  1. I would like to know as well when you find out, because I love reading older books on golf!
  2. Im going to have to agree here except preplace wife with significant other, since im not married. Golf is supposed to be an escape, you can't let your wife/girlfriend in on EVERY little thing you do :)
  3. As fun as it is to play with my buddies, I almost enjoy meeting new people by playing as a single. I have made a few great friendships on the course with like-minded people... It truly takes a special kind of person to play golf, and unless they are a bunch of raging alcoholics or complete hacks taking mulligans every hole, it is always fun to play with new faces
  4. If you don't want to spend $5 to make yourself better, I am at a loss for words...
  5. ^^ Exactly what I was thinking, My grandpa lent me this book when I started golfing, and it looked quite aged. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQMQVhnRRgo5JmmL6KqMF7NQZbeRzCDAIl7gLIF08lmi2B3cmDgMg It's actually called "Ben Hogan's 5 Lessons the Modern Fundamentals of Golf"
  6. . ^this times infinity!!!
  7. Slow play is the BIGGEST game killer for me, and a lot of my buddies would agree. When you have to wait around 10+ minutes to take a shot, your muscles start to stiffen up, and you start playing worse... I have never played a good round when I am forced to wait in excess of 10 minutes on tee shots or approach shots... also when it takes forever to get to a green you lose your putting touch... it is just horrible!!! beginners should spend time at the range if they can't even hit the ball 20+ yards the course is for people with a more refined game! I understand people like to play with their buddies, but you don't see people taking their friends scuba diving without the proper training either.... It is not safe (super errant shots) for one and they need to be trained first!
  8. he should try out the Tour Edge exotics 3+ 11.5 degree driver/fairway wood, not free, but it sure helped my friend who was having one hell of a time with a 9.5 driver... now he can hit it 260 off the deck!
  9. I shot an 81 at Palouse Ridge 2 yrs ago. (the Washington State University course) funny thing is the day before i shot a 104 on the same exact course!!! forgot to mention, my handicap at the time was a 26 and i got a net score in the mid 50s :) needless to say my handicap dropped 4 points overnight lmao...
  10. I would grab my callaway 2 iron, since it has the longest steel shaft of all my clubs, I would hate to break one of my graphite shafts over some useless criminal...
  11. I was about 15 or 16, and still learning, was playing to a 28 hdcap at the time. I was in Hawaii playing Poipu Beach with my father and grandfather. I was hitting my 3rd shot on a par 5 and skulled the ball into the flag that was flopping in the wind... the ball got held and it dropped into the cup! Since then I have made 1 other, and had about 10-20 eagle puts on par 5s (I like to hit it long) but nothing as entertaining or exciting as that one was!
  12. Driver: Ping G25 9.5 degree 3w: Tour edge exotics xcg6 15 degree 5w:Tour edge exotics xcg6/3I Taylormade Rocketbladez Tour (switch depending on the course) 4-pw: Taylormade Rocketbladez tour Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM4 52, 56 and 60 degree wedges (don't always carry 4 wedges, course dependant) Putter: Odyssey Backstryke Dart
  13. I just hit a Vokey SM4 today, a 56-14, needless to say it's in my bag as my new sand wedge now. I have never hit a more consistent club in my life!!! (edited for grammar)
  14. This REALLY gets me... this is the key ingredient to a blow up game for me, 99% of the time the other is any putt hit too hard and off the green which doesnt happen very often but when it does watch out!
