  1. Holy crap, did you guys get them from a store seller on Ebay? If so, what's their seller ID?!!? I've been waiting to get one of these.
  2. I recently switched to a Ping G10 and this club is just ridiculous. It goes LONG and straight right down the pipe. The ball seems to carry forever and I get pretty good roll out. Most people say it's hard to work it but I can tend to put a baby draw or fade on it when I need to. Excellent club, get it!

    My swing

You have a pretty nice swing but I think there may be a few things you can work on: 1. I can't tell if it's the angle of the camera but I believe you may be coming over the top. Which leads to the outside-in swing path. I also think you're divot was pointing to the left. (Again it may just be the camera angle) 2. Also try to stay balanced. I can tell you tried to hold your finish but slightly fell back. I suffer from this at times too. 3. Your swing is very "armsy" now theres nothing wrong with that but I think you could get more power efficiently by using more of your lower body. 4. Lastly at the top of the swing you go past parallel with your club and that may cause issues on your downswing. These were just some suggestions and contructive criticism and if you can hit it solidly and consistently then that's awesome. Nice swing though.
  4. Not yet. I'm actually playing there the first week of April. Should be great!
  5. TEE is excellent! I had a 4 wood and I absolutely bombed that thing. One of the best clubs I've ever had.
  6. I have a buddy I play with who just started playing and has gotten decent I guess (30+ HDCP to 20+). He manages to give my other buddies advice on how to swing and whatnot when he has a terrible out-to-in swing path. He apparently says he "tries" to do that. He never, I mean EVER finishes a hole to the point the ball is actually in the cup. He 3 putts most of the time, and picks up the ball before he gets it in. But what irks me is that he doesn't count that last stroke. So a "bogey" to him should really be a double. Oh and I shot a 78 on our local course and was pretty proud of that. He goes and says to me, "yeah, this course boosts egos, it's a very easy course." Yet he shot a 112. Go figure. Other than these things, he's a good guy and is my buddy but these things just irk me.
  7. I would personally choose the membership. :] Then again, I have my dream set so I don't have to worry about deciding on new irons. Tough call for you dude, but since you're not too happy with your sticks I say go for the Victory Reds.
  8. I think Friends had a great ending. It concluded the series well and didn't leave anything "hanging." I hate it when that happens.
  9. I think you might get a max of 5-10 yds more. From my experience, the distances on my driver were the same with different lofts (9* and 10.5*). The higher loft gave me a high ball flight with a lot of carry. Of course roll was greatly reduced. With the lower loft, my drives were penetrating and somewhat low with a lot less carry, but the roll out equaled out. So, my distances were the same, just the variables changed. This was from my experience, it may be different for you though.
  10. I actually kind of went through this today. I've been playing my 45.5" TM Tour Burner and I hit it decently I guess. Not the way I wanted to hit it so I took it into the shop and had it cut down. It's around 44" now I believe and I wasn't hitting it well at all on the monitor. It kept going hard left and defnitely needed me to alter my setup. So hopefully I can make a couple swing changes and see if thing's work out. I really hope it does. I hope everything works for you too. Just gotta get on the range and work out the kinks!
  11. The back button is just a click away. Any way, I don't use a GPS while I play but today I played at a course with GPS enabled carts. It was pretty neat and did make my round a lot faster. I enjoyed it but I still probably won't buy a GPS thing.
  12. Thanks! As for the "chalkboard" finish, its basically a chalkboard. LOL. Before a tournament or when I play, my girlfriend writes on it or whatever. The best thing is that whatever is written can be erased! I know some people don't like it but I enjoy it.
  13. thedoxology, great set of clubs you got there. Here's my rating: TM R7 425: Can't say too much about this club but I did game a 460cc for awhile. One of the best drivers I've played with and was recently knocked out by a Tour Burner. I'm sure the 425cc is just as good. 9/10 Callie Steelhead: Nice classic fairway you have. We actually have one downstairs in our basement and was a great club. I'm not too fond of the looks though. 7/10 Ben Hogan irons: Awesome irons. What more can I say? Players clubs. 8/10 Vokeys: Same as above. Vokey wedges are one of the top names out there. 9/10 SC Newport: Great putter. Nothing like the feeling of a Scotty. 9/10
  14. I've always liked Ogilvy and I'm glad he's getting some attention. His swing is so smooth and effortless its just awesome to watch. I like how he's almost always expressionless and nothing seems to phase him. One of my favorite players.
  15. I love my Iomic grip. I've used Winn grips for the longest time and decided to change it up a bit. I agree the Iomic is a bit sticky when first used but after a couple wipe downs it feels just right. It's a great grip. But as with anything in golf, it's all preference. Some others might not like it but as for opinions, it gets an A+ from me.
  16. I got great deals on pretty much all the clubs in my bag. Lets see: Taylor Made Tour Burner - $120 (Brand New in plastic) Mizuno MP-33 3-PW - $185 Mizuno MP-R wedges (52,56,60) - $100 Titleist Scotty Pro Platinum - $140 Tour Edge Exotics CB FW - Free! 08 Ogio stand bag - $60 So approx. $605 for my dream set. Not bad if you ask me.
  17. Thanks for the tip Ak3! I'll definitely look into those. For some reason, the smaller headed drivers give me more confidence to swing to the fences. Then again, thats where the swing begins to break down. :p

Spring baby I'm itchin to get out again.
  19. I've actually been looking at a bunch of older drivers, mainly the 983k from Titleist. The reason why I'm looking for a change is because I want more workability and hopefully some more distance. The R7 is still good to me but it just seems to not have its "pop" anymore. Maybe having another driver to switch in every once in a while will keep things fresh.
  20. Wow. Just looked up Raphael Jacquelin on YouTube and his swing is soooo smooth. It looks so effortless but still goes a mile.
  21. Sorry everone for the lack of pictures. I'm trying to find my camera haha. The 1/8 stamps actually look to be a good size for golf clubs. I'm sure 3/4 would look fine as well but it was mostly more of the cost factor. I did do these to my MP33's, it was kind of scary but I practiced on a few old clubs first to get the feel of it. As for holding the club in place, I used a flat drill press vise. I also purchased magnetic covers for the jaws to protect my clubs from marks. People suggest doing the stamping with the club heads apart from the shafts but I did my clubs with everything intact. No problem at all.
  22. Ever since the 460cc drivers have come out, everyone has picked one up for their game. I currently game a TM R7 460cc that's been doing fairly well for me. I'm looking for a change and was thinking of going back to a smaller CC driver. What do you guys think? Any pros or cons to this? I was thinking of going to a TM 360ti 8.5*
  23. I just stamped and paint filled my clubs last night. Still gotta find that camera though. I'll post some pics up.
  24. http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/(pu...rce=GoogleBase Thats the stamp kit I bought but in 1/8th. It was considerably cheaper too at $28.
  25. Yeah I'll get a pic up in a little bit. I just paint filled them so I'm waiting for them to dry.
