Day 322: did the yardstick putting drill for a while. Gotta feel like I’m pulling the putt to keep it online. But good work at it.

Day 320: worked on putting with the yardstick drill for a while. Checked set up in the mirror as well, and it was pretty solid.

Day 317: light day after 72 holes in 5 days. Just did some mirror work, working on feels for getting chest and hips more open.

Knocked off 2 and 3 over the weekend. Down to 3 holes left!

Day 316: played an 18 hole tournament. Putted my ass off for a +4. Tied for first net, third gross. Pretty happy overall, but ball striking needs work.

Day 315: played 18. Another +10, but won the match. Need to loosen up the back and get through irons better, but good otherwise.

Day 314: played 18. Shot +10. Drove the ball well, but was coming up short on every approach. Back needs some work.

Knocked off 3 holes in the last 2 days - 1, 6, and 8. I also had good chances with putts of about 10' on 2 and 3 for birdie that I didn't make, but them's the breaks. Down to 5 holes left: 2, 3, 10, 14, and 17. About a month ahead of where I was last year, and I have a lot of golf left this year.

Day 313: played 9. Shot even, and birdied the last 2 to do it. Very happy, given my back is a little sore from something.

It's at 16 degrees. I've considered going to 17 degrees, but haven't pulled that trigger yet. Plus, I already hit my 3 wood really high off the tee. The other alternative is to work on speed with the Stack...

I have the loft on my 3 wood jacked up, which I think really helps when I'm playing it off the deck. I used to play a 5 wood, and that club was great off the deck as well. The higher loft definitely helps off the deck. There are many ways you could go with this, too. If you are just looking for something to fill a gap that you could reliably hit of the deck, there are lots of options beyond a 3 wood, too. I've played around with a utility wood that Callaway has, for example. It has a loft as low as 17 degrees. There are lots of hybrid options like that. Probably wouldn't give you the distance of a 3 wood, but you could get close.
