Yeah, killing innocent animals for absolutely no reason is pretty mature isn't it? I'm not even against hunting (in the correct venue and if you plan to eat it) but why the hell would you kill a bird with a golf ball for fun on a course, and think it's amusing? Did your dad beat you as a kid or something?

Yeah probably, I tend to only hit to the pin with my driver. I hope your golf is better than your ability to guess how well other people play from 2000 miles away.

Looking for new hybrid/wood shaft
CosmosMpower replied to oneil003's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Grafalloy Prolaunch red should work to get you that lower trajectory. I'm actually about to pull one out of my Adams A3 hybrid in stiff flex in favor of something that gives me a higher launch, if you're interested PM I'd be willing to let it go well within your budget. -
Actually it's just the opposite of compensation, it's 1,900 pounds 190 hp, and minimalistic. Perhaps you favor your crazy pattern pants to distract other people from your *ahem* inadequacy

Yep but I will have just as much fun as you did and that's all that matters because at the end of the day we both make the same amount of money from playing golf for a living, $0. At least you can make a few bucks at the party afterwards while I take my Lotus Elise for a joyride so I guess I lose

Yeah we also have a huge human overpopulation problem too, but I bet you would mind if I pounded a bridgestone E6+ from my driver into your neck

Play a round of golf and then put on your face paint and go entertain at a kids birthday party.

This weekend at a Muni we check in at the pro shop and the marshall tells us there's a single in front of us and he's kind of "off in the head". He reccomends that we not play with him so we take his advice and wait a few mins and tee off. Well there's a group of 5 playing incredibly slow in front of the single so we catch up to the single at the 4th hole. He sits at the green and waits for us to putt out and then asks if he can play with us. The guy kind of looks like a white wanna be gangster with baggy shorts past his knees, yankees cap backwards, high top converse shoes that were dirty and tattered with the straight brim, gold chain and he talks like he's not quite all there. He then has the nerve to ask us for a beer! I looked at my friend and thought what the hell is up with this guy so we give him one because we didn't want to make the crazy guy angry. We played a par 3 with him and decided we better skip ahead before the guy goes nuts and tires to rob us it was weird.

I heard golfsmith is having a big sale on drivers

My local golf galaxy doesn't charge anything for grip install if you buy it from them. And if it's just a club or two they can do it on the spot. My local PGA superstore says they charge 1 dollar a grip to install but they never charge me.

Shaft for TaylorMade R7 425
CosmosMpower replied to netropolis's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Weird, I just bought a R7 425 from PGA superstore and have about the same swing speed (85-90) mph. Mine has a stiff Fujikura Speeder 569 in it and it seems to actually work fine as it's a high launch shaft. I may be losing a few yards but I was consistently driving it 240-250 total yards yesterday. You may want to try the Prolaunch blue or Proforce V2 high launch to help get a higher trajectory as I typically have that problem too and those 2 shafts came highly recommended. -
65 MPH Swing Speed = Graphite/Senior Shaft?
CosmosMpower replied to JackB1's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I think a 7 iron 150 yards does not warrant a senior flex. I'm 25 but pretty skinny and I only swing about 88-90 mph with driver and I play regular with an occasional tip soft high torque stiff shaft. -
Anyone using lob wedge for all greenside chipping?
CosmosMpower replied to littlefish's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I tried it but my distance control isn't that good so sometimes I land it just short or at the flag with a flop shot but I don't have enough spin to stop it so it rolls by about 5-6 feet. I think I'm going to try using my 56 from now on and playing a more conservative bump and run. Oddly enough one day I was messing around on a practice green and tried to chip with my 60 degree. I actually caught the ball underneath and it had a small hop then checked up and went into the cup from about 6 feet away. I tried it again and discovered I was more accurate hitting shots like that than normal putting getting 4-5 shots to go in or barely lip out. I didn't take any kind of divot in the green the club just slid underneath the ball which took a hop and checked up. -
Maybe the sign should read something like "Please do not mess with Lostgolfballs.com inventory supply"

Hi, I live in Dallas too. Are there any regional events on this board like a bunch of people from the same city on the board get together to play a round or drink some beer etc? The local car clubs I belong to have stuff like that every once in a while.

Go buy "Golf is not a game of perfect" read it. The book was reccomended to me by some people on the forum and it's incredible and very simple and deals with how to deal with pressure and think right on the course.

And he looks like a fruitcake. The first time I saw him on TV I thought, why is there a girl playing on the PGA tour that's not Michelle Wie? Oh wait, it's a guy.

Educate me on re-shafting clubs (hybrid)
CosmosMpower replied to CosmosMpower's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Thanks, I did some research and by the time I pay labor to have 2 shafts pulled and re-installed from the 17$ fairway wood it would be almost the same to just buy 2 new .370 tip hybrid specific shafts so I'm going to do that. -
Unless you buy from a trusted source that has a very accurate rating system like Callaway Preowned online. I've never heard anyone say it came in condition worse than they expected, always better.

White hot 2 ball blade, it seems to have a knack for winning majors ;) I've yet to try the sabertooth, I'm scared I'll buy one if I do.

Ok but there are many banks that are alive and well. I haven't ever had a problem with Washington Mutual for example, you make it sound like the whole industry is collapsing.
-
True but i'm talking about a 3% basic savings account with something like Wamu or BOA that is federally insured.

Some courses around my house have a PDP (player development program) that's usually 35-50 bucks a month that includes unlimited range balls, discounted green fees, free clinics on the weekends and pro shop discounts. Maybe you can find something like that which would save you a ton of money. 80 bucks a week is like a cheap car payment, 320 a month or if you put that money into a 3% savings account that compounded once annually you would have a little over $30,000 bucks at the end of 7 years. Even if you did the PDP thing and spent 50 a month on that and put the rest in the bank you would still have 25 grand. If you keep doing this for the next 20 years you would be flushing 135 grand down the drain Ouch. Sorry I'm bored :)

Need to fix a small chip on my 3 wood..

Sharpie or automotive/model touch up paint. -
They're actually made from starch and are biodegradable if you leave them in the ground. Be careful though the prongs are sharp, I've cut my thumb on one before.
