1. I think biggest cause for shanks is a bad shoulder turn and getting disconnected with your arms and body.
2. In the award ceremony of this years Superbowl the winner team was called "champion of the world". Didn't know the whole world played in the NFL. Strange attitude, a bit arrogant.
3. I personally don't think that you can feel a difference at impact between a forged or a casted club. But I don't know if they sound different at impact and how much this sound really affects the player...
4. @3Putter How about that:
5. The
cant blame Bubba, beatles are history. It's like if you would ask a european tour player to know the brady bunch:-P
The Brady bunch came in Europe too...
6. If casted and forged iron are the same, how do you explain this:
7. In that chart the body is aligned to E, being A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H and I the individual ball landing point. If you hit the ball to that E spot, you would have played a straight shot. If the ball lands at "I" you would have played a push-fade.
8. I would say the ball flight depends on the alignment of your body - independentley from the target. Anything else doesn't make much sense.
9. Great explanation, thx a lot.
10. Where's the difference between D - Straight Draw and G - Push Draw? Just the alignment to the target?
11. Probably because of tradition too. THE Open is the oldest still played Golf tournament in the world.
12. This says everything:
13. I would say Links courses are more difficult because the wind comes more into play.
14. Really sad when that happens. It doesn't happen too often even though there are a lot of spectators on the courses on tour.
15. Optical Illusion caused by the camera. I don't think you can judge shaft bending with an iPhone camera, it's not good enough...
16. Until today I still play Links 2003. Still a great game.
17. Why don't they build all clubs like this? We would have a much better life...
18. Thanks.
19. What do you mean with elbows pulling apart? Should the arms be closer together?
20. Why don't they build clubs where the hosel is behind the club face?
21. Fireworks here in Germany!!!
22. Generally I would take a Pro and take advice from your friend, but as isukgolf mentioned, try to verify. There are so many different swing philosophies and it could be for instance that your Pro wants you to exaggerate a movement in your swing to learn it better and your friend thinks that's a mistake. So you have to be careful. The biggest challenge is finding a good Pro. Unfortunately you can forget the majority...
23. I can't imagine there is a Golfer that never shanked a ball in his life.
24. Do you think it's possible to cure the shanks forever? Or are they just part of the game and always will come back? What's your experience and opinion?
