Act like a jerk on the course like Tiger does and it shows a terrible example for children and aspiring golfers. If you took the "greatest" golfer's lead on the golf course you would end up throwing your clubs on the ground or "near" fans. cussing all the time. acting without class nearly daily. cheating on your wife and yes of course actions do count in your character. basically take all that and he's really a bad guy.

There's not that room for error when you are at top of the golf world. you can't do it once. its not acceptable. and it was AT fans.

Played bayhill a few weeks ago and was really disappointed to hear that Arnie wasn't there that weekend. I really wanted to meet him and from what I hear he just hangs around the course and clubhouse talking to members and guests. Planning on going back next year and hopefully he will be there.

malicious intent or not. his intent was to throw the club and the result was it ended up in the gallery.
-
try and tell me thats not intentional. Do i like his game and think hes great yes. his 76 wins are undisputed but his class is lacking.
-
So in so, tiger woods, is unfriendly because he throws his clubs at fans in the gallery, refuses to interact with fans "after work" an has a poor attitude you can see displayed on the course

It would be pretty hard and that may be something i'd like to try in the future. Always up for a new challenge, just need to get some grant money so i can buy the clubs to have the subjects use them .

You may argue that cars and clubs can't be compared but that is not necessarily true because I can have a rebuttal to each of your remarks especially clubs not having a potentially short lifespan. But this theory is not based of the auto industry solely. We studied all market behaviors from items as small and simple as toilet paper to vehicles. And many inbetween. It seems that the smaller priced items actually have stronger brand loyalty because the amount of though put into purchasing those items is significantly less than an expensive item. Blind tests are a bit different though because that takes the entire brand element out of the decision process. If given two irons taped up without seeing the brand you may hit them and choose the one you like the most with little or no brand loyalty; assuming that you aren't trying to compare the clubs you hit to similar feeling clubs of certain brands.

they probably will "like" that product simply because of a positive experience they have previously had with that product. they may buy a product they "don't like" because of many different reasons including the one previously listed and some more: fear of change, not wanting to do research, habit, maybe its their first set and they have tried all sorts of clubs and say ping is what they hit best with but all they know about golf is "my dad hits taylor made" or my friend who's good hits "mizuno" they will buy a product off of a reference or even someone else's experience. Forget about golf clubs and think about cars for a minute. Say you have driven Chevy silverados for ever since you were 16 and need a new truck. First off most people of this situation aren't likely to consider a f150 but even if they drove one and it rode better had nicer features etc. The positive experiences you have had with a chevy and the loyalty you have created since driving it forever are going to push you towards buying a silverado. This isn't the case for everyone but it is the majority.

neither i have done significant amounts of marketing research pertaining to American retail industry.
-
considering most people in america buy retail items due to brand loyalty, and because people are sometime embarrassed to say so, your poll results may not come out accurately. alot of marketing research has been conducted on brand loyalty and it is a real thing. The idea is that even though you buy clubs because of the way they play you are more apt to buy the same brand again because of the positive experience you had with that brand. hence why this poll doesnt really make sense.

Phil, cink, davis love all great guys. payne stewart was a really great guy too. Tiger not so much. he often takes cut throughs in the woods on the way to the clubhouse to avoid fans asking for signatures. Sergio is one of my favorite golfers but i was really disappointed when i followed him an entire thursday round one year at east lake and he tossed me a ball on the way to the 13th. it had his stamp on it which looks like a monkey. i went ahead and skipped to autograph area after the 18th hole when he was on 16 so i could have a spot and get him to sign it on the way into the clubhouse. he got around to me and i handed him the ball. he replied "i don't sign balls" i said thats ok but its your ball and showed him his stamp, he insisted on not signing it so i settled for a signed ticket stub but was really disappointed. I still kept the ball but wish it had that sig. I thought that was kind of cheesy.

Hilarious. These guys just want to have fun. Bubba has said it before golf is boring and he is just out there having fun.

Please explain to me the differences in the 710 and 712 except for cosmetics.

I recently just picked up a set of AP2s and love them so far. I haven't had them long enough to be able to comment on the wear but I would expect them to wear just like any other set of forged irons.

I think its going to take some time before Rory will get used to those clubs. Same problems in Abu Dabi

I wanted to click other and say that one of the possible reasons is because equipment is considered obsolete after 6 months and it really is just aggravating to see people waste all their money on the newest stuff every 6 months and then have no money left to even play with the clubs they have bought.

I agree and I didn't mean that woods didn't once have the ability but he doesn't perform well in Ryder cups consistently and other match play tournaments anymore. Plus I am not really sold on the fact that he's back like everyone else has said. His win at Torrey pines which happens to be one of his favorite courses and he still didn't hit that many fairways. He scrambled and won. Not the same dominating woods we once all knew.

Favorite Robert Trent Jones Course

That does have a resemblance with that dogleg right and bunkers out to the left -
If you have played any courses on the RTJGT which one was your favorite? I played Capitol Hill in Prattville and played the Senator which is a links style course with over 160 bunkers. They have some good specials going on till March 10 might go play Highland Oaks course since its only 150 mile drive.

Most difficult course you've ever played....

Played that course under the exact same conditions. When the wind and elevation changes played to your advantage it was nice but hitting uphill approach shots into the wind was not easy. -

Kinderlou Forest Golf club in Valdosta GA. The Tips are 7700 yard with a rating of 77.3 and slope of 143. Of course i didn't play from back there but a challenging course indeed. The South Georgia Classic is played there (Web.com tour) -

Played Bayhill this weekend and it was awesome. The wind was blowing so hard that the forecaddie said under tournament conditions they would have called it for the day but we played on. Unfortunately Arnie wasn't there this weekend so we will have to go back again and see him. Here are a few pics just before it got real dark. You can see the headlights from the cart on the pic of 18. Also note the grandstands (its getting close to tournament time). This course has one of the best sets of finishing holes I have ever played. 16,17,18 are all just great holes that provide challenges and are fun to play. 17 Green Bayhill 18 Green from approach shot Bayhill -
I have read around on some other posts about shaft weights and what not and understand the idea behind the different weights. I went into golfsmith when I was in Orlando playing Bay Hill this weekend and I tried out a titleist 910D2. I am ready to upgrade my driver since I am playing an old R5 and am losing distancee due to 10.5 and R flex. I am looking at getting a stiff flex but dont know if should go with the 65 or 72 gram shaft. My club head speed is averaging right around 100-105 MPH and the spin I was getting with the 910&913 were right under 2000. I cannot remember the weight on the shaft I was hitting. What do yall recommend.
