I don't feel like the first shot or hole sets the tone for the rest of my round. Outcomes for me are dependent on my attitude throughout the round. And keeping my mind of my swing mechanics. And bs'ing on thesandtrap.com forums. Haha

At a SCGA midam qualifier today. Feeling good. Practice round went well the other day, so I expect to play the course well today. Mild nerves, but it always peaks at that first drive and starts to settle about fairway 2.

Nah. Turning pro in a couple months, so I won't be eligible as I understand.

On a pertinent tangent, people are more sensitive when it comes to things that can hurt them vs. what can benefit them. This might be a case that confirms this about most people.

I'm against it. An automated system would make the game more equitable, but the home plate umpire is another factor, point of strategy, that played into the game. I was a pitcher/ hitter (no DH for me) and learning about the hp umpire was a way to gain an advantage. It played into how aggressive I went after corners and edges of the strike zone. As a hitter, same with how it played into aggressiveness at the plate. They are the extra man on the field, who could make or break a game, and I liked that part of it, even though he wasn't always my advantage. That's just how I feel. I wouldn't be too upset if it did change though. Absolute fairness is boring by the way.

Squeaked under 80 today, with a 79 on a 71 rating, 6401 yd tees. This was a below average day for me. I have been putting in significant time into my short game and it has shown little improvement. It did not serve me well today. Drives were pretty good all day for me, for the most part, and putting was above average. Looking for that short game expertise that I use to have. Has anyone seen it?

So....I have three payment methods available to me right now on Paypal: Paypal credit, my credit card (MC), and my savings. I'm waiting to verify checking acct (little problems for some reason). However, after trying all these methods, I keep getting prompted that the recipient does not accept payment by these means. Help?

Has RSG made any statements about why they felt was the reason for this change in membership and policy for women?

I think there is an underlying reason they do feel that they were wrong before. When the rule was made (speculation), it was made with a mindset that women were inferior. It wasn't made with a harmless premise, ie. "it's just a boys club." I think this is what they realized. Perhaps its a means of washing the sins away.

Point taken. Freedom of association is important. I agree. However, I can see why a very private establishment with a very public reputation would follow the logic I had put forth. Curves, doesn't have the public pressures to make those kinds of changes. It's hardly a reputation a private enterprise wants to hold on to, that they be perceived as being only available to wealthy privileged men. There are plenty of double standards that are currently held as normative. This is one of them.

It's not punishment. The club and men in it, including those on the waiting list have benefited from discriminatory practices that our society finds wrong. Consider those that have been previously excluded. Reparations must be paid. Those that have been on the receiving end of injustice must be made whole. What do you think is a better way of doing that?

Rough day. I didn't score, played with a couple this morning, without warm up or anything. Shot multiple balls from each location. Lost my swing a bit. Kind of discouraged. Going to take tomorrow off from golf to get my get head right. Wish this game came easier to me sometimes.

Am I suppose to select " I'm sending money to family or friends" or "I'm paying for goods or services"? I don't want to incur unnecessary fees by selecting one, or a legal problem selecting the other.

Played Ram's Hill Golf Club last weekend. This place apparently was closed for a while and has just come back online. This place was amazing. For anyone that's willing to make the trip to Borrego Springs, you need to go and play this course. I'm pretty sure @tristanhilton85 should have posted photos and made a post about this place. maybe he'll respond with a link to them...*wink*wink* @tristanhilton85

Played the front twice at Terra Lago from the back tees and shot a frustrating 83. 40-43. I should have just stayed at the range. I experimented with a swing change that involved my shoulders. Worked fine on the range, but fell apart once course tested. The change was meant to get a specific trajectory, a higher one with some spin, for my woods, but it crept into my full swing for all my clubs and ended up causing me to have a tendency to pull draw my balls. Will be at the range tomorrow working that back out.

I golf at a remade course, The Golf Club at Terra Lago, which was renamed a while back from Landmark Golf Club, home of the Skins Game in 1999-2001. So, talk about the revivals or remakes you've played or are located around and give your opinion on whether they maintained their value, improved or degraded.

It was definitely a good test of skill, when comes to playing the elements, keeping my trajectory low, and controlling my swing speed. Swinging hard in the wind is bad.
