  1. I'm not really answering your question but you should be able to find Circa 62's for pretty cheap now that the California Series came out. As for the two putters you listed, I'd go for the BC2. I've never been a fan of TM putters.
  2. If you hit a V2 too low, you're likely going to hit a WB way too low. How is your ball flight with the stock BB?
  3. I honestly think that even if Titleist does decide to make a club that adjustable, I have enough confidence in them that they'll make it look good and do a good job. They've always done a good job of making drivers and irons visually look very pleasing. I just hope they make the adjustable hosel look better than the SR8Fit hosel, that thing is huge and terribly ugly.
  4. I'm not totally opposed to it, I play an R9 3 wood and looking down at the hosel doesn't bother me but I've never adjusted (open/close the face) since the day I bought it and I'm sure 95% of the people who own adjustable clubs do either. The idea of adjusting the driver face each day to how your hitting the ball is a bit ridiculous to me, it's a band-aid fix to bigger swing problems. A 15+ handicap isn't going to be able to make the same swing very often so an adjustment could make one swing better and the next worse, and if you can only adjust at most a few clubs in your bag chances are it's gonna cause problems when you get to the non adjustable irons. Now if you want to use the adjustability to get properly fitted thats perfectly ok to me, I think people are putting way too much stock in the adjustability.
  5. I think they look pretty good, I guess the black clubs are the fad going right now. It will be interesting for sure to see if they offer some sort of adjustability like TM and Nike offer. I hope not, though I do like the idea of swapping shafts in and out easily.....but then again that could get mighty expensive quickly. :)
  6. I'm gaming an Oban Devotion right now but have a Fubuki Alpha on the way :)
  7. Heavier weight usually equals a lower ball flight and less spin. The R.I.P. is a very low spin low torque shaft, I haven't hit one yet but I've heard they play pretty stout to flex but are getting rave reviews. What is your reason for wanting a heavier shaft? Too much spin? Need more control?
  8. I agree with all the posts above but one thing I noticed when I added a bigger putter grip is that it made a big difference in the feel of the putter. It really deadened the feel off the face for me but I've gotten used to it now so it's fine.
  9. If you're swinging at 119-121 you need at least an X flex. Look at some shafts that offer lower ball flights and lower spiin to try and get your spin rate down to around 2500-2600. There are lots of variables to try; a heavier shaft usually produces less spin, an stiffer flex will as well, and where the kickpoint is on the shaft makes a huge difference. The stock Diamana is a noodle so at your swing speed it's probably nearly impossible to control. Just for starters I'd look at the whiteboard, oban devotion, proforce V2, prolaunch red or the axivcore green or red. Those shafts should get some of that spin down and get you a more desired trajectory. Plus going to an X flex will give you more control.
  10. It's noticeable, if you hate it you can have a 1" extension put in the butt of the shaft to make it 35". BTW - for $100 that's a pretty good putter. I used one for about a year when I was trying to transition between a two ball back to a blade. I'd describe the feel is a bit more "pingy" and "hollow" than a regular blade style Scotty but all in all for $100 you can't go wrong.
  11. Sweet looking club for sure. Supposed to be much lower launch and lower spin than their other offerings, I'm hoping to hit one sometime this week against my current set up. I hope I don't hit it any better because I really don't want to spend the $600.
  12. Another vote for the Clicgear 2.0 or 3.0. Good way to walk 18 or 36!
  13. I tend to pick my head up a little too quickly when I putt and watch the ball instead of keeping my head down long enough to get the ball started on the correct line. When I can force myself to keep my head down long enough all my putts start on line and are hit much more solid. Anyone have any good tips/drills or training aids to help accomplish this?
  14. the 905R is a much more highly regarded driver than the 907 series. In fact most Titleist tour pros played the 905R until the 909 series came out because of the high spin rate the 907D2 drivers put out. I actually really liked my 907, so I'm in the minority there.
  15. You may be able to find one if you wait long enough. I paid $400 for mine new but I think I just lucked out.
  16. I get more pissed that they want me to send my putter back for 30 days to get the red cord grip changed. Then, once you do send it back they have a minimum thats way more than just getting the stock grip re-changed. I already spent like $200 getting my putter changed with paintfill, weighting and my initials engraved so one year later when my grip needs to get changed they want me to basically shell out $40 or whatever the minimum is to get the stock grip put back on there. I love my Scotty putter but it's just frustrating. I just bought a grip that's supposedly not a pull off ebay so hopefully it will work out.
  17. I wanted them until I hit them. For some reason they felt a little dead to me and when i hit them next to the AP2 it wasn't even close. I had the 690.MB's like you have and feel of those is better than the ZB.
  18. I'm not sure you'll like that SQ tour any more than your 907D2. I like buying new golf stuff as much as anyone but I won't get any new equipment unless I'm sure it's what I want to buy and I'm sure it will be better than what I currently have. I wouldn't sell off your D2 before you know you hit the Nike better.
  19. I have the same problem here, I'll usually find an online club fitter that sells premium shafts and email or call them when I need info. Good luck with your driver search.
  20. I doubt it, just a guess but I'd think it was due to the fact that Diamanas have been out for a long time and they wanted to put shafts in there that are "hot" and "new"
  21. The "stiff" there is only referring to the tip stiffness of that particular shaft. So don't get confused there and order the wrong thing. The 7.0 8A3 I had only said "stiff" on it and it was the stiffest shaft I've ever hit. I think in theory the 5.5/6.0/6.5 rating are supposed to matcy their iron profiles. BTW - I'm not a fitting expert but I'm pretty sure a 9.6-9.9 launch angle is low. You may want to try that driver in a higher loft so you can optimize distance. If I were you I'd try and call Project X and see if you can get some help there or just maybe call an club fitting place that sells the Project X Graphite and see if you can pick their brain.
  22. i agree their website is terrible. I don't know which version comes in the VR tour but generally they are pretty low torque with a high kickpoint and a low launch. Titleist shows the 7B2 at a 3.0 torque rating. I don't have any other exact numbers but it's maybe one of the lowest spinning shafts out there. I bought a Nike 3 wood with the 8A3 shaft in 7.0 flex and it was very stiff and my SS is 115ish on average. I had to go really hard at it to get the ball to turn over, I sold the 3 wood because swinging really hard at a 3 wood does me no good and I need to keep that thing as straight as possible. I would expect that you are right on the borderline of 6.0/6.5 and it would depend on how you want the shaft to feel. If you like to feel the shaft kick a little bit go with 6.0 and if you like a stiffer feeling shaft go with 6.5. I think 5.5 would be R flex, 6.0 is S and 6.5 would be X. I would like to know how it performs in the driver in a lighter weight because I think it would actually be a good shaft for me if I could find the right weight and stiffness.
  23. I never hit it well from day 1. On full swings instead of going farther it would just go higher and spin more. I have no idea why it was like that (maybe the tungston in the sole?) but swapping in the 710 MB has made a huge difference.
  24. As of right now they don't offer the 200 series anymore direct from Titleist. Only the spin milled version, I wanted to replace my AP2 PW with a Vokey and couldn't find a 200 series anywhere and everywhere told me they didn't offer the 200 series anymore. I ended up buying a 710 MB PW, which I love so much I might end up buying 6-9. I don't want why they stopped making the 200 series, they were really nice.
  25. I'm thinking of adding Titleist 710 MB's 6-9 and keeping my AP2 3-5 this year. Not sure if I'll end up doing it ($$$$$$) or not but I already bought the MB PW and absolutely love it and find myself giving myself any reason possible to hit the PW I can now.
