  1. i am in the amrket for a hybrid, because with my new set of irons i lost my 3 iron, so i tried my friend's adams idea pro, and it was amazing! it sets up like an iron, and it is definitely a "player's" hybrid... it was a great club...i just need to find one that i can afford right now... :(
  2. i wanted to know if there were any others... Soccer needs to stop being a minority...

im 14, and ive been playin golf for about 12 years...
  4. i have sentimental connections with my shoes... not buyin nerw ones right now... im only buyin new ones when i cant even put my foot in it (im 14 my feet are still growin) or when they fall apart; which ever one comes first
  5. well, mesquite is about 40 miles away from vegas, and there you have Wolf Creek, which is a helluva course. We play that a couple times each time we visit my grandparents, which live 5 minutes away.
  6. well, the burner line has been improved for the o9 season, and the driver (if you can stand the ugly graphics) is actually a very nice club imo... i hit it just about as far as my driver that i have now...
  7. ok...thanks for the input guys... 1) my wedges are my favorite clubs 2) i send mine in to get refinished 3)I already looked into it, and im gettin a 64 vokey and a BB 3 Wood...(used wood, new vokey adds up to about 160... im willin to pay $10 out of my own money
  8. thankz... i have the SM vokeys already, and im seriously thinking bout adding one, but il look in to the BB Fairway wood...
  9. I have 150 smackaroos, and i am wondering what to buy.... should i get a new fairway, or Sumo hybrid, or a 64* vokey?... i am a fairly long hitter, but i am also a very good player from 100 yds and in... maybe some new shoes...
  10. i know im asking for one of those scotty cameron divot tools ($13) and a new 3 hybrid...( under $150) then i will have a complete set and i wont need anything else...(yea right)
  11. i would definitely go to one if it was cold, because i have to play every few days, just to keep my swing right and to stay in shape for highschool golf. If i lay off all winter, i start back out with an 8 handicap and have to work it back down, which is very annoying. there is this guy who i know who lives in my hood and he got one installed, and sometimes we play together on it if its really cold. Its great fun! if it gets cold in the winter where you live, go for it!!
  12. I was just wondering, becuase i might add a hybrid and i want it to match my irons.
  13. thats true. i would probably be down in florida playin golf everyday
  14. yes. i agree with him because i am 14, but a little bigger thatn your son, but even whenn i was twelve or thirteen i was using steel shafts.
  15. what would you play? i would probably only add another wedge, and a hybrid. maybe get a scotty as well.
  16. i would carry 1) 9.5* driver 2) 15* 5 wood 3) 21* hybrid (for rough) 5) 5-9 irons (im a very long hitter) 6) 48, 52, 56, 60, 64 wedges 7) putter (either oddysey or cameron, depending on what felt good) thats 14 isnt it? or else add a 4 iron and take out the 64....hmmmmm....
  17. I was just wondering if i could refinish some of my old vokeys instead of ordering new ones. I would probably save me some money and that would be very good. I just dont feel like buying new clubs right now. Should i send it to titleist?
  18. well the regular burner tp is a lighter club than the tour burner tp and the shaft is different. The regular burner tp is actually what i used to play and i hit it about 270 and im only 14. The tour burner is a lot harder to hit, unless you have a flawless swing.
  19. The square one has a large draw bias and the round one is more of a players hybrid
  20. qwll i might regrip all my clubs.( its about that time) and i've pretty much fallen in love with the winn hybrid pci (or whatever its called). I also might go back to a scotty, maybe a newport squareback. i have decided.
  21. well right now, im 14 as well. I am about 5'8" or so, and the pro at my cc is also. He has contracts with just about every major company, so he has a steady flow of new clubs. He sold me his old mizunos for about 350 or so. He also sold me his old driver for 150. I would definitely buy used, as it is a good way to save money. You should also probably go to steel, so you can bend them as he gets taller. Thats what my family did for me (until i got these new ones for an amazing price). We will probably have my mizunos bent as i get older because they are amazing clubs and i love em. He should fit steel because if he is a tennis player he will have a pretty fast swing. I would go with maybe something in between "max game improvement" and "blades" so he gets forgiveness and workability. I had Armour 845's for like 4 years, and they were perfect for me, until i had just worn them out. (100 rounds a year, plus practice) hope i was of assistance since i was kind of faced with the same situation. -Chris M.
  22. well just like the new burner, the o7 burner was made to be really light as well. I would go with the ft-5 in this case -Chris
  23. you should give the mp-57s a try. They are great clubs. They feel buttery smooth at impact and very good feedback if you hit the ball wrong. They might be goin on sale soon because of the -62's and the -67's. You should definitely give them a try.
  24. yea i agree. you will use your driver on 14 or so holes out of 18, and you will not always use your 3 wood. i would try a burner or maybe a callaway hyper x or nike sumo square. they can help you get the ball further. i would also try a lower loft on the driver... Oh, and beyonce is a hottie!!! i agree with all of yall on that one
  25. ok, well i had a decent excuse for buying new clubs. im 14 y/o, and i grew about 4.5 inches over 4 months. i also owered my handicap 5 strokes this year. I made varsity as an 8th grader adn got rewarded with the clubs in my sig. Dont worry, it didnt cost more than $500, because the pro at my country club got all new clubs free from his contracts, and he sold off all of his old clubs. he is a very short man, so all of his clubs fit me. He got me the mizzys for 350, and the wedges, brand new, for 150. i bought the driver as a callaway "I mix" and i think that it will save me the money of reshafting drivers over the years. i can change the heads when they come out with an update, and keep my shaft. My shaft, by the way is a mitsubishi rayon diamana blue stiff, which i got for $30 (Dont Ask) from one of my friends. I ended up probably gaining money on this one. and the putter is my dad's old one, and he now plays a scotty. oh, and i got the bag free from my neighbor
