  1. zripp3, I just sent you a PM. I'd like to get a copy of that coupon if you don't mind! Thanks!
  2. You do realize this section of the forum is called "Swing Tips" right? What did you expect would be in here? Pictures of hosels and clubheads maybe? LMAO! Totally agree with you Zeph. A video is definately the best way to go and Swing Academy is a sure way to improve your swing.
  3. Hey there, I know this is an old thread but I'm just wondering if you figured out the problem? I'm experiencing the exact same thing where I'm always pushing my 3W and my recently bought 3H. I just can't seem to figure it out. I've tried moving the ball forward in my stance, changing my swing angle and nothing seems to work. I feel like I'm hitting the ball solidly but it just squirts out to the right. What I really don't understand is you would think my 4 iron would give me somewhat similar results but it doesn't. My 4 iron either goes dead straight or has a draw. Any advice on why I can't hit those two clubs???
  4. Ok cool that definately makes sense.
  5. I see what you're saying but wouldn't that make it even closer between the two. As an example if I have a 15* FW and a 19* Hybrid that hits shorter wouldn't that make them even closer distancewise? I understand your point but I just don't understand why someone would need to add a club between the two in this case. I could see the logic if you have a 15* FW and a 21* Hybrid but aren't 3FW and 3H mostly 15* and 19* respectively?
  6. Oh I see. I never thought of it that way.
  7. Why would anyone need to have a club between the 3W and 3H? It's only 4 degrees right? 15deg to 19deg if I'm not mistaken.

    Amazing Story

Check out this video. The kid is amazing! http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1197420/4273255 Dre
  9. I would recommend you try the Ping G10 series also. My buddy just got the 3 wood and he gets awesome distance and very straight.
  10. There's some really good instruction video's on the following website: Shawn Clement Golf Just click on the "You Tube Shawn" link and you'll find tons of great instructional videos. Enjoy! Dre
  11. Me and my brother in law played our Club Championship this past weekend. Our course has 36 holes so the tournament was on a different course each day which was cool. Both being an 18 handicap, we were in the last (4th) division. We both had one good day and one really bad day so we weren't expecting to rank too good. I ended up finishing in 2nd place (GROSS) and he got 1st place (GROSS) beating me by only 2 strokes. Not bad for two guys who just started playing full time this summer! I had golfed 10 years ago for about a year and he probably played a few rounds per year before we decided to buy our membship this year. I guess all that time spent on the course this summer actually paid off. Dre
  12. You mentionned your current bag is pretty heavy so I don't know if weight is an issue but if it is you probably don't want to go with the Revolver since it's heavy. I would definately look at the OGIO's. I find they make a lot of great golf bags at really low prices. OGIO Dre
  13. Well I owe you a big thank you because I think you just may have solved my recent driver problem! I bought a new driver about a week and a half ago and when I tried it out on the launch monitors, I was consistently hitting a small draw for my ball flight which was perfect. I was hitting it ok the first couple of rounds I played but lately I've been fading the ball on almost every drive. I just realized that when I was trying out the driver, they had tape on it so I could see where I was catching the ball and make adjustments. Now that I don't have the tape I can't really see where it's hitting and I've always had the idea that a fade or slice was caused by a ball hitting more towards the toe of the driver. So in trying to fix my fades, I was setting up the ball more towards the center of my driver head instead of the toe where I was setting it up before. In theory, if I just set up the ball more towards the toe again, I should straighten my drives! I'll let you know if this works out tonight! Thanks! Dre
  14. I'm a lefty and I golf right handed. I don't think it caused any more problems than anyone else that is new to golf. I think I actually learned faster than most. If you're just starting out, I would definately suggest watching the Shawn Clement instructional videos. They're free on his website. It's definately what helped me improve the most. http://web.mac.com/shawnclement/Site...ube_Shawn.html Enjoy! Dre
  15. I'm not sure if it's the same for you but the reason I would always fade or slice the ball was my spine angle was too upright at address. After some suggestions I started to bend down more and I would say 80%-90% of my drives go straight now. I don't even have to focus on doing anything with my hands like before. All I have to do is focus on hitting through the ball and the rest is automatic. I will get a tiny fade once in a while but I'll usually still end up on the fairway. The best thing I would recomend is to take a video of you hitting the ball and post it on swingacademy.com. They're the ones who helped me change my swing. Good luck! Dre
