  1. Being a higher handicapper, game improvement clubs are something that's nice to have, as well as hybrids and other clubs that give good forgiveness. This year is where i have been basically doing my spending to new clubs, to fill gaps in my bag like my new wedge and also i bought a driver and last year i got a new putter. They all have favoured my game and put it in the right direction, but im still using my irons that i've had from day 1. It's a matter of confidence with your clubs to a certain degree, but 7 year old irons my be getting a little over used i'd say. Look for a nice cheap set i'd say in the future, just make sure you feel comfortable with what you have or are getting, don't make rational decisions and blow money on it. Golf equipment can get expensive and fast!
  2. May be a bad case of over thinking, i had it with my driver... ugh that was awful but i've gotten my driver fixed right up and swing is going full bore!
  3. Anyone here from Manitoba besides me and Dent?? Wondering if theres any fellow sandtrappers near by.

    Hockey Players?

Any hockey players out there? Yes im Canadian typical i play the game since i was 6 lol! But i did start with soccer at teh age of 4, were not all stereotyped
  5. I am! Lol me and Dent play togetehr every week, been solid friends for a long good time aobut what nine year olds was it Dent that we met?? Anyways it was through hockey and we've been golfing together for good three years! I'd like to golf with some of you to bad your so far away!
  6. Overall great looking swing, just i noticed on the first vid that you were done twisting and your club was still coming downwards, which can play a factor with distances. Otherwise great flow i say.
  7. Make sure your thumb is on the top of the grip this could be a problem for that.
  8. What i find funny is how the majority of the celebrities at all your courses are football players lol, isn't it supposed to be hockey players such as myself who golf in the off season??? That's at least the huge superstition in the world.
  9. LOL wow thats awsome, your kid has a good grasp on the good life that's for certain! Don't let him give up on it
  10. It's something that takes a bit of time and practice, i have just put it into my swing well this year and using the bigger muscles helps your distance and takes much less energy and stress on your body.
  11. ok wait that doesn't make sence, pins at the back and u land 3 feet behind the hole and u spin back two feet on a 30 foot long green??? hows that work
  12. I wanted Appleby to take it, he seemed like he had it together in the final round.
  13. Almost a guarentee he would rank high up there.
  14. Confidence is a huge turning point with over thinking. If you can just start being confident with yourself and your clubs then the over thinking is nowhere to be found. Now for getting confidence my best advice is teh range, where you can change things up and or practice your swing till you feel so good with it that once u hit the course next the over thinking isn't there. A deep breathe before you pull back for your swing is something that also works great. It's helped me greatly on the tee box!
  15. Ya it's really cool to see, but i have to say my favourite is the one with tiger and his caddy and tiger drains this nice putt and his caddy says "YES!!" all excited and drops tigers bag in the water and a aligator is swimming right around it, then it goes to tiger on the next hole hitting his putter off the tee. It was priceless.
  16. Are you using some wrist in your swing with your wedge, that would make a big difference.
  17. Hularious movie i love watching it! But besides forrest gump... Step Brothers is my favourite for sure i've never laughed so hard consistantly ever.
  18. I watched all of the third and final round play, and this is coming from one who usually doesn't watch golf on t.v a whole lot, but i have to say phil mickelson choked under pressure badly at the end on the final round bogeying 3 of the last 4 holes! Not to mention poor driving from him it was almost surprising to see him be the leader. As well with Vejay (probably spelt that wrong lol) he couldn't putt to save his life missing numberous putts that were under 6 feet of length. It was very strange to see but me not being a fan of belly putters i found it almost enjoyable to see him miss them lol. Any thoughts to why or how these players had these troubles throughout the rounds? I just couldn't believe they were leading the tourney considering the number of poor shots they had each.
  19. If you think it'll help you i'd say go for it, i just bought a 54* wedge and it works perfect for me i can sit the ball so fast and the spin i get is amazing.
  20. Well if it was your brother who dented them, you could use the broken driver as a beating stick on him, or we could be more civil and just get a new driver and leave the old one alone. That sucks though, i got my driver (R7 Taylormade TP) on ebay brand new, and it came with extra weights and the tool and i won it for $200 the store is called thegolfhabit all one word. They sell strickly taylormade but great finishing prices of course there all bidding but ya mine was $170 before shipping and tax.
  21. Motorola W835 with Telus.
  22. Always use a tee on par 3's, it's not against the rules so i don't see why not right. I usually just use a broken tee thats on a tee box as well.
  23. They really shatter on you??? I don't find that possible for myself when i use them, all they do is bend on me but there still usalbe if bent back a bit. I have to say Zero friction tees are a great way to go, major thumbs down for brush tees there awful. Can't even hit a ball off them.
  24. lol ok well that was something else... Here's to Canabilism!! Anyone??
  25. I always have a good time on the course by the end of the day, of course no booze for me on teh course yet (under age) but in two years, though i don't think i'd bother with it while playing it would through me off my usual game i believe.
