Younger days Tiger used to gamble on those shots and paid off. Today he lost at least a stroke or even two for trying to go over trees. Not a very good decision.
Wow. Tiger played horribly. Just looking at his game today it's very very hard to see him as #1 player. Adam looked superb for his mid irons and putting
$60 so far. Even that's a lot of doh for a round for me. My game is not up to the point where I can enjoy the goodness of course at the same time play decent golf. Maybe if I raise my game up in the future I may try out some nice courses. For now I stick with "all you can play" course or muni.
Initially I thought I hit better at range (selective memories) but then I actually counted how many I hit solidly to reasonable targets. The result is more of the same at the course as at the range. Enough shank, hook, slices with some decent shots. I mostly use range session to boost confidence slightly and refresh memories.
I started playing golf this year. I thought I was progressing well since I broke century mark a couple times. Then past weekend I shot +30.... in 9 holes.
Posted 9 in one of par 3 after losing 3 balls and 11 in one of par 5 after losing another 2 balls along with 4 putts. It's humbling. Back home I had to tell wife I enjoyed the game thoroughly for next opportunity to go out.
