Whats the one shot that you hate most when you blow it ...
ZachIsLegend replied to inthehole's topic in Golf Talk
Roughly 60 yards out.. 52* wedge in my hand.. Game plan: 75% swing, pinch the ball tight, land it slightly long with backspin.. (in practice i feel like i can do this 95/100 times).. However, on the course the % is never that high!.. I either: a) skull it 15 yards long or b) hit behind the ball causing a chunk I think it's all in my head at this point! -
My favorite Mark Crossfield sayings: "Let's get stuck in" "Alright, now let's give this one another wallop!!"

I was wondering if anyone has watching much of Mark Crossfield's youtube videos? And if you have, what do you think of his reviews/instructions?

"Does your husband play golf too?" After someone leave a putt short.

Malachi --- Word substitute for Mulligan.

I don't think i have ever shanked a lay up shot.. and if i thought i might then i would never lay up.. If someone has this issue they may want to practice a heck of a lot more!

Congrats on your first birdie! Practice, practice, practice, and you will get another one before you know it.

Last (Golf) Thing You Bought?
ZachIsLegend replied to JYB's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Long generic Tees, 1 dozen Titleist Pro V1x balls, new brush, Nike golf towel... Wanted a new putter... But nothing made me fall in love. -
And laying down will cause you far less triples and doubles!! It will also cause you shorter putts if your 100 yard game is on!

Cipher stated the truth "You can get better, you need to start practicing correctly." Practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. And if you're not getting better then there is obviously a reason for it. I don't believe I would be spending any more money with an instructor who isn't making me better. I mean, why would you? The whole reason for getting "professional" help was to get better, correct? Find a new pro, devote more time to perfect practice, and you will see your scores slowly dropping!

Overlap vs Interlock vs Baseball Grips
ZachIsLegend replied to mcflynn's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I use the baseball grip.. I know for most it's far to "wristy" but interlocking pulls too hard as i transition downward.. The overlap feels completely unnatural to me as well. I have tried to switch far to many times to count.. For me, the baseball grip feels good and i'm able to use both my hands/wrists in unison. -
Do You Tee Off While the Group Ahead of You Is Putting Out?
ZachIsLegend replied to DirtCheap's topic in Golf Talk
The real question is.. Why would you not tee off? There is no reason to wait, is there? -

Cleveland CG16 irons, Black Pearl vs. Satin Chrome
ZachIsLegend replied to babyworm's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Just looks.. Black Pearl will show signs of fading in the color.. But it takes a while and I don't mind the faded look. Chrome would be your best bet if you don't want a 2 tone looking set of irons. -
Do golf shoes really need spikes?
ZachIsLegend replied to goodputt's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I long while ago, i played a few rounds in tennis shoes and found that i feel more free and flexible on my short game. However, i cannot swing a driver/wood/long iron without slipping. I have a "goofy" friend I play with and sometimes goes barefoot...and he says that he never slips...weirdo! -
anyone use burner 2.0 or mp-h4 irons?
ZachIsLegend replied to moonducks's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'm currently playing TM Burner 2.0 irons (4-AW) and I honestly feel that the irons are the most diverse irons i have ever hit. In the past I played Titleist 755 forged irons, which i liked very much but I wanted to upgrade. After testing about 10 different sets I couldn't find an iron that gave me more distance, consistency, and feel (all 3 at the same). After some time on the range I've been able to work the ball pretty consistently and control my trajectory. I truly believe these irons will make any mid to high hanicapper better. As you get better, the irons will still help in many ways. I don't feel a golfer will ever get to a point where these irons inhibit their game. The only way I will switch to a different set is when i can make perfect contact on 99.9% of my swings... Or when the irons are about five years old and I want to upgrade to the next thing like these (more likely to happen). If you do purchase the TMs I hope you enjoy them as much as i do.. Which i'm sure you will! -ZH -
I'm very disappointed to learn that he's the Taylormade-Adidas Golf, CEO. I've been giving my money to a guy like this? ...Wow.. He's saying that Tiger Woods basically hurt golf? I'm sure Mr. King is making a whole lot more money now then he was prior to Tiger! Also, I would bet far more people under the age of 30 are playing golf today because of the influence that Tiger brought to the game! Just let that crazy man keep talking.. His ignorance will keep pouring out!

Hello everyone! It's good to meet fellow PA'ers,..MY people!! I'm from around the Erie area, all the way up in the northwestern corner of the state. Lake effect always in effect. Finally, some good weather! "Knock on wood!" Enjoy the next 7ish days everyone! Go out and play a lot of golf! -ZH

I'm not sure if you bought this yet or not but it's always a good idea to get the serial # and verify it with the manufacturer. When clubs are "ripped off" it's usually very tough to tell the difference.

I could use some Driver advice
ZachIsLegend replied to Desert's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
ApocG10 is exactly right. The G15 is certainly more forgiving and will have newer technology. I have never been a ping fan but I have hit both the G10 and G15, they are both solid driver and provide a lot of forgiveness. You should check Ebay on both and see what you come up with. I checked Ebay's completed listings on the G10 and G15 for you. These are the prices they're currently selling for: Used G10's: $30 - $40 Used G15's: $45 - $60 Here is a G10 Driver 10.5* Regular Flex - This model is a Draw, which will help your slice a little bit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ping-G10-driver-/271194466401?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash;=item3f24732861 Just do a little research and you most likely could come up with a G15 for less then $40. Hope this helps. -ZH
