  1. I've tried most of the new grips, and I always end up going back to tour velvets :P
  2. I carry 14, but I'm thinking about taking my gap wedge out. My gap wedge is 50* and my PW is 47* and the yardage difference between the two is about 10 yards at most. If it's not too expensive, I think i'll have it bent to a higher loft.
  3. I think you'll be just fine! I found that from switching from TM Rac CGB irons (Super game improvement irons) to r7 TP irons, I didn't really find myself being penalized too much on my mishits. I don't think that making the switch from GI irons to players irons is as big of a deal as so many people make it.
  4. I second the x86 bag mainly due it's light weight and the fact that it matches most of my clubs :P I've used ogio bags in the past (exo and some older models) and have never had any problems with the stands or durability of the bag.
  5. Funny because i was just thinking about regripping my clubs wiht smaller grips. That being said, I wear a small glove and while my hands are normal size, they're kinda girly and slender. I've heard that (not sure if this is true) the thicker grips are often better for your swing because it makes you 1. feel less obligated to grip tighter and 2. discourages you from getting to "handsy" with your swing. For me personally, I can't make a good swing with fatter grips.
  6. towel, wire brush, ~6-9 golf balls, rain cover, tees, assorted ball markers, 3 divot repair tools, 4 gloves (2 for rain), a light running jacket, bandaids, water, speed wrap, groove sharpener, about 20 bucks for emergencies (beer), few extra spikes, glucose tabs, granola bars, pocket knife, and an extra lighter.
  7. It's true that blades aren't as bad as so many people make them out to be. My first set of irons when I was 13 was a set of Titlest 981, which although aren't blades, are definitely not game improvement. I've tried SGI, GI and players irons but it's really not all that much different. If you hit the blades really fat or thin, the chances are that you would've done the same with a GI iron.
  8. Oh! and despite how my WITB says, i'm using a TM driver and TM wedges so I'm not a complete snob lol
  9. I guess i'm a bit brand loyal to Titleist because they were the irons i learned how to play golf on (i also happen to hit them well). I don't really have a problem deviating from titleist as long as it works. I would and have played most brand (TM, ping, cobra, etc) with the exception of Nike. Just don't like their stuff for some reason
  10. oh wow! i just bought these last week! they're extremely comfortable and for me tend to run about half size smaller than other companies.
  11. For a higher launch, I'd try a Graffaloy Epic FW. I have it in my driver, and i love it!

    The Hammer

Already a thread on this http://www.thesandtrap.com/forum/sho...=hammer+driver . Jack Hamm FTW!!! POWWW!!!!
  13. I used an ogio vector bag with the woode club management system for 2 years, and never had any issues. I play about 60 rounds a year and i walk the majority of them. I believe Titleist bags are made by Sun Mountain, and I'd recommend them as well.
  14. 1. Wilson Prostaff 4 iron 2. 1 year 3. graphite 4. Over my knee at the golf course 5. It's not as bad as it sounds. I was sitting down on a bench with the club in my lap when I got a little curious to see how far the shaft could bend. Needless to say, not very much. I had hardly exerted any pressure on the shaft when the shaft just snapped....my dad was really upset because he thought I had broken it in anger :P
  15. 2 full sets of golf clubs! the irons are... 1.) Titleist 735.CM with project x 5.5 2.) r7 TP with s300 I think i've played one round with the tp's since i've bought the 735's about 8 months ago :P
