I've been using an odyssey white steel blade putter for a while and i loved the feel. I used a family members older nike mallet putter. Oh my goodness. I love the weight with the mallet allowing me to not swing as hard and gauge my strength so much better. I played 18 holes with it and only 3-putted once. I'm gonna try out some odyessy mallets and see how i like them.
I've done quite a bit of browsing and i almost got a set of cobra s9's for 500 but they sold out before i could buy them. I Actually think my lie may be a little bit off but i think shortening the clubs may fix that problem. I'm only 5'8" but im still not sure becuase my dad has stock big berthas and they are fine for him and hes the same height as me.
Well new grips may not be so bad. But thanks a ton. Depending on the price it might be cheaper to buy new clubs. I know golfsmith and budget golf around here does fittings for free if you buy their clubs.
Would a place like golfsmith do this and what is the dollar range im looking at, and yes the clubs maybe slightly long for me. I'm not 100%. They do feel great but they just seem a little too long. I'm heading up to golfsmith this saturday and i know they haven't been fitted becuase he liked them stock so im going to try them there and see what they have to say about it.
I bought a nike extreme sport bag from mc sports becuase it was only 60 bucks on sale. I love it already. The shoulder straps are furry and they feel amazing when i walk and it fits nicely in a cart.
Alright well i think I'm going to purchase a set of g10's 3 months old from a family member for $500. The only reason I want to is the price, and I've been playing with them and love them. Anyway, if the shaft is too long would i have to buy another shaft or would i be able to get some place to "shorten" it.
Yeah i use these neon green tee's i buy at McSports for like 5 dollars. I'm going to be ordering something off of rockbottomgolf and im going to try out the zero friction tee.
I was playing yesterday with pinnacles and NXT tours. I used about 4 pinnacles on the front due to lost balls. Used 1 NXT tour on the back and i dropped 4 strokes(it was a 9 hole course we played 18 on). NXT Tour is going to be my new ball as well.
I'm an intermediate golfer myself and i dont see why to go for "cheap clubs." Save up and get some nice ones. I play about 3 or 4 times a week and I'm not very good but im probably going to buy a set of Ping's or Taylormade or Cobra Irons, just becuase after that. I can keep those for quite some time before they need to be replaced.
Thats just me though, but rock bottom golf does have some great deals.
