  1. You just sold me on one of these Pelz tutors. I have a short 8' big moss green that I work with almost every day and I think adding the Pelz tutor will help me with my miss (push), my green reading and speed are usually good I just tend to start the ball offline from a push too often for my liking. Hopefully it will help.
  2. I recently just changed to 15 degree from 13. I gave up a very significant & noticeable amount of distance off the tee but I have much better control off the deck. I'm not totally sold on the 15 just by the lost distance and I might find a 13 degree head I can hit off the ground better than my old 13 degree.
  3. I've only had experience with the Big Moss green, it's decent and I can't really complain about it. It doesn't bunch and get lines like the cheaper types of putting greens. I use it every day and I've seen improvement in my putting so I guess it's getting the job done.
  4. I've hit both the 909D3 & the S9-1 Pro D, similar in ball flight but for me thats about where the similarities end. The Pro-D face is much deeper and it's got those Cobra dimples on the top and while it doesn't have the awful Cobra sound of their past drivers the sound off the face just isn't nearly as good as the 909. I think launch and spin characteristics are very close to the same so you're best off just getting which one you like the looks feel and sound of best.
  5. What do you want to know? The tour version has slightly different specs than the retail version. Take a look at the retail verison specs on the 6060 on the UST website and then look at the specs on the 2nd picture of that ebay auction to see the differences. Hardly any difference at all. I had the Tour 86 gram in my driver and liked it but it was just a bit too heavy for my liking.
  6. I had the 690.MB's a few years back. Great clubs, I would think they are very similar to the new 710's, definitely look almost the same. I sold my 690.MB's and totally regret doing so now looking back on it. Great clubs that I'd love to throw back in the bag when I'm swinging well.
  7. I have a Big Moss green i bought off ebay. It's decent enough and much better than the crappy ones you normally see. I try and hit about 15-20 putts a day on it and it seems to help. You can actually add or remove break on it which is nice because hitting dead flat 10' putts isn't all that helpful imo.
  8. I need to see if I can dig up a 35" SC from a friend and putt around with it to see if it makes a difference. And I'm gonna take a putting lesson and see what my pro says. Funny thing is, I bought a 34" putter because it felt better at address than my 35". Now after a couple years playing a 34", a 35" putter feels better in my hands. Go figure....
  9. I'm currently gaming a 34" SC Studio Select and have gone through a bit of a dry putting spell over the past few months. I almost hardly ever pull putts, Everything always seems to start just a little right of my intended line. Natually I'll blame the putter but I picked up my old Two Ball thats 35" and putts really seem to start more on line. Would a putter thats too short cause pushed putts? Or could it simply be I putt better with a mallet putter? I don't really want to go through the expense of getting my putter reshafted to 35" if it's not necessary or not going to help.
  10. The TP has the real Motore shaft standard and you can upgrade to the real Fubuki, Xcon, Voodoo shafts for no upcharge from TM. I think the adjustability is a little different for the TP versions as well. I think you can open theface up more than the standard version. Head wise, they are exactly the same.
  11. I've had mine since February and loved it. Switched from a V2 to the Oban and it's given better launch conditions.
  12. I just recently picked up an R9 TP 3W and really like it. It hit it well off the ground and off the tee, I've gone through 4 3W's in the last year trying to find something I liked and it looks like the R9 is the winner.
  13. I have the black with white stripes and they are my favorite shoes I've owned. Very comfortable.
  14. I have it in my 3wood, the trajectory is a little high for my liking but the feel is great.
  15. Seems like a good idea in theory, the face of these things looks awful though. Plus I'm sure new wedge faces will cost almost as much as a new wedge from another manufacturer and the wedge will probably be more expensive as well.
  16. I like mine as well. They have a higher ball flight but I've been really happy with mine.
  17. That sucks, do you at least get to recoup some of that money you spent from the installer?
  18. I'm thinking of picking one up mostly because of looks but was wondering if anyone had one. Likes/Dislikes? Looks like they have some nice features along with really nice color schemes. I've got an Ogio travel cover that I've been real happy with as far as quality so I wanted to give their bags a look. Please reply if you'd have any experience with this bag.
  19. It really depends, I put PX in my wedges last year and I didn't notice any difference in ball flight. I hit the ball really high normally and the PX certainly don't help with that but they don't flight any higher than the standard Wedge Flex Dynamic Golds did. The biggest difference I noticed was just in the feel and stiffness of the shafts, the standard shafts felt like a rubber band (and looked like one in a swing video) where the PX felt much stiffer and more consistent through impact. I think for my next wedges, I'm gonna either go to dynamic golds in X flex or PX in 6.5 stiffness to try and knock the ball flight down more. As for your second question, I'd get the actual loft checked on your 52 as well as your PW. There shouldn't be that big of a gap in yardage. 1 degree is roughly 3-5 yards of distance. Once you get the lofts checked and if they are correct you may want to check ball position assuming your basically making the same lenth swing with both clubs. I have trouble swinging wedges full because they just go higher and have more spin so anytime I'm inside 130 yards, I'll shorten my backswing and follow through to knock some height and spin off the shots. They actually end up going the same distance.
  20. The hole is a dogleg right about 370 yards, there is water that comes into play about 270 out to the right but is basically blind from the tee due to a grove of trees in between the tee and the pond. I playing competitor hits his ball right off the tee, no one hears and banging around in the trees or a splash in the lake. Myself and the 3rd member of our group saw the ball going right but never saw it down and our playing competitor never saw it down either. We walked around that area both in the woods and down by the lake and never found his ball. He prompted dropped a ball two club lengths from where he though the ball would have entered the water hazard. My question is, can you assume that? Sure there are a lot of different variables in play here but no one saw the ball go into the water hazard so is that considered a lost ball and he would have to go back to the tee?
  21. Strange, I played in rain a few weeks back and didn't notice any rust on my project X shafts after, I got some minor rust on the groves wear they are worn down a little bit though.
  22. It depends on what you want to do. Diamana Red is a high launch high spin shaft designed to get the ball up in the air for a player who has trouble launching it high so they can get optimal launch conditions. Switching to a 73 or 83 gram might not do anything if a 63 gram shaft is ideal for you. When a player switches to a heavier shaft it's usually to improve accuracy or lower spin. I would go to an experienced club fitter and explain what you want and they'll get you a solution to get there. I'd also recommend trying either the Diamana Blue or Diamana White if you are trying to lower ball flight and spin. They are much lower launching shafts (Blue - Low/Mid trjactory, White - Low).
  23. I would try calling the factory and seeing if they can help you out. That shouldn't happen.
  24. I need all the help I can get putting. I just bought a button back Newport (with no sight line) and sent it to the custom shop to get a flange sight line and a sight dot added to it. I'm lost without a sight line, I've never had a putter that didn't have one.
  25. I need a really low launching low spin shaft so the AXIV Tour Black is basically at the opposite end of the spectrum for me. So me hitting it too high doesn't mean anything. If your fitter saw you hit it and recommended it I'm sure you'll be fine. The Tour Green is the lowest launching lowest spin out of all the offerings. A few guys on tour are using it now, I think it's supposed to come out this fall. It'll be their equivalent to the whiteboard or rombax z series.
