hey. im 14 just like you. I have a lower handicap but i still play the more workable 57's. They are the bestt irons out there and they fit the description of what you want almost perfectly. They give good feedback when you hit it wrong, but it sounds like you are a pretty good ball striker. these irons helped get me down to the handicap i have right now. Definitely consider these irons. Mp-57's all the way

i got the mp 57s as a 14th b-day present this year. They really worked a whole lot better than my oold armour 845s. I have px shafts in them. what did yours come with? i know that the px's have a higher launch than other steel shafts, and they feel better than any other shafts. Do they all come like that, or was my set different? The buttery fell when you hit them right just blew me away when i first tryed them out. It was way better then anyhting i had ever had before then. I fell in love with them after doming them for a week, and i was lucky enough that my dad likes me enough to spend that kind of money on my birthday.( it was the only thing i got) i am very please and they have helped me lower my handicap to below a 5. You made the right choice there. Happy golfing -
i played there the other day and it was amazing. i can honestly see why it was in the top 100. the practice area was huge and it was all kept in pristine condition. anyone else have any thoughts on this course?

well, for the 3 wood. if you have the money, go with the new titleist 909f or callaway squareway. both are amazing clubs and fairly easy to hit. as for the hybrid, i've got my choices down to either the nike sasquatch SuMo (non square) or the titleist 909h. the nike club is a heck of alot cheaper tho... that might make my decision for me. Happy golfing, chris

miller72 replied to Laxplayer201092's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
taylormade spider center shaft belly putter. doesnt that cover it all? they are soft enough too... -
oh and u'll be allowed to play them until like 2013 or somethin

the new spin milled wedges are even better than the old ones. i would stick with them because they are what you are used to. i played with the old ones for last year, and then i wore them out, and i switched to the new ones at the end of the season, and they shaved 3 strokes off my handicap. At least consider them while you're looking. Peace, chris (14)

ok... all i have to do is actually hit thim, but i want to keep the lofts consistent meaning that i want a 21* instead of a 20* in my bag. I think i am gonna go with the 909h (and it is $40 cheaper) which makes it even better

hmmmmm... very interesting. i am now down to 2 choices: the adams idea pro and the 909. just one more question: would it feel like a blade (players iron) or more of a GI cluib? thanks
-
hey, u dont score with the 5 wood do you? the sand wedge will help your short game immensely. i added new wedges, and dropped my handicap to less than 5. it was great. i play my 5 wood about 205 and i would be ok with your distance on that unless you are playing really really long courses, becasue if you have a decent drive, you should be able to do just fine with that.
-
does it feel (swingweight) more like an iron by any chance? some of the hybrids that i have hit feel like woods more than irons.
-
anyone hit the new 909 hybrid? Is it good? also, how are the stock shafts? thanks, im in the process of buying a hybrid.

can you get vokeys resstored by titleist? i was just wondering if there was a way because i didnt see anything on their website. I also dont really want to use a third party. Thanks, Chris

hmmm... 1) 3 or 4 junior drivers... 2) billy club 10* 310 cc 3) Ti 400 cc 10* 4) burner 07 HT 12* ( i just hit used ones at a golf store and never even though about loft on this one unitl it was too late) 5) callaway ft-5 9* 6) callaway ft-5 I-Mix 9.5* (so i could update my driver heads but keep my shaft, which was pretty expensive) I found that the Imix heads are like buying the driver, but not having to pay more than once to upgrade your shaft. Great investment. I also played a really old pirsimmon wood that was cut down by my dad for me. I hit this thing until i was like 6 years old. yea, i started playing golf when i could walk.

$80 dollars gift card at a Golf Store

as a teen, i cant justify buying shoes or gloves right now. I would wait until the beginning of my season and then buy them. and i wouldnt buy 5 pairs of the new gloves because i might grow out of them... and that would be a huge waist of money -
i know that i am adding it. It is the loft that Phil used to hit his backwards shots. It is called a "flop" wedge i think. it is also relatively easy to hit. You just have to make sure u are under the ball

yea, they are great. I got mine just before the cold really hit here in the louisville area, adn they are sick. They spin it back so hard, i hit it 10 feet past the pin, it spun back right next to it. (like 4 or so inches away) and tommorow is suposed to be warm here, so i might go out and mess around some more with them. :)

I would prefer to walk and carry my own bags. I like to figure out all of my own shots, because i feel that it adds so much to my game. In highschool golf, we are our own caddies. This makes the game so much more fun. Also, if i asked a caddy what shot to hit, i would probably think about it too much, and if i doo that, it just doesnt work for me. I have my way of playing the game, and it is not to mull over each shot and ask twenty qwestions. It is step up to the ball, figure out the wind, the distance, etc... and hit the ball. i've been rtying this approach fo the last 5 years, and its working pretty dang well for me... I dont like to ride either, because that also throws my game off. As a 14 year old, i am not allowed to ride (drive) all of the time. I just feel rushed when i do.

i might take my girlfriend out...thats a good idea... ( i mean, i take her out anyways, but we might do somthin special...) Dont give me any of that "young Love" crap either! and then with the rest, i'll get somthin used from the local Golf galaxy, because the stuff they have in their used bins is great, adn cheap... thanks for ur advice guys
