  1. does the smash factor there seem? However I would recommend the diamana shaft.
  2. How many of you use graphite shafts for your irons, and do you find that you need a stiffer flex than with steel?
  3. Honestly I would not hit anything larger than a 4 wood off deck. The 3 is just to hard to hit long and accurate. On average my 5 wood is within 10 yards of my 3 distance, yet more accurate.
  4. I wanted to try the mizuno's but my local store doesnt carry many left handed mizunos in-store.
  5. Most forged irons will have a very soft feel at impact. Look at the ping s57. They might not be forged but they have a very similar feeling.
  6. I have been looking at new irons for a while, and everytime I seem to choose one I will hit another one, and it seems to work better for me. I am looking for something that is workable yet forgiving, without the huge offsets, and nothing that has a frying pan as a clubhead. Tested: Callaway X forged 2 Nike CCI forged Taylormade TP Taylormade tour burner Titleist ZB Titleist ZM Still to be tested: Callaway X-20 tour Cleveland CG red Callaway x-22 tour The Tour prefered have a nice overall feeling, as well as the x forged 2. However I like the blades in the ZB set. The full muscles are just too hard to hit for me.
  7. The driver is some dunlop driver. It's a stock shaft, R flex. The loft is 10.5. I am sweeper. Last time I went I was told I had a higher spin rate (I dont look at the number). My smash factor is usually pretty high 1.44+, sometimes I screwup and it drops to 1.38, but it is usually 1.44+. When ss was measured it was 102-104 mph.
  8. I notice sometimes with my driver when I increase my ss I start to get an uncontrolled pull. So is that partially due to the shaft being too whippy? Also there are times when I will make perfect contact with a decent spped and the ball seems to just die after 150 yards. Anyone have a problem like this?
  9. Mizuno might not be OEM, but they have a fairly high price tag. Mcgregor would propably be your best bet.
  10. I had to go with the 5 Iron. Im more consistant with this than any other club. The driver is fun to bomb 275 yards, but I prefer the 5 for whatever reason.
  11. Taylormade TP irons, and the Callaway X-forged. What about a blended set like the Titleist ZB?
  12. I dont have concrete facts to agree or disagree with you, however, when I swing each that seems to be the case.
  13. I never thought of that. That's pretty close.
  14. What about the Callaway X forged 2 with the project x's? http://www.golfsmith.com/products/CA...X_Steel_Shafts
  15. When I said extra high, I didnt mean to the moon. The shaft is what makes most of the difference. It never bothered me. As for the Superquad, I truely loved the driver when I hit it. It, along with the Callaway Hyper X are some of the best IMO. Cobra is good, but every shot sounds weird, I cant explain it further than that.
  16. F stands for fast and M is moderate. This refers to your SS. F is for people that swing between 87 and 108 MPH. The M is for 76-97MPH. The M is more forgiving and promotes an extra high launch angle. The F is more tuned for distance, with a high launch angle.
  17. Hey, I live in whitby too, just thought I would mention that. What about the Cleveland CG Red? I hear there good, and I dont think they are like the other GI's if GI's at all.
  18. I have a garbage set, and am a big slider, I still find that I can spin, most of the time. Try hitting down more, and if you do not find that helps, go talk to a pro, and see what he says.
  19. I figure if you can hit the 60* well, go for it. A 60* is particularly usefull, IMO. Im not very well versed on bending, but from what I hear, seems fine.
  20. For example, the Nike Slingshots seem to have massive heads, where would they fall under?
  21. I am still uncertain as to how one can tell the difference between a SGI, a GI and a regular CB iron. Can somone clarify this for me.
  22. What about the Proforce V2 85 and the Fujikura Speeder 757. Both of those seem pretty nice.
  23. From what I hear the ProForce shafts are phenominal for the price.
  24. Work on accuracy right now, trim the speed a little. Defenitly when swinging over 100mph R flex shafts are too loose. Whats your carry like, distance wise?
  25. Well my 5I distances are pretty good, I'll average around 190+ yards. To describe my trajectory, usually on a good shot it starts off low and climbs, I notice this most of all on the driver and PW, dont ask why the PW, I couldn't tell you. I am looking for new clubs as well, and hold back buying new sets because im not sure what I should look for, ie ball height. Also I have trouble hitting balls such as the Pro V1. My drivers aren't consitant enough to play thoush higher spinning balls, but with the irons they are orgasmic, such a beautiful feel.
