  1. I added a 56 degree for my Sand wedge and a 52 degree gap wedge as well . Recently I took out my 5 wood and added a 60 degree wedge which I love for those short shots over traps and water when you need it to fly high and land soft . My 56 has the highest bounce so it is the one I always use for sand shots . I thought I might miss the 5 wood but between my 3 wood and 3 hybrid I have most long fairway shots covered .
  2. I have been wanting a mallet style putter for awhile now after messing around with the wife's Odessey when I am practising at home . I have spent a lot of hours all together at Golftown trying out all different brands and styles . I currently play my twenty year old Ping Anser 2 and after trying others thought the mallet style and litlle more weight was the thing for me . I had it narrowed down to a Ping Scottsdale mallet that I liked and the Scotty Cameron Golo S . I was leaning toward the Ping cause it was alot cheaper than the Scotty . We went to GT on the weekend and the wife says " you might as well get the one you really want so you will be happy with it " . So I left the store with my great wife and a new Scotty . Now I can't wait for the weather to warm up a bit so we can get out and try it .
  3. I use an older Ping Anser 2 that I have had for ever and love . Not usually a fan of the putters with the alignment aids but I tried the DART a couple of weeks ago and it has me rethinking my putter . I spent about 45 minutes with it in the local Golftown and was sinking putts like crazy . The balance and weight of it felt really good . I have tried a buddy's 2 ball before but it felt odd to me this one just seemed to be really comfortable . I am going to see next time I go there how it feels then . Sometimes the second time you try something it is not as good . I could see me buying one of these in the next year .
  4. Anyone have one of these or tried it ? If so do you think it is a worthwile training tool or waste of money ?
  5. Hello JC82 , Nova Scotia is my favorite place in Canada . All my family is in Truro area . I stayed out this way years ago when my Mom and siblings moved back that way and now with good jobs and Grandkids I can't see the wife and I moving out that way but we love to visit . The wife was born in Nova Scotia and I was born in New Brunswick but moved around a lot cause my Dad was in the army . Next time I go back I would like to check out some of the courses there. I also need to check out more around BC as we have some beautiful ones like you said . This seems to be a great site I have mostly been reading and not posting a lot so far .
  6. Got a Nickent 3DX Square Driver earlier in the year for $90 dollars new .And just picked up a Callaway X Fairway 3 wood from Golf Towns demo sale in Langely for $ 140 about 80 dollars off the new price and barely a scratch on it . That demo sale rocked some of the stuff there had never even been hit .
  7. Hello from British Columbia , Canada . Just got back into golfing this year after a few years layoff cause of a bad back . Went on a program of back strengthing exercises and started up again . So far so good I golfed a couple of times a week since spring although our westcoast rainy season has kicked in now so golf outings will be few and far between for awhile . Work gets in the way of a guys fun .
  8. Always happy to get out golfing . Would be even happier if I played a bit better but that will come . I am going to take lessons in the new year so that should help or at least I hope it does
  9. I like Jack the best but have to admit that Tiger is probably going to be the greatest ever no doubt .
  10. http://www.golfcultus.com/ Great little course not quite a full size but lots of fun and good challenges .
  11. I work in the Parks Dept in the city where I live . Great job outside lots although not as much now that I have been promoted to Foreman for the last few years .
