  1. by the pro at westchester country club. I dont know what the machines are called but he used a couple, plus he knows from experience, he has fit over 1000 people with clubs in his career history.
  2. I play a pro v1 x with red circles around each of the numbers with a red line through the "pro v 1x" line for putter alignment
  3. well, i just had a custom club fitting for my new callaway x-forged 2009 irons and the pro who did my fitting put in the 5.5 shafts. originally, i thought that he would put in 6.0 shafts because i have a fast swing speed (around 110 with driver) but he said that 5.5 was the right shaft for me. He said that 5.5 rifle is a stiff shaft, and that most who put the 6.0's in shouldnt have them. I dont know what my iron club speed is but i do know that i have a fast swingspeed.
  4. NOOO hugo and camila are gona lose :( their my favorites their so much better.. this sucks. wish they won :( but congrats to them, they surprised me. Makes missing his sons birth easier to deal with, he can drive him around in his new bmw xD
  5. Yea, i was hitting my friends the other day. Its a good club.
  6. That doesnt mean that he couldnt be even better with newer clubs. Think about it... after 15 years, there is going to be a huge gap in the technology of the clubs he is using and the clubs that are sold now. This doesnt mean that he is going ot shoot badly because he is using older clubs. If you are good, you are good. It is as simple as that. However, if you ask any golf pro, EQUIPMENT DOES MATTER. I would be willing to bet that if he would invest in newer clubs he would shoot even lower in the 70s. Golf pro's wouldnt just get new stuff if the new stuff wasnt better than their old stuff. They wouldnt use new things if it wasnt going to make them better. yes it is true that they are payed to use the stuff but i would also bet they, would buy the stuff weather they were sponsered or not. i mean, think about what computers are going to be like 15 years from now... I have a brand new apple mac book pro laptop. Almost anyone would agree that it is an awsome computer, and is one of the best on the market. But imagine what it would be like 15 years from now.. we would probably laugh when we saw it.
  7. I basically never use my lob wedge. I do most of my chipping and pitching with a 52* gap wedge. i use the 56* once and a while, and basically only use my 60* if hitting a very high flop shot, or if there is basically no room to land the ball. i would recomend trying to use a gap or sand wedge, chipping and pitching with a lob wedge isnt good imo.
  8. Yea i also use the Taylormade Tour Burner. Great club. i would definatly reccomend it.
  9. dumb idea to drill the hole.. you shouldve sent it to callaway and had them fix it... honestly i would think the driver is trash if you drilled a hole in it. but then again, there are no pics to know what it looks like
  10. ^ yea i agree all the way. I mean sure their not brand new, but they are forged irons. They get beat up very easily. Also as he said, do you think there going to look brand new after youve finished playing alot of roudns with them? just re-grip them and youll be fine. although as one of the people said, i dont know why you would get those irons with a 17 handicap.. its going to make hitting good shots harder...
  11. I have the nike SasQuatch Tour bag, its really nice. Its kind of like a hybrid bag meaning that it has alot of pockets like a cart bag but is a stand bag, its pretty light for this type of bag at 5.5 pounds. it has 14 individual dividers that run all the way down so your clubs dont get tangled, a cooler pocet, scorecard pocket, pencil pocket, marker pocket, etc.. also has a wide variety of colors. Overall great bag
  12. they look like shit... plus, the clanking has done nothing to affect the way that my irons play
  13. i have a ZR jacket, its awsome. Very comfortable, good looking, and extremely functional. Its a great buy if your in the mood to put up the money for it.
  14. hah yea i only get my PW 130 xD
  15. same with me for the tour burner i just bought, i got it for $319 when it normally goes for $400, but when you add the extra $55 they charge to add the v2 shaft i saved over 100 dollars :D good buy, glad it was real.
  16. aeropostale, american eagle, abercrombie, j crew, polo, old navy, and pretty much every other teenage store in a mall.
  17. 6 feet tall 35 inch putter.
  18. hmmm idk if i would play it or not. i mean i know they said the only one they would play are the limited edition ones he makes every year but the tour SC putters also go for alot of money, and if it is brand new in a couple of years it will go for even more. its a tough call, but hten again. Playing with a tour version scotty cameron is probably insane. lol idk wat to say, flip a coin on it xD
  19. Thats ridiculous People who blame the putter are just making excuses... that shouldnt be a reason not to buy a scotty cameron... For any avid golfer, a 3 put should be disgraceful weather you are using a scotty cameron or you are using an old ray cook putter. I have used both cheap and expensive putters.. and i didn't shrug off a 3 putt with either. lol.. even putters get stereotyped
  20. Thanks :D I like the putter a lot, it has a great feel and the weighting is really nice. I also feel that its easier to control the distance of the putt with it.
  21. what model scotty cameron is it? i mean i know its a newport 2, but which one? studio select, stuio style, etc..
  22. Id feel like a moron three putting with any putter...
  23. i dont see why people think it is such a big deal to drop 300 dollars on a putter. You use a putter on every single hole that you play. There is no other club in your bag that you can say that about. If you can drop 400+ on a driver then why cant you drop 300 on a putter? yes, it is true that you can buy a less expensive putter and put well with it. Before i got my scotty i had a ping g5i b60 putter i got for $114. And that is fine, it was a lower priced putter and it worked great. But i still dont see why some people look down on paying 300 for a putter. i mean you can pay 100 dollars for a driver and hit it just as well as you hit a 400 dollar driver, so i dont see why its any different for a putter :/ Anyway, I love my scotty. And i think that it was definatly worth it.
  24. only thing i payed full price for was the wedge and putter. the other things i bought on e-bay. bag i got for $138, brand new: normally $185 shoes i got for $130, brand new: normally $170 driver i got for $319, brand new w/ v2 ust stiff shaft: normally $455 with that shaft putter and wedge i bought at retail price of $300 and $119
  25. i have purchased 5 new golf products in the last month 1. tour burner: 2. scotty cameron: 3. Sp-8 golf shoes: 4. Z TP 52* wedge: 5. SasQuatch Tour Golf Bag: Most golf products i have ever purchased in shuch a short period of time i think.
