  1. I think I'll use some of that advice . The stick to one ball thing and developing creativity with only a couple clubs. What's funny though, is how you say don't accept all the tips you hear ebcause 90% of them won't help your game... at the end of your list of tips.
  2. If it's windy I have might have trouble because I hit the ball very high, but I hit my irons pretty well most of the time.
  3. Shot an 80 with 31 putts
  4. I have trouble starting the downswing with my hips and can't seem to stay on the same plane with a lot of effort :SSSSSS

    Tee Height

Center of the ball at the top of the clubface And I lift the club up off the ground slightly at address. I drive an average of 280 or so.
  6. lol nice, my favourite one was the wet floor sign in a carpeted area.
  7. Nice, I had just read that book a week or so ago, haven't got around to really putting it into practice though.
  8. bump, I'd like to know as well

lol a little wishful thinking? :p
  11. At the beginning of the season I had high fades and seemed to struggle a bit hitting my 7-iron 150 yards. Now I still tend to fade on irons but it's much straighter and I hit straight shots as well; 8-iron around 150. My drives were the same - high fades. But now I have a tendancy to really hook the ball. The change that brought me extra yardages was pulling my irons on my downswing. I do so on my drives and tend to hook or push them (not always). My question is if my pulling through with left hand is correct, or if it's a sort of compensation for something else (like my casting of the club). What do you guys do or recommend?
  12. I almost forgot about those - I saw them in the catalog. Golfsmith probably distracted me because they're more specific etc.. I think I'll try a couple heads out as a 5 or 7 iron to make a decision, including that one. I'm a big fan of the price and I don't see any negative consequences to that route.
  13. I'm using Dunlop prototype irons and it's apparent to me the head is to help get the ball in the air because I hit my shots very high and I'm sure there's not a whole lot of backspin on them. I carry my 8 iron ~ 150 yards and hit them pretty solid now but think I might benefit from a bladed or half-bladed set. I'm thinking about one of these, does anyone have any experience with them? http://www.golfsmith.com/products/SE2661 http://www.golfsmith.com/products/SE2660 http://www.golfsmith.com/products/G2460
  14. I was watching whichever show on the Golf Channel and they mentioned he's somewhere in the middle of reworking his swing.
  15. I had a sort of realization at the driving range the other day. If I pulled down with my left hand more instead of pushing with my right side I felt a snappy feeling at impact naturally and hit my shots about a full club-length further or more. No fade.
  16. He dips down on his down swing (looking at number one), probably in an attempt to help the ball into the air. I did the same thing, although I'm not sure if I was trying to help the ball up subconsciously or if I dipped for another reason altogether. The first one looked like it hurt his hand, his drive not so much :p
  17. No thanks. I'm glad Feherty isn't commissioner.
  18. I'm 6'3" and my dad wants to put extensions on my irons (normal length); in your estimation would this be beneficial or not? Thanks.
  19. Just wondering if my coming over the top and casting is why I don't have much spin? I can't hold greens well at all, but I'm not sure if the course I'm playing has something to do with it too.
  20. nice have fun
  21. I shot an 86, so my score is improving a couple strokes each round. . . but eventually I'll plateau if I don't get my act together with my putting (struggling with 3 footers, didn't make anything out of 5-6).
  22. Very short par 4, early-in-season tees make it roughly 280 long; highly elevated green. Had a nice straight drive for a tap-in eagle.
  23. I think he led a fulfilling life.
  24. If it's not working try going through my profile, thanks. http://www.vidilife.com/index.cfm?f=...countID=534429
