Not sure if this information is noted somewhere else on this topic (I've been going back looking but 90+ pages is a lot), I've heard that the prize money is being paid on top of the contracts but have also heard that it's not paid and is counted in the initial payouts? Does anyone know the actual truth? It's funny how all these guys go to LIV and talk about how great it is but no one really says anything about $. I have looked to try to find that info but I don't think anyone really has any of the actual numbers.

We got rained out on Tuesday last year, so we got tickets this year.

Waiting for summer break to be over...

This is exactly what I was thinking when the news came down. Why wouldn't other players follow this same path. Why bail on the Pga tour in the middle of season?

Wasn’t sure where to post this…this is awful. Waiting for the Barbasol to come out of rain delay. And by the way, I could beat Steph Currey at golf all day every day. I wish LIV golf was on YouTube.

Isn't she working for one of the networks?

Phil: The Rip-Roaring (and Unauthorized!) Biography… by Alan Shipnuck

It's funny. You read one part of the book and think "wow, what a great guy" and the next paragraph you think "wow, what a dick". -

Apparently, Bones was also upset that he never got any of the flags from a major win (or any other). And when he did finally, Phil signed his name huge all over the flags so it kind of ruined them. 🤣 -
Red Bull starting to dominate after Spain. Still hoping for some respectability for Haas. Not sure if I'm all that impressed with Mick Shumacher.

Need a 3- Or 4-Hybrid

I carry a three and four hybrid. Both are Tour Edge. I switched to those from Callaway and have never looked back. High and long. -
Phil: The Rip-Roaring (and Unauthorized!) Biography… by Alan Shipnuck

Update. I'm through the whole book and have concluded that you can listen to author on podcasts/interviews and get just about everything out of those. There are a few other things (Bones reasons for actually "firing" Phil instead of a "mutual parting of ways") but for the most part you don't need to buy the book. If you are really interested in hearing about Phil's younger years, you will want to buy the book. Most of that information I feel like I've heard before. It is pretty entertaining. -

I'm about half way through it (audio book). So far it's mostly the stuff I've heard the author talk about on pod casts. A few new things but not much. I'm wondering if after listening to him on all the pods and interviews, if I didn't hear the entire book? -
Heritage Club is down that way too. It's a good course also.

Not sure if you have time but Southern Dunes is a track. One of my favorites around.

Played early again this past Sunday. Actually enjoyed it more because I didn't get completely sh*t faced on Saturday night. Plus it wasn't quite as wet and cooler. Starting to become a morning golfer.

Now I'm hearing that LIV is not going to have team events this year? It's basically not a "tour" but events that are just going to be run opposite some PGA events etc. ?

Second shot into a 510 yard par 5. Hit a three wood into the hole on back left side of the green and watched it disappear into the hole. Water down the whole left side of fairway and in front of the green. Won a few skins with that one. I’ve had three hole in ones but it was cool to see the ball roll into the hole on a par 5 for the deuce. I still remember it perfectly and it was 25 years ago.

This past week-end we played golf early in the morning (first tee time) in order to play faster (which we were able to do). However, it was agreed that while we played faster, some in the group don't like playing that early for various reasons (too wet, couldn't get loose until the 4 or 5 hole, not awake etc.). I personally don't really give a sh*t other than I don't like getting up that early on a week-end. I would admit that I would rather play later because I don't like playing the wet conditions unless I'm doing it for a reason (tournament or $ game). What say you?

I tried some Oncore elixr balls that one of my golfing buddies gave me. Actually not too bad. I think I got a little more distance out of them than my usual ball (Snell MTB). I think the Snell is better around the greens and into the greens. I don't think the elixr is a bad ball but I would probably stick with my Snell.

I'm looking forward to the Miami race. It's always interesting on a new track. Not to mention...I'll be there!😜

I listen to a lot of golf podcasts but for some reason I have never really gotten into this one. It's really blown up but I've never gotten hooked. I would have thought that I would.

I wasn't sure where to put this thread but I just watched the ESPN 30 for 30 about Greg Norman. I was never really a Norman fan but I don't really dis-like him either. Obviously I think most people remember the 1996 Masters, but after watching the documentary, I guess I never realized how good he was. I'm not sure if he choked away all those majors or just got a little bit unlucky? I am also wondering if his involvement with LIV golf will in any way tarnish (more) of his legacy? He's seems like he's at peace with his career etc. so I guess he doesn't give a sh*t.

A good weekend for Red Bull. Ferrari took a dump on their home track. Not really a fan for or against Ferrari so it doesn't really matter to me. Still waiting for Haas...

What's it Like to Spectate at a Major Tournament?
Bucki1968 replied to Dornenglanz's topic in Golf Talk
The only Major I have attended is the Masters (on Thursday and Saturday). I have been there a few times so as I have done it, I've have learned a couple things. When I go now, I take (or buy) a couple chairs and head to a spot where I can see a few holes. For example, behind 12 is great because you can see a few holes with different shots. 16 isn't a bad place up on the hill. Once we put the chairs down (they have our names on them) we usually walk around the course and watch various players until we get tired and then head back to the seats and sit and watch. It's the only sporting event I have been to that consistently exceeds my expectations. I would recommend it every single time. I love having a sandwich and a beverage and watching the groups come through amen corner. One more thing, get there early. -
I (wife and I) actually joined a private club(s) and are paying more for faster rounds. However, even at the private clubs, it's still pretty slow. We are fortunate (on our home course) to get around in four hours. It usually takes longer. Two other courses we are members at, have 36 and 27 holes so we get around those quicker.
