    Golf at Work

    addicting, 3rd try.
  2. A couple friends and I are doing a North Dakota golf trip this summer(yes you read that right, North Dakota). HawkTree http://www.hawktree.com/ Bully Pulpit http://www.medora.com/attractions/golf/index.html The Links of ND(Red Mike) http://www.thelinksofnorthdakota.com...blic/index.php All of them are rated very well, I think especially Hawktree, and it costs $150 for all three rounds combined which is dirt cheap for great golf. Plus we are doing some camping since Bully Pulpit is in the badlands. Overall just wondering if anyone on the site has hit up any of those courses, or heard much about them?
  3. shot an 80(9 over) today. Swing still feels great scores are consistent but really am craving consistent 70's. However, the 9 over today is bringing me realistically close to getting and maintaining a single digit handicap.
  4. "A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING. SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO AROUND 25 TO 30 MPH LATE THIS MORNING AND THEN CONTINUE INTO THE EVENING. WINDS COULD GUST TO 40 MPH THIS AFTERNOON." Heading to the course now...Northern Minnesota/North Dakota golf at it's finest.
  5. Saturday: First Men's League Tourney at 7AM followed by some friends in town for another 18 at 2pm Sunday: 11am round then off to work Monday: Same as Sunday
  6. 1. 25 2. 10 3. 10
  7. Shot ANOTHER +10 over 18. Do I love the consistency? yes. Am I becoming impatient to start getting into the 70's instead of 80-82 every round? Like you wouldn't believe. My irons and swing feel so good and have been the same all season. I just can't link good putting and driving with it yet. Putting is average and driving is terrible.
  8. My irons had some pretty great shots today(dang driver)... Went into the woods off the tee on a par 5 and played it safe out to about 205 out. Hit a 3-iron and stuck it 4 feet from the cup pin high. Course management + Birdie = Happy Honorable mention: Another par 5 in the woods(surprise) after 2 and hit a strong 2 iron punch draw up onto the green. I haven't had that shot in my bag ever until I worked on it early this season.
  9. Yup, probably one of my more memorable shots as it was my first eagle ever and it was one of the few days I could get my mom out on the course with me. About 70 yards out on a par 5 and hit a full LW and I remembered being excited right when I saw it at it's peak cause I knew it was gonna be an easy putt for birdie. Even better and dropped directly in the hole without touching the green. Group on the next Tee Box gave out a couple funny comments.
  10. Well just started my season(North Dakota will do that to you with blizzards 2 weeks ago). Had a really "boring" round but very solid course management and shot my handicap from last season which was nice to start the new season. ANYWAY... My only shot(s) that were out of the ordinary was on a dogleg left par 5 that I hit a gorgeous 3 wood draw to cut off the corner. Followed that up with a great 3 iron from 215 out 10 feet from the pin.
  11. Score/Handicap: I want to be in the high 70's consistently on my home course. Also would love to get my handicap down to an 8. Technique: Alignment, plain and simple. I feel I have great distance control from my high irons all the way down to the putter. My accuracy is quite good as well since I don't hook or slice, but I have my friends watch where I am aiming and they say 9/10 that is right where the ball ends up, but where I was aiming was definitely not where I wanted to be. Mental game: Stay positive and don't press after a bad shot/hole. Pretty cliche, but I think we have all had terrible holes, what good does it do to put more pressure on yourself for something that is already done? HAVE FUN! (shouldn't be too hard :))
  12. I would go into details but after 90 pages of good debate...I will make my answer short and say Tiger.
  13. http://www.wapicada.com/ Love my homecourse, but some of you are truly lucky by the looks of yours.
  14. I am a part-time student and a bartender. Definitely a good variety of backgrounds, fun to see.
