  1. It seems as though it has become even more of a "pay for play" list. I know it always has been, but at least they used to try and hide it a little better. I only like reading the testers' comments since they are more honest than the actual write ups.
  2. Sorry, it is an April retail date for them.
  3. I would definitely replace it since you had to add a lot of bounce taking an AP1 PW from 45* to 48*.
  4. It's a four piece version of the Chrome, they say it is longer than the current Chrome but spins a little more off of the driver than the HEx Black Tour. I think the retail date for it is in March.
  5. Where is your eye position in relation to the ball at your setup? Do you have a straight back-straight through stroke or do you have some arc in it? Generally speaking, if you are a straight back-straight through person, you should have your eyes directly over the ball, if you have a slight arc, you want your eyes a little inside of the ball at address.
  6. I'm looking forward to trying the new Hex Chrome+ that is due out in March, I got to hit a few shots with it when I was out at the Callaway HQ and was impressed. I am also looking forward to trying the new Nike 20XI, hopefully it has a little better feel than the original version.
  7. I would practice with what you are going to play with, that way you will get accustomed to how they perform so you can know what to expect on the course.
  8. The Callaway Hex Chrome has the same cover as the Hex Black Tour, so you will get similar green side spin. It isn't quite as low spinning off of the driver than the Hex Black Tour though.
  9. The effective lie angle gets one degree more upright for every half inch of added length, and one degree flatter for every half inch taken off.
  10. That is a static fitting, it is based on averages. The dynamic is when you hit off the lie board and that is much more personalized to your swing. If it is possible, this is the preferred method for fitting since it would be with the clubs you are going to get and you are actually hitting balls.
  11. You can get the club head customized for an extra charge. I think the all black combination is pretty cool looking, just doesn't have much shelf appeal for retailers.
  12. I got to go out there in January, I had never played a Callaway club and was extremely impressed with the entire line. I signed a staff deal with them and just got in all of my clubs for 2013 except the wedges. It is nice to see them rebuilding the brand, great products and finally a good marketing program.
  13. Ping will have you go to an authorized retailer to have them send the clubs in to be adjusted. The nice part of this is that they will actually change the color dot on the club and update their database to have the new color code attached to the serial number in their system. The retailer will charge you, probably a few dollars more than Ping charges them (5-7 dollars per club) and shipping.
  14. I fall into option C. I enjoy practicing as much as playing and will often times go out late in the afternoon and hit two shots per hole or drop balls in different places and hit different shots from each spot.
