So it looks like March will definitely be the date. We need some more members to join in to see which day is good. Right now, I would say the weekends of March 15 and March 22 is the best. My schedule is pretty wide open for both so I can do either or. Also, I think we can keep the venue at Poppy Ridge. I think it was mostly he didn't want Wilson to be playing two sports. It was either football or nothing.

I think the Sensei and Phx look good when wearing shorts. For the other styles, I do agree about the pants.

I think we should start putting some dates out there in February or March where we know everyone is available. For me, the only weekend I know that would work is March 15/16.

It's a longshot but you can try this. I asked a local golf shop that has five hitting stalls equipped with Foresight GC2s if I can bring in my clubs and use the launch monitor to get my average distances. Some are familiar with me since I do buy a good amount of my equipment and accessories from them. They did say it was okay (a little hesitant) but only during slow periods, which is on the weekdays around midday. I have yet to take them up on that offer because I'm not usually free around that time, but I still want to go back if I do have a day off to do that.

No issues. They have a 24-hour cancellation policy so everything's good. I also signed up for the SF City Championship Match Play tourney so I'm not quite sure which weekend days I'll be scheduled to play starting in mid-February. Of course, if I get eliminated early, then I'll be available all March.

It was a very chippy game, but Carolina really carried that chippy-ness into the second half and their defense pretty much kept the ball away from Cam Newton. You can see plenty of the defense still yapping after making a play, getting a tackle, interrupting a pass play, etc, but the Niners, for the most part in the second half, stayed focused. That penalty against Skuta for sacking Newton was a bogus call and it brings in shades of the Ahmad Brooks-Drew Brees sack. Fortunately, it didn't affect the outcome of the game. No doubt, Seattle will try to throw the Niners out of their game by doing a lot of that on-field banter. I think the pregame skirmish between Jimmy Graham and the Seahawks really put Graham off his game since he didn't have much going on for him on Saturday. Either way, this game has been anticipated for over a year now and even in preseason. Should be a good one. Go Niners!

That play doesn't happen often enough for players to remember. The same thing happened a few years ago with Nick Foles at Arizona, but that's the first and only time I've seen it until yesterday.

Sorry I'm late. I'll do the booking for just a foursome for 9:00am at Poppy Ridge. Update: So we have a foursome booked for the Zinfandel/Merlot course at 9:00am.

Okay so we're just over a week away from our outing. I checked Poppy Ridge and we can now book a 7+ day advance booking for $90 with cart, but it would have to be booked by tomorrow. So far, the day is still wide open for tee times. I'm thinking a morning tee time between 8:00 and 9:00. I also want to confirm the members who will be going. @bplewis24 @mchepp @flopster @RonTheSavage @Rock26 I'm still hoping for two more people to join in.

I used Tamiya Acrylic paint for my clubs. Put a little thinner in there because it seeps into the grooves better and also gives it a glossier finish. Also, instead of using acetone, you can also use paint stripper. I used the Citristrip I got from Home Depot since it wasn't heavy on the fumes and didn't melt the ferrules. You do have to let it sit for a couple of hours, but it does work.

I've only played Wente once and agree that it should be on the list of courses to hold outings. The weekend rate is pretty high, though. So far, we're still at six guys. If you have any buddies that wish to join, by all means, we're very much open to that. We need to get everything finalized by the end of this week.

I actually didn't hear about that until early this morning on the commute to work. Once the kick was made and through, I turned it off quickly to attend to fatherly duties.
