  1. I give the guys at titelist credit for incorporating a line and arrow down the seam as part of the new and improved ProV logo. Pretty smart and now you don't have to worry about messing up the sharpie line. Suprised no one thought of that sooner.
  2. I really disagree with some of the points made about how the NBA is nothing more then single players dominating the game. I think individual players dominate the media but when you look at the teams that have had post season success the teams with a group/No I in team, attitude have done the best. Look at the lakers with Kobe or the timberwolves with Kevin Garnett. Even Vince Carter went to NJ because he realized a single player can't dominate the league any more. The teams that have done well in the post season the last few years have all had more of a team emphasis and I enjoy watching the post season because that is when the true players and teams come out to play

    caddychicks?

So what these girls meet you at the course or what?
  4. No I dont own one yet unfortunately. I think I'm going to wait until the winter when they're releasing the new edition with all the bugs/errors fixed. Plus hopefully the price might drop a bit.
  5. I have always said that golf announcers simply state the obvious but throw in a few golf terms every other sentence. Andy North is a great example.
  6. What is Smarmy? We just making up words now??? I always love the opening coverage like right when it comes on NBC they build it up like a movie. "Will Phil close in on destiny, or will Kenneth Ferrie turn this into a fairy tale of his own. It will all be decided here at historic wing foot." dun dun don!
  7. In the pressure situation you have to go with what your comfortable with. Phil had practiced that hole a dozen times and probably hit driver every time. Switching on the final day to a 4-wood or something like that would have been a bad choice. Stick with what works. He played one bad hole and that cost him. I don't think he was stupid to hit driver just unfortunate that it didn't find the fairway. He could have easily hit it in the rough with his 4-wood also, its not like 4-wood for the pros equals dead center of the fairway.
  8. wow that is amazing. I didn't know they were so available.
  9. ttee... that is a great point Woods was constantly reminded of his loss which I'm sure would make it hard to focus. Well heading into day three Winged Foot seems like she isn't going to stop bringing the heat. The USGA moved the gallery back some that way players who hit bad drives aren't bailed out by the trampled section of the rough. Rough...there is no escaping it!
  10. What does that mean? Can I get a shout out on the Podcast for creating the topic? (I just listened to the Podcast good stuff. Cool to know I was part of the cast in some sort of way. ) We can all sleep easy now that NBC has taken over the coverage...Berman is dead to us.
  11. I guess he has a raspy harsh voice. He is ths one always making random comments and quoting people who have nothing to do w/ golf.
  12. Yeah I mean of all the guys they have on staff why in the world did they pick him for the commentary. Best part of the day was at 2oclock when the new announcers started.
  13. You definitely hit the ball right on the face with that quote.
  14. When asked afterwards Woods said "I wasn't ready to play golf, I need practice" So I think you're right in saying he doesn't deserve to make the cut.
  15. Thrash13 I agree completely!
  16. Man I'd park an hour away and walk if I had tickets to the US Open.
  17. I don't know what everyone else thinks but I can't stand Chris Berman as a golf announcer. He just doesn't seem to fit. He should stay with baseball and his "back back back gone" lines.
  18. The average score for today is playing almost 1 less then yesterday. So that will hurt Tiger if the trend continues. But iacas you could be right that +12 might be ok.
  19. Ohh ok didn't know it was for the entire weekend thought it was just for today. I would bet that Phil's score doesn't get worse then +12 for the entire weekend.
  20. I don't know if I'd call it Ugly??? Maybe its just that the PGA players have been spoiled with courses they can shoot way under. Maybe this is just a fair test of ability for Pro players? Yeah You're right xian +12...nothing is going Tiger's way today.
  21. haha iacas looks like your out of $10 unless Phil shoots an 82.
  22. Phil tee's off at 1:25pm. We'll see if he can keep his even numbers going. But so far no one has stood out as a real contender for the championship. We definitely might have a real close race heading into Sunday!
  23. Well tiger just finished at +11. I guess that will be it for him. Seems like he was ready to leave.
  24. Fahoo lots of good information. I liked that microtour. The only thing is you have to be invited in order to be able to attend. I will keep that in the back of my mind because you have to pay quite a bit to become a member and then for each event. Where is that summer solstice event at? Up near you or in NOVA? Sounds like fun!
  25. I like Phil I don't know every conversation he's ever had but he always seems to be a good role model. I guess I'd rather see a guy who's phony and gives kids a good example of behavior then someone who's real and is a jerk on the course.
