  2. On the executive couse I play I always walk. When I was rehabbing I used a push cart a few times. I will walk on the shorter par 72's. But, during a tournament or on the longer courses I will ride. If I am walking and I'm getting behind I will either skip a hole or let those behind me play through. I don't think anyone should have to deal with someone else's slow play, least of all mine.
  3. Escalade Hybrid.
  4. ProV1 or ProV1X. A little more distance and a little less spin with the ProV1X. The ProV1 is softer and spins more, although not as much as last years ProV1X. I have a friend that looks for last years model for just that reason.
  5. It doesn't matter how stupid they look doing it, it's how their tantrum's affect the players around them. Maybe anger management should be part of the curriculum.
  6. I don't know how the interface on the BB works, but, on the iPhone this is what I have experienced: Once you have started a round go to: statistics | current round | edit my current round you can edit from there. Once you click on "sync score-stats" under statistics, you cannot go back and edit a previous round. So you should not sync until you have finished editing your current round. Regarding tech support, when I have emailed them I get this system generated response: ----------------------------- Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your inquiry. We would like to gather more detail on your current situation to better assist you. Please call our customer service department directly at 1-877-977-0162 option 1. We are open Monday - Sunday from 7:00am to 5:00pm PST. - GolfLogix Customer Support -----------------------------
  7. I would say that once you have started on the second 9, no. With the economy the way it is here, and with the heat the way it is here, and as slow as it has been at most of the courses, they will 90% of the time cut people slack and let them finish the other holes later, but, typically not on a different day.
  8. Very true. That was me, minding my own business and next thing I know my Wife and Son are holding my hands in ICU after 4 hours of emergency surgery. 3 years, 10 days (yeah, I still count the days), and 7 surgeries later... When I am playing golf, or anything for that matter, and I'm not having the best of times, I reflect on how bad things could have been. I was fortunate. Amazing how insignificant a bad shot can be.
  9. I tend to agree with you. I still have my SG5 on and look at both it and my iPhone. When there is a discrepancy, I trust the GPS. I think we are becoming overwhelmed with all this technology. GPS, Laser and now Phones. I admit I am a gadget guy and I want to have all the cool new devices, but, I also understand that these devices are not going to make me a better golfer. That is still left up to me. It is still my decision whether I am going to dedicate the time to improving. These devices are just tools. Personally I am not at the point where I need to worry about my phone saying 120 yards and my GPS saying 123. It has happened on a few occasions where I have labored over the distance of my approach shot only to hit it fat or thin. My point is, use the devices for what they are, tools. Find one you like and use it. Generally speaking, I use my GPS on shots of 130-150 yards out, and my laser for shots 130-150 yards in.
  10. See post #43.
  11. G2 and water during the round...beer or bloddy mary's at the 19th hole. What would go good with an Arnold Palmer? I guess it would be similar to a long island iced tea, but, vodka, gin, tequila, and rum is a little much. I'm not much of a liquor drinker anyway.
  12. more like a fistfull! okay, internet tough guy routine over.
  13. priceless. i must say that i encounter people that have that attitude when you are being generous all the time. for example, walking down a main isle at the supermarket, and a lady comes out of a side isle without looking, ill say "go ahead" and nothing (im sure she drives her car the same way) and all i can say is "your welcome".
  14. prior to injury: circuit training 3-4 times a week. cardio 5-6 times a week. stretch everyday.
  15. congrats! i did the same 4 weeks ago. i shot 89 on august 19 and 83 on august 20. then, i had surgery on august 21st and have been out of commision since. i wont get to swing a club till the first week of october. i just hope i can get back on track. damn motorcycles!
