  2. Playing with friends helps me a lot. Using game golf during my rounds has helped a lot too. It allows me to focus on my shots instead of my score.
  3. I need new shoes and I would like to get a new set of irons.
  4. I went to the range today and hit a bunch of balls. I focused half of my time on my priority pieces(less shoulder/hip turn during back swing). I hit most of my shots with my 6 iron. I also worked on pitching, chipping, and some putting today. For pitching I was work on distance control. For chipping I worked on chipping the ball out of deep rough.
  5. I worked on the same thing I did yesterday. I did some mirror work before showering this morning. I focused on not over turning my hips during the back swing.
  6. Mirror work today. I made slow back swings focusing on not over rotating my hips.
  7. Today I went to the range and hit a small bucket of balls. I had 2-3 practice swings before each shot. I worked on not over turning my hips during the back swing. I would hit about 5 shots then I would record a shot. My lower body is becoming very quite during my back swing.
  8. I did the office chair drill today. I focused on not over turning my hips during the back swing.
  9. Today I made slow swings in the yard. I worked on not over turning my hips during my back swing. I did this for 10-20 mins. I recorded all my swings so I could make sure what I was feeling was correct.
  10. Pushed my office chair around. Worked on getting my weight forward and not turning my hips to much during my back swing.
  11. I think the rest of my season will take place on the course. I'm way to comfortable on the range and way to nervous/timid on the course.
  12. 36 holes today. Thick rough is brutal. Chipping was a nightmare today.
  13. Game Golf along with some NxT Tour balls. What a great investment
  14. Over the past month I've been working on getting my weight forward and shortening my back swing. I'm more consistently getting my weight forward. I've noticed that it's starting to happen with out me thinking about it. Things really started to click after i changed how i practiced. I'm trying to do less range work and more mirror work. When I go to the range I practice really slow. I also stopped hitting large/medium buckets. I'm starting to work on getting my weight forward while keeping my head behind the ball. Is there a good way to practice this? I've been using the shadow drill. I watch the shadow of my head during my swing and make sure it doesn't move. Sadly, it hasn't been sunny of late. Shortening my back swing appears to be directly related to my my eye line. When I over rotate on my back swing my eye line is way behind the ball. When my shoulders stop at 90 degrees it appears my eye line is more directly over the ball. Would it help me if i raised my club faster? I feel I keep turning until my club is over my head. May be if I can get my club over my head quicker i'll stop my shoulders at 90 degrees?
  15. Slow swings in the yard working on getting weight forward and keeping my right tricept against my rib cage.
  16. 5-10 mins of pushing my office chair around. Focused on moving my weight forward while keeping my head steady.
  17. I hit a small bucket of balls at the range. I warmed up with my sand wedge. I continued working on my two priority pieces. 1) I need to get my weight forward 2) My right tricept needs to stay closer to my rib cage. I would take two practice swings. Then i would hit a ball. I was trying to swing as slow as possible.
  18. I hit a small buck at the range. I warmed up by hitting some shots with my sand wedge. I hit the rest of the bucket focusing on my priority pieces. I worked on getting my weight forward and keeping my right tricept on my rib cage. I would take 2-3 practice swings then hit a ball. To help focus on keeping my right tricept on my rib cage I made my swings by holding my glove in between my tricept and rib cage during the back swing and downswing. Out of the 30-40 shots i hit the glove fell out early once. To help with getting my weight forward I tried making my swings as slow as possible. I think my arm speed is starting to match my hip speed. I just have to slow the swing down a bit.
  19. I believe if I start practicing right I'll be able to get into the teens.
  20. I hit nerf balls in the yard today. I worked on getting my weight forward while keeping my head behind the ball. During my back swing I would keep my right tricep against my rib cage. I recorded every swing to make sure I was doing what I intended on doing.
  21. Today I anchored my head against my wall while working on getting my weight forward. I did a slow back swing with my right triceps anchored to my rib cage. For the downswing I focused on pointing my knee at my target.
  22. The course I play at just started renting out Golf Boards. This is the first time I've seen these. From what I've heard they are popular in Florida. Has anyone rode one of these during their round? What are your thoughts?
  23. Played 18 today. It was the first time I've walked in a while. Boy walking is a lot different than driving around in a cart. After my round I hit a bucket of balls. I focused on shortening my back swing and getting my weight forward.
  24. Slow swings in the yard. I focused on my heads shadow not moving during the swing. I continued to work on getting my weight forward also.
