  1. Thought i could do it without pro help. Today i played 9. Par, Boogie, Par, Boogie, 3 putt for double boogie, double, par, double, par. I cant drive the ball to save my life lately. My 21* saves me on every hole. I hit that a solid and straight 200. Putting has gotten better thanks to practice but i'll still miss what should be easy par putts. So i just invested in 4 45 minute professional lessons. The cost, $275. Not sure when im starting (hoping for as soon as tomorrow). I'll try to post my impressions of these lessons. Better golf, here i come. HOPEFULLY!

    First 80s day

I had a similar experience yesterday (also wet). Par'd the first first 3. Ended up +6 (41) on 9 holes with only 13 putts. I thank the new putter. I started playing with a blade type putter years ago. Won a mallet type (Odyssey White Hot) at a raffle and used that last year (when i got back into the game). Bought the new Ping and almost eliminated all but two 3 putts.
  4. Friday evening is best for me. Its the one night off where i dont see the women till late in the evening. Twilight golf for real. Tiger here. I just played online with some people from another forum. I won. Game ran flawlessly. I cant putt for shit. I dont know how to know how much power i should use.
  5. http://wii.ign.com/articles/994/994052p1.html Pretty cool
  6. Anyone want to play online right about now?
  7. DRIVER! Today i shot +6 (9 holes) with only 13 putts. That is good for me. But one in 7 drives landed in the fairway. And its odd for me to hit more than 220, and that is if its straight. I hate it, hate it, hate it. But i refuse to abandon it like ive heard so many others do.
  8. You should post in the Tiger Wii thread http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23079 Come tomorrow i'll be looking for people to play online with. Not to mention my thread was made a good month before this one.
  9. I try to make it to the practice green 3 or 4 times a week. For a half hour at a time. I play once a week, sometimes twice. Thats it.
  10. 99 Volvo S80 with just under 80 thousand miles. Crazy right?
  11. Review: You will not find a better game of golf on any system, period. "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for Wii is the definitive golf game. It's filled to the top with content, sports spectacular controls enhanced by MotionPlus, and includes great Disc Golf and online modes. Seriously, this is an amazing package made all the better by the peripheral pack- in. Just as impressive, though, is that this year's effort is so intuitively enjoyable that it has, in my experience, transcended the golf category altogether to become one of those rare Wii games that I will confidently recommend to anybody. Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Boom Blox and now Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 -- these are all games that are spectacular because of the very technology that makes Wii great. Like Wii Sports, Woods 10 could not be made as well for any other system. Get out there and support this excellent sequel -- a standout effort that will surely be in competition for sports game of the year." 12. I just applied labels to my clubs. I misplaced my PW last month. Thankfully i got it back but it took some time. Should have done this last year when i bought the set.
  13. Can i carry two bags? I walk and carry my own bag, but its a stand bag. Im sure i can do one bag and putters. Not so sure about two. Working as a caddy and being able to play free golf is how i got into the game all those years ago. That course is still here but nobody ever plays it. I walk my dog right next to it. Beautiful saturday morning and nobody will be around. Its crazy. But the course those guys work at (Manhattan Woods) still has members. Im going to try and get down there one day this week.
  14. Thanks. To the first few posters im talking about local courses. Not on tour. And just for some extra cash. I work nights and dont go back to school till late September.
  15. Nice just ordered 2 AAAA dozen Hot Bites for the price of 12 new ones.
  16. $57 shipped and they didnt charge me tax. So i saved $3 and change. Tuff times.
  17. I think the number one thing i enjoy is being out there. Golf courses are so beutiful. And the only real thing to worry about is your game. No bills, no girlfriend.
  18. I played with three fulltime caddies today. Cool guys. We talked about the job but i never asked how to approach the job. When i was 17-18 i caddied at the local private course. I know what to do, and how to do it. Anyone caddy for extra cash? Edit. And is it too late to start? In the season im talking about.
  19. Game out today/tomorrow. I ordered mine off newegg (cheap), so have to wait till later this week :(

  22. Good news for good golfers
  23. Koehls or Sears
  24. A lot of people in the Jets "camp" are calling Jim Leonard a pick in the draft. Former DB for the Ravens. I heard Mike Pettine (New DC of the Jets) call Gholston a pick in this years draft in his opinion. He is high on what Ghoston could bring. And that he is working extra hard to get to where he can contribute. Pettine said he reminds him of Terrell Suggs. Its great that the Jets found 3 players in free agency that help the team transition into the "ravens". Leonard in the back field. Bart Scott at LB. And Marques Douglas on the line. Going to be a fun year. And yay for Franchez!
