Hi which shaft did u put in? I've got apex 4s in my set and they just feel very soft, also ball flight is very high, through I'm not quite sure if its the shaft cos also had a set of ftx apex 4 a swells they gave a very low flight too low.

The Faldo, Norman Price era was just about over when Tiger came along, Ernie was really the only one up to that level at that time with a couple of Majors. Once Mickelson got his mind in the right place and got fit he was well able to beat Tiger. That's 2 players maybe Goosen and Harrington could also be considered Tigers main opposition. This year's Augusta will be a big one

I definitely think worth waiting for Phils McDaddy , if ur a Callaway Fan. I use a Hogan reveria lob wedge which I think was made by Callaway its not the softest but it sits very well behind the ball and also improved me alot from bunkers

Agree 2 inches should effect ball striking consistancy too much just a bit of fanatic. -

Will try and c if I can put a video up, put a few drivers on video today, with the driver head comes back to position at address very happy about that I'm using an app called uart quite good. Feet drill is another Faldo one, but in my opinion a risky drill, u really want to driving the hips through , which this drill can really limit. 2 inches in much one scratch golfer says he has sometimes the same issue he fixes it by trying to see the contact at impact, it just makes u stay down on it a bit better -

Thank u so much, really appreciate that. My head moves about 2 inches forward through impact, anybody got an idea what drill to use to stop it?? Thank so much mvmac -

Disagree, He had huge amount of hip slide !! But in the 5 lessons book he wrote about turning from the top . He did the alot of the sliding with his hips just before his hips squared up to the the target, otherwise he would have pulled too much from the inside. Like the redlines please what program do u use to do that? Also could u do a line at the center of his chest at address and impact, did Hogan move his head forward a t impact, to me it looks like he did slightly especially with irons? -
I do the same, I'm really trying to limit the head movent that is aim this winter. Ive pretty much quitened it in the back swing, i use an old flag stick spiked into the ground at about 45 deg place the ball so the top of the flag is about an inch from my ear and hit balls. My plan is to get another one for the other side....I'd say i will be duffing for awhile

This definetly works, I use the same thought if I get an odd hook, the other thing make sure ur grip pressure is not tight and check ur right hand is not too strong. Faldo had a drill for it with a beach ball between the legs first thing from the top is drop the ball. Basically ensures the first move from the top are the hips turning back..... just as Hogan wrote....The drill is on u tube. -
If only links i would agee with Doonbeg, Above all make sure u go to a hurling match, even better if its a Clare one as they are current All Ireland holders. Usually the big matches are on a Sunday so this may suit as golf courses are not so busy during the week.

Which one do u hit better? For me I have Ben Hogan 17 & 19 Hybrids, I hit the 19 alot better. Also have a cleveland laucher 19 Deg 5 wood steel head. If i go to the practice ground and hit 10 of each the 19Deg will win. But the five wood is longer than both just have to put up with the gap. Make sure u try before u buy.. In the past I've tried a few hybrids and the 5 wood kept going back in the bag. But the 19 Degree Hogan is very good. If u hit them both the same i find hybrids much better in the wind also easier to hit from rough.

Anyone know what kind of club this is???
tooc replied to jtothebarno's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Very interesting looking putter, let us know what u find out. -
Norman is being honest, this is what he thinks and probably what it takes to be one of the greats of all time. Probably would have won have won 10 majors if it wasn’t for larry Mizes chip in. If u ask Seve he would say

For non links try Druids Heath ( a monster from the back) also Tullfarris is very good. If u go to the Gui website u can look up opens competitions and if u have a club handicap u can play for around 30euro. Also the Heritage is quite good. Its worth calling these guys up they may give u a very good rate.

TaylorMade JetSpeed - And yet another line of woods for TM
tooc replied to RPMPIRE's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Its getting confusing now.... I think TM should go back to the number system.... now nobody even knows that U've just gone out and bought the latest and greatest and gained 3 foot off that mishit which has just been enough to get u right under the fecken tree. I'm wondering is distance such i good thing on a mishit!!!! I'm usually telling it to get down... -
Hi there just got a set of Hogan Apex II on the internet for 50 pounds, really good condition for clubs that came out in 79 no wear spots atall and chrome looks good. Fitted with AMF Apex Pro shafts 4, cant wait to try them out have new set of grips ordered for them. Also have a set of Slazenger SB-02 these are almost new really beautiful set but shafts are very soft R300s Have a set of S300 to put into them when i get a chance. Also have a bit of a Mizuno collection TP 19 and Z's (half a blade) but my favorite set are the Hogan Apex 99s look good and much easier to hit that TP19s.

Anyone else find it easier to hit blades?
tooc replied to dwade247's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
No... a good cavity back is easier ...I've got a set of TM RAC LTs, Apex 99's, Apex IIs Mizuno Tp 19s, 21s and Zs and SB-02s..... all the blades are about 1 club less than LTs in distance But saying that the Apex 99's are very forgiving compared to the Apex II. If i was playing for my life I would take the TM LT's, but it would be hard choice over the Apex 99's. The TM LTs are still one of the best cavity backs out there. Faldos TP 19 for blade sit very well behind the ball actually u feel quite confident with them.. but not a easy as they look. Just my thoughts -
Jack, no doubt about it... even if Tiger passes 18 majors Jack was up against players with alot more steel..... Trevino, Palmer, Watson (when he could put), Seve, Player.... these guys did not loose Majors they had to be beaten.
-
Reason for the back up is could very hard to replace if went missing on a flight or some, especially the likes of the Grads probably mizuno best iron. I have a set of TP19 and 21 but the TPZ feel better than both.
