WEll, my swing speed is like 106 or so, when i went on the launch monitor yesterday to get fitted for a fwy wood and hybrid. It seems that you have bad information, because three other people have said they do work. Just wondering where you heard that? And Sharpening your grooves would not be illegal if you kept them within USGA limits.

do they work? I was hoping that this could be a cheap alternative to buying more and more wedges. Will it work with vokeys? also, how expensive will theyy be and how long will they last? ~Chris

i just picked up my tour launch taylormade burner. It has no offset and is very workable. definetly check it out.
-
yea i just picked one up yesterday. I got a tour launch 4 hybrid. It has no draw bias and i hit it about 235 consistently.

GG= Golf Galaxy. The reason i think it was only like $30, is because it is not this years model, which lowers the prices on things.
-
I found a used one at GG for like $30. It doesnt have the moveable weights, like the new ones. I hit it and really liked it. what do you all think? is it a good putter? The one i saw was in pristine condition. And when we were at GG (im 14, cant drive) my mom got a detour for $50. I picked up a great tour burner 4 hybrid and a pristine titleist 980 3 wood, all for only $112 ~Chris P.S. i might trade in my white steel 2 ball and the putter could end up costing me like $2

powerbilt air force one drivers
miller72 replied to wedge player's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
IMHO any clubs that need an info-mercial are not a good club. You never see like titleist or taylormade have one of those 30 minute long shows about a product. Ok, maybe the medicus needed one, but people wouldnt know about it any other way. Power-Bilt has been around long enough ( my mom has a 20 y/o bag from them) that they should not need an infomercial about there clubs. Will the hitter even notice a difference? Fuzzy was getting payed to rep them, i dont think he would go out and buy one himself. -
ok, the finish will start wearing off almost immediatly on both. The oil can will rust pretty quickly and give you even more spin. I have had mine for about 1 year, and am thinking about buying a groove sharpener, but i play and practice a TON, so thats just me. The oil can is a very soft feel, definitely softer than the Chrome finish; however, I ahve never hit the Black Nickel since they just came out. Hope that helped you out a little bit. ~Chris

well, i would pick up a 52, and still keep the 58. You can open the 58* wedge up alot easier than the 56, so i would keep it. The 58 is also great for chipping.

Mizuno....what does the symbol represent?
miller72 replied to Dub's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
OOHHHH YEEAAAAA, i never made that connection. When i ran cross country, i got mizuno running shoes. The are the best shoes to wear for distance running no doubt. (symbol is running bird) -
anyone ever use 3balls golf to order clubs? im looking at the nike SuMo Hybrid, and the cobra speed pro fairway. I can get them both for $160 total, and pay nothing for shipping! im going to GG tommorow and testing them out. I have hit the hybrid before, and i really liked it. I have also heard nothing but good reviews about the cobra. I just wanted to know if you guys (and girls) have ever used this site. Thanks ~Chris

thanks. I wish i had a golfsmith within a 30 mile radius of my house

It is only like 150$ it is the pro version, and i was wondering if anyone had hit or knew like anything about how deep the face was, how workable it was, becasue its a great buy!
-
Well, there are really no stores like that in the ville. And my fundamentals are ovbiously ok, because i am a 2 or so HI. And i just replaced the spikes on my golf shoes. The only thing i notices is that i am hitting the ball 15+ yards further off the tee and with irons since i started to work out. its actually something that i need for next season in the tournaments i will be playing in because there is too big of a gap in btween my 5 wood and driver. Thanks for those uggestions, which are always good to keep in mind.

i am beginning to hit the ball farther, with the muscles i got working out this winter, and i decided that i need a 3 wood. I have $250-275 of spending money, but am also buying a hybrid. Any suggestions on any good, cheap fariway woods? no offset would be preferred, and i want a face that is not too deep.

AP2 vs. ZB(or any other player's iron suggestions)
miller72 replied to Titleist Man's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
can i say, that even fdor a 10 handicap like yourself, a set of 57's should be easy enouugh to handle. ~Chris -
ok, let me rephrase my original post. Considering everything, the clubs in my bag aare all very traditional, and that thing looks like a stealth fighter, with all the weird angles and what not. I guess the concept is cool, but it sounds almost a little too good to be true, and i own a r7 limited, it does have a lot of side to side variablity. The ft-iQ is a good concept, but i also just really, really hated square clubs (just my opinion) so dont get mad at me for not liking it. I understand that in the golf world, it should really come down to form over function, and if you want your own tour van to carry around in your bag, then, by all means, go for it. I think that i have always been taught to play and adjust to the course you are playing. I just never really thought of it as changing the settings in your driver. I am really sorry if i affended you, Baraethon. ~Chris

yea, go with like an 18*909h with a voodoo shaft. That would be a great 5 wood replacement.
-
they are goofy looking, and they perfom amazing. but i dont feel like mixing up my iron set to substitute that for an 8 or 9 iron. anyway, i am great with my 8 and 9 irons. Definietly worth looking at, but it is not going in my bag.

Anyone bagging 909F3/F2 combo?
miller72 replied to hypergolf's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Some of the other fairway woods seem to have a lot more power coming off their face and are easier to hit off the deck. With the 18* hybrid, you would be able to control your ball more than with the fairway wood. That was just my thinking ~Chris -
Bridgestone Ball Comparison
miller72 replied to Fourputt's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
actually, i just havent updated my sig. I am probably going to end up playing the e5+ this season. They actually helped my performance, and had good distance and spin. They are a good Cheap ball. I know that the nxt tour is a good ball but i feel that with the bridgestone, i am getting more bite for my buck. ~Chris -

very good logic unless you are trying to get to those par 5's in 2 with that 3 wood. Great idea, but also, look at like the 17* 909h instead of the 909f2 for more control, and it would save you like 20 or 30 buckaroos, which is always nice. Just my $.02 ~Chris -
It says you can change the loft, lie, face angle, weight, all for up to 75 yds difference in results. sounds like some BS to me. it looks like BS too. uglies thing i have ever seen, even uglier than the FT-iQ
