'Breakdown' with Kurt Russell. I can remember watching it by chance about six or seven years ago and being on the edge of my seat. Quite a short film and it didn't have the shine when I watched it again recently but still a favourite.

Sounds like you were playing with my wife ;) When I was playing regularly I usually only played with a handful of friends, of course if I was in a tournament it was different. I've usually been very lucky with my playing partners when I have no control over them. When I was off 18 I was put with a 1.0 and a 2.0 handicap players, and they spent some time informally giving me some tips about my swing and such. At the turn I was only one shot behind the 1.0 handicapper on gross and ahead of the 2.0! I ended up winning the nett competition and he won the gross section!

As I learned to play whilst at boarding school I rarely was able to play during term time so I had some summer months where I was playing four or five times per week, then I'd go six weeks with nothing but the odd trip to the driving range. On average I'd hit it about 240yrds, but by the end of the summer when I was on my game I'd be more like 270yrds average.

Travel. I could have bought myself a pretty decent new BMW 5 series with the money I've spent on it so far this year!

Should have put in my original post the reason I ask is that they're after an additional $10 for shipping and I can't get my Steelhead Plus headcover from there as they don't have a 3W version. If they had the S+ I would be fine.

Anyone know a good place to buy Callaway headcovers online beside the usual suspects (ebay, Callaway pre-owned etc) I'm looking to get my hands on a Biggest Big Bertha one in red with houndstooth one like this and a Steelhead Plus 3 Wood variety. Mine are pretty beat up but I really like the clubs despite the laughs I get at the driving range Thanks Fraser :)

Only on the shortest of par 3s will I not tee it up. I played on a very short course with my wife on Friday (she's new to the sport) and it had a 105yrd hole. That was a PW without tee. Above 120yrds I'll be teeing it up, a touch.

Fortunately this isn't a decision I have to think about too often! I think picking up after six on a par 3 isn't on. If you hit the ball OB or in water then you're shooting 'bogey' or picking up....

Wow! I might drive 300kms if I had those clubs to play with! I've only just started playing again after a 3yr hiatus. The club where I was a member in the UK was 5 miles from where I lived. At the moment I've of no fixed golf abode!

I'm not working at the moment. My job relocated 900 miles from where I am so I chose to go travelling around the world for a few months with my wife.
