  1. I have a G10 and I must say that when I'm swinging good, it's an amazing club. The times that I'm swinging good are few and far between, though.
  2. In regards to this, I think it's important to understand that he probably has a lot of other stuff going on right now. School is tough enough as it, social life included. He may just want to take a relaxed approach to golf. If he's not pursuing a professional career, then I don't know if he's "wasting" his time not practicing. I don't know the circumstances, but I'd say that your son probably has a lot on his plate right now, especially with college looming.
  3. I also like the potential to really open up the Japanese market for the PGA. Based on the interview today, Japan really likes this kid. His possible success could potentially open up some doors in the future for the PGA.
  4. Yeah, the piece about him today on Golf Central piqued my interest. It will be interesting to see how he makes out. I like the looks of his swing.
  5. That's funny because someone I know who played with him in a pro-am thought he was just a genuinely good guy. I'm not going to make excuses for the guy, I just thought that was odd. On the other hand, another person I know played with Rocco Mediate in a pro-am and apparently Rocco is a pretty arrogant guy himself. I learned this right after the U.S. Open and am happy that I rooted for Tiger.
  6. I think that a point that is being missed is that Golf Digest also included a wonderful article on golf course design and architecture. Regardless of what you think of the Timberlake article (which I personally enjoyed), Golf Digest made a concerted effort to cover a serious, in-depth topic which all serious golf fans can enjoy. Timberlake being on the cover is a good way to sell magazines. However, his interview only ran say... 8 pages? Max? My point is that Golf Digest made a serious golf magazine with in-depth information first and foremost. The Timberlake article was an enjoyable read which appeals to many golf fans as well. It is impossible not to recognize what he is doing for golf. As many others have stated, he's in it for the game and the kids, not for his own personal benefit.
  7. I'm sorry Bourbon and Coke, but I'd rather play with someone in cut-offs and jeans than a person who would feel compelled to throw their clubs in a lake. That type of person would not be very fun to play with, I believe. Personally, I dress in khakis and a golf shirt because I believe it looks sharp, and for me, it's comfortable.
  8. While watching the PGA this last weekend, I realized that it is impossible for me to root for Sergio because of his antics in the past(spitting in the cup, whining, etc.) I recognize his great talent and the fact that his attitude has changed, but still I tend to root for his opponent. I believe he will win a major at some point, but I don't believe I will be rooting for him then, either.
  9. Boondock Saints. It's a great movie that I would recommend to all.
  10. I'm on my way now to tee it up at 5 A.M., my weekly time on a Sunday morning. Couldn't ask for a better time in my opinion.
  11. I don't think that the argument is that Tiger IS golf, but rather he makes it exciting with his constant strokes of brilliance. He's amazing to watch, and arguably the best player ever. I think that warrants people caring that he is out.
  12. It's in a video on Youtube titled, "Tiger Woods and some of his great golf shots pgatour" Just in case you were looking for it.
  13. Haha, I don't blame you. From personal experience, however, tucking my shirt in does not bother me. I hardly notice it.
  14. Oh, tucking your shirt isn't bad. Just puff out the sides a little bit. It looks sharp too.
  15. That reminds me of a story about Ted Williams. Ted had recently returned from the war and had stepped in for batting practice, when he announced that the distance was off. Sure enough, they measured the distance from plate to rubber and it was a few inches off regulation. It's amazing how precise the pro's can be.
