  1. My miss is sometimes a hook, my ball flight is draw. The Trackman shows approx. 10 degrees from in to out club path with 5-6 degrees open club. The swing speed is now between 119 and 122 mph. I hit now only half swing of that with irons, I do not carry the 2 iron anymore.
  2. I've been Playing Golf for: July 21, 2013 My current handicap index or average score is: HCP 11.3 My typical ball flight is: Fast The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Off the fairway Videos:
  3. Well, down, I guess, my EGA handicap was 54 in July 2013, now it is 15,8.
  4. Is there stll a country club for this game available for the Sand Trap and what name it has got?
  5. Since it is winter here in north, no outdoor gaming, but recently I made in indoor golf arena 9-hole par-2 close encounter course (chip and putt) for even (E) =)
  6. A new personal record in Trackman. Swing speed was 114,3 mph.
  7. Updates with new equipment: Changed my Diamana Ahinas to Aldila VS Proto X, 80 to woods and 95 to hybrids Driver: 300 yards 3-wood: 270 17h: 240 21h: 215 5I: 200 6I: 185 7I: 160 8I: 135 9I: 125 PW: 115 52: 105 56: 90 60: 80 64: 65 Putter: 211 Woods and hubs are all Titleist 910-series. Irons are Mizuno MP-59 and 64 wedge is Dunlop 10-bucks-miracle-next-to-rock-shanker. Putter is some cheap Wal-Mart-model, 211 yard putter drive was measured with GPS from tee in par-4. Swing speed measured with Trackman, record speed 123.8 mph, of course a bit slower in ordinary circumstances.
  8. I made the order August 17th and now it seems to be arriving soon. Let´s see. I do not like a company which values "honesty" in their web page and customer service says "we have shipped it yesterday" and I get a "shipped today" -notification 6 days later.
  9. No idea, but here in Finland they would be 910D2 + Diamana Ahina 500 e 910F + Diamana Ahina 299 e 910H 19* + Diamana Ahina 279 e Mizuno MP-59 5-PW + R12 52, 56 and 60 would be 1350 e 64 Dunlop Wedge 10 e =) Some 10 e putter Totals as 2448 euros = $3182 I know, golf equipment is quite expensive here. I bought all of those in total of 450 euros used = approximately 600 USD.
  10. I have shopped in 3balls earlier, it worked nicely without any delays. The store I used last week has been a bit slower now.
  11. How have You been treated in the internet stores? I bought some Aldila shafts from one of US Yahoo-based stores a week ago and they charged me immediately. After that, no messages of sent order or others.
  12. 307 yards, said the GolfBuddy Tour at last week.
  13. There was some debate over the reality of Trackman results earlier spring. Tried it last week in competition where I measured a drive of 307 yards with GPS. I shot in the long drive competition 273 yards at another hole. Trackman estimates were something like 280 yards, so it seems accurate, at least with these results.
  14. I am right-handed in general, nevertheless I can live with left hand only decently (tested due injuries). Yet, I play all games which require bats, rackets, clubs or cues by holding it from the end of the butt with right hand (it means I play tennis and snooker from right side, ice hockey, baseball and golf from left side.) My friends told I should start playing golf from right side, even it felt completely unnatural when I tried it. So, I chose to be a lefty. I feel my shots from left are significantly harder and more natural to me. How can I tell in my profile I am "lefty?" I could not find the switch from the settings. Here in Northern Finland it´s rather easy to be lefty. I would say the ratio of lefties to righties is 1:4 or 1:5 whenever I visit either range or course. I use Mizuno MP59 irons and Titleist 910 woods, both of them available for lefties also.
  15. Some adjustment to the clubs: 910D2 Ahina 72x @ 7.75* 910F Ahina 80s @ 15* 910H Ahina 90s @ 21* Mizuno MP-59 5-PW Mizuno MP-R12 52* 56* 60* Dunlop Tour TP13 64* custom The 12-dollar putter
  16. Titleist 910D2 8,5 -> 7,75 Diamana Ahina 72X Taylormade R11 5-19 rescue Fujikura Motore 3.0 Stiff Taylormade Burner 25* Stiff 4-PW Ben Hogan BH-5 Regular 56-60-64 Dunlop TP13 Tour wedges Some 12 dollar putter
  17. 43 in 9 holes last Friday in winter greens. With my HCP it´s -8 net =).
  18. My first par for this spring, since the courses are just opening up.
  19. Fastest measured 123,8 mph. Ordinarily 115-118 mph. Measured with Trackman.

    Lefties

New lefty from Northern Europe joining in. My father is a lefty and so are two of my brothers who golf rarely. In my own family which I work as a father (3 kids and wife) the skirt department is only heretic, playing from dominant right side. I could consider it as a contra-statistical issue that 4 out of 5 in my family are lefties.
  21. I have two Audis, my wife usually drives the Allroad 2.7T quattro. Yours truly goes to golf course by S8 D2.
  22. That´s more like it. So, not so much findings of different torques and other measurable issues. As a Finn, I don´t believe in money, I´ll buy everything second hand.
  23. I was trying to avoid getting a ton of those "ahina is sh*t, get some other" -style "personal opinions," which are plentiful over other threads. I am interested in this issue purely by scientific curiosity and possible reason for some odd twitches in shafts while hitting. Despite extensive search in Taylormade web page, I was incapable of finding out the "Made for Taylormade Diamana Kaili 80 X-stiff" torque and compare it to aftermarket Kaili-version which was available immediately in Mitsubishi Rayon web page. Taylormade does not point out easily where they hold the past model cheat sheets. Now, the question was: how do the "made for whachamacallit" differs from genuine aftermarket 300 € shaft which has same name?
  24. I own a Taylormade driver with Diamana Kaili 80 X-stiff shaft (Taylormade) and I´m getting soon Titleist 901d2 with Diamana ahina 72 x-stiff (Titleist). I would be interested to know, are those a lot different than aftermarket versions of the shafts? Please, save me from personal opinions, I would be interested about torques and other measurable stuff.
