  1. The toughest shot in golf is to hit the ball straight. As you get better at this game, your shots tend to get straighter. You also learn or have the the ability to shape shots. I personally do not know many players off handicaps from say 4 and upwards who can and at will, work the ball consistently? If you can, you should be playing off a lower handicap? How can a person off a 15 handicap say they can hit fades on purpose with their irons and then they draw their driver on purpose? The concept of being able to work the ball both ways is an easy concept being in your set-up/grip etc. There is more to this though as some astute teachers of the game will inform you. Which way do I prefer to work the ball? I am a person who likes a hole to go left to right. I love nothing better than hitting at a sand trap on the left and letting it drift back. If I could aim dead center, I would and at times do but I was taught to aim at something and work the ball off it. I think that the majority of golfers (high handicappers) should just aim the ball down the middle and concentrate on that. Forget about working the ball as it means more thinking over the ball. I hope this makes sense.
  2. Jack and Tiger, different era + different money + different equipment + more players that are competitive these days. Tiger is such an inspiration to all golfers as I suppose Jack was in his prime. I am sure Tiger will beat Jacks record. I believe that if you gave Tiger the balls that Jack used and his clubs when Jack was in his prime, Tiger would still play like an immortal. As we all know, Tiger is a freak, great to have him, can't wait for him to get back to playing.
  3. I have never seen snow or experienced cold weather in my life so far so golf is 365 days a year if you like. I can only imagine if I did live in a place that had limited golfing months for the year, I would like to know that there would be some sort of indoor golf range or even better, a golf simulator.
  4. Well, I am on vacation at the moment in Australia and playing today with my brother and a couple of his Australian friends, they said a few things on the course that I could not understand until I was told afterwards. "That is the ducks nuts". Apparently that means a great shot. "You are up the creek without a paddle". Apparently that means you are in trouble. Go figure, I find it tough to understand them as they speak so fast and my English is fluent, well I thought it was.
  5. I am musician. Music by night and golf by day if I wake up.
