe just go to our website and see for yourself, people just like you have posted testimonials and continue to do so. Take advantage of our March Madness by purchasing your Golflexx and getting a second Golflexx at half price with FREE shipping. Visit us on the web at www.golflexx.com for details. 9. NP.....I love these old school shots. These guys made a fraction of what they make today on tour and played with raw equipment, not the high tech stuff out there now. Gotta love those guys.
  10. This is an awesome shot. This is Eric "The Sheik" Monti playing at the LA Open from behind a tree. 1940's. Hit's the ball as if the tree was not even there. That's gotta be hard to do. Look at the club after making contact with the ball...then the tree! Great shot.
  11. Thumb strengthening while using Golflexx creates faster texting! (kidding). Our specific grip instruction and thumb / finger placement is meant to keep users from over-flexing their Golflexx. During the R&D; process we handed Golflexx units out to between 15 and 20 PGA professionals at a local tournament here in Oregon, the Jeld Wen Tournament, where Golflexx sponsored a booth. During that time we took advice from many pro's who tried Golflexx out on the range. It was an awesome day as we watched some very big names using our product. It was suggested that thumb placement should be specifically put on the grip as such allowing the user to get maximum benefit from the pre-loading process. Our spokes person Dr. Donald Fox agreed. You can, however, hold the ends with your thumbs wrapped around the grips once you get used to your flex limit. There are several recommended exercises that require your thumbs to be on the grips as per the instructional DVD but adjust them according to your comfort level, just don't flex more then the apprx. 6 degree limit. Keep in mind pre-loading your unit is meant for stretching and not so much for strength training although you will get some benefit to strengthening the muscles used. Hope that helps and thank you all for your input and support.
  12. Had some questions regarding this issue. Golflexx is permitted under the USGA Rules Of Golf. Golflexx Stretch it out!
  13. All good suggestions but....don't forget to stretch! I can quote the benefits of stretching all day long and those who don't think they should are probably too young to understand the huge benefit of doing it now, and that it's never too late. Stretching may take a back seat to your exercise routine. You may think that going out and playing any sport, especially golf, after not playing for a period of time is OK and all you have to do is work out a little prior to. The main concern is exercising, not stretching, right? Not so fast . Stretching may help you improve your flexibility, which in turn may improve your athletic performance and decrease your risk of injury. Understand why stretching can help — and how to stretch correctly. Benefits of stretching Young or old.....limber or stiff....fact is in most cases everyone needs to incorporate a solid stretching routine in their daily work out. The main benefits of stretching are thought to be: Improving athletic performance Decreasing the risk of activity-based injuries Stretching can help improve flexibility. And better flexibility may improve your performance in physical activities or decrease your risk of injuries by helping your joints move through their full range of motion. For instance, say your lower back muscles are tight and lack flexibility. If you do a lot of playing and swinging of the club, your upper body and torso may not move through its full range of motion. Over time, this can increase your risk of injury. Proper stretching the major muscles used in the golf swing, though, may improve the range of motion. Increased range of motion equates into longer distance, more accurate shots and better play overall not to mention much less risk of injury. Stretching also increases blood flow to the muscle. And you may come to enjoy the ritual of stretching before — after — and even during your round of golf. Think about a good stretching regiment and be sure to include it into your routine. 10 short minutes of stretching a day may save you a lifetime of stiffness. Stretch it out!
  14. Hey Travis hit as many as you can. My father in law Eric Monti, golf professional circa 1940's played with some of the great legends of golf as a boy used to sit at the driving range for hours hitting balls. The range used to close down when it got dark, he used to put the lights on his car in the parking lot to light the range and hit more. He would go through way more then 200 balls, more like 1,000 balls a day but that is what it took to be a professional. Guess it depends on your stamina and dedication.
  15. President of LCB IV LLC which owns our product Golflexx amongst a couple others. I love our products and Golflexx is one that gives me a thrill every time a user sends us their feedback to let us know how it's helped them not only with their game but with their overall flexibility. Oh yea...I also like playing contests. Here is one. First one who can message me back and tell me who is playing golf in this picture wins a FREE GOLFLEXX UNIT . The guy nailing yet another perfect drive with a perfect follow through in his swing is non other then Eric “The Sheik” Monti, my late, great father in law. The picture was taken at Riviera Country Club in the LA Open in 1945 . Who is The Sheik partnered up with? Good luck...have fun.
  16. New member here...I have the P90X DVD's laying around I'd be willing to share. Need to know where to send em. Let me know. They are definitely a good work out. The only think I wasn't too fond of is listening to Tony Horton yap yap yap throughout the work out, but, you can mute the sound and still get the idea of what's going on. Lemme know!
  17. Hey Ron.....awesome! We have quite a few on-line affiliates representing Golflexx. It's a great tool, simple to use and should be used throughout the year to keep those "pesky" muscles limber. It's amazing how stiff we get as we creep up in age but that doesn't mean you have to wait until your a senior to stretch. We've got thousands in use by PGA and LPGA members, golf instructors and golfers like you and I.....the ones who just love to play. In fact, we have a nice following of folks who don't golf at all but use Golflexx to stay flexible. Please let me know directly if you have any questions with our product. I'm happy to help anytime! Stretch it out!
  18. Thanks for the warm welcome Mr Desmond. Just getting used to navigating around the site. Appreciate your viewing our product! Tony
