  1. Completely agree. I think these are the best GI clubs on the market in terms of feel with forgiveness.
  2. Not really a good comparison. Since the CG reds are more tour quality irons for better players. CG gold would be equivelant to the FP's though. Not sure about the Mac Gregors since I've never personally hit them.
  3. Cody is right, the S9 are super game improvement irons with a huge top line. The FP's are for lower handicaps. You can also get the 2007 FP's for $349. Great deal
  4. That's why I like playing by myself if I'm going to score the round. I played on Sunday and it took me 3hrs 18min. Would have been shorter, but it was a new course with 3 nine hole layouts so I got lost going to my back nine.
  5. Amazing! I holed my first 150+yd shot last week. Great feeling and has me more hooked than ever. My GF prays I never get a hole in one or I will never leave the course.
  6. I play once a week and practice twice per week. Twighlight rounds range from $19-$35 per round Range balls $50 every 2 weeks Dozen golf balls every 2 weeks $19 per dozen (yes, I lose a lot of balls - hence why I buy the cheapies) So I spend about $240 per month on routine golf purchases. Clubs and other gadgets are extra, but I don't buy those every month. Or at least try not to...
  7. I have 14, but usually only play about 10 in my bag during a round. I can't remember the last time I used a fairway wood. My 2 and 3 hybrids seem to carry the same distance and they are easier to hit.
  8. It's good for the game. But has to be reasonable. I'm a fan of cargo shorts tbh lol
  9. I have the XL, straight and long. Couldn't be happier.
  10. None in my area, and I don't see why they would. Where would I put my extra balls!
  11. I wouldn't be too comfortable hitting that thing anywhere near my 52" HDTV
  12. AK all the way!
  13. Good point, I believe AK was quoted as saying he doesn't like to play 3 weeks in a row and he did just that. Fatigue could have set in. Or he could have just choked. Either way he's a great player with limited experience. He can only get better I would think.

    Putts Per Round

That's what I thought too. Just wanted to get other's take on it. Thanks!

    Putts Per Round

I struggle with keeping the ball in play with my driver at times. But usually my iron play is decent for my handicap. I average about 9-12 GIR on good days. Birdie to bogey is middle name. Just bought a new putter so, we'll see how that improves my game. I can already tell I'm rolling it better. Drained an uphill left to right at around 20ft for par yesterday. One other question, should I be counting putts on the fringe? I mean technically I could chip from there, but I like to putt it out if it's less than 30ft.
  16. Natalie as #1???? I guess I'm more of a fan of the natural beauty as opposed to shlacking make-up on to get your "pretty" face lol Anna Rawson is definately hot. She should have been #1. And Morgan Pressel still has baby fat (possible at her age?) Anyway, she's not hot...cute maybe.
  17. Started to track my putts per round yesterday and it was 44. I've never kept count before, but that seems insanely high. Averages to about 2.4 putts per hole. I know my handicap is still pretty high, but what numbers should I be shooting for to consistently shoot in the 80's? I've only broke 80 twice and my average round is about 92-95 at my home course (69.6 rtg 126 slope)
  18. Great finish Dent! That's how you close out a round. I had a pretty good day myself. Well let me rephrase that, I had one good hole today haha I holed out from 170yds out on a par 4. I didn't even realize it until I got to the green and was looking for my ball for about 2 minutes, then I looked in the cup and walla! Good day for both of us!
  19. Nice points Heather, but I think Michelle Wie was overrated from the get go. The LPGA and the golf world in general were so intent on finding their Tiger equivelant that they created this hype about Michelle. She was a very good amatuer, but she got beat several times. Notably against Yani Tseng, who is a great golfer in her own right. She is no Tiger Woods and will never be close. As far as AK, his back 9 during the second round is ...amazing. For someone to recover after being 5 over and still be in contention shows true mental strength. I will be surprised if he doesn't win at least 2 more tournaments this year.
  20. The difference with Tiger and AK is that Tiger has actually earned the right to talk that way.
  21. I've tried several Scotty's of different models and I still don't see what the hype is about. My $90 putter rolls just as true. Doesn't look as cool, but I can't tell a noticeable difference in feel or accuracy. Actually the best putter I've ever tried was the TM Spider. The head weight is perfect and it just seems to flow right off the face. I'm too cheap to spend $200 on a putter right now, so I went with the Ping Karsten Series.
  22. Just got a new putter and I'm loving the length. 5'9 34" Ping Karsten C67 It's 1inch longer than my old one but I actually putt better with this one. I think the no offset shaft has more to do with it than the length though.
  23. One of the reasons why I love golf. You can compete with any family member regardless of age.
  24. Am I the only one that thinks Natalie looks like a little butch? I've seen her show on TGC and without her golf attire, she's a little hefty lookin. Good player though :)
  25. Interesting note about never missing a cut at a major. Very telling indeed, even if he's only been on tour for 2 years.
