  1. you should go to a driver fitting session ; go there with your current driver, you will hit it and will know your current launch stats (spin, launch angle, ball speed) choose a head that you like, titleist or tm for example and then focus on hitting as many shafts as possible on the same head... good luck
  2. don't bother buy another head, focus your investment on the shaft, find a clubfitter that can make you hit as many shafts as possible... try the UST axivcore, Rombax, Motore, Blur in different flex and weights... at some point you'll find the distance you're looking for that's my advice.
  3. I'm shocked as well, you work for Bridgestone and you play Ping Irons ?
  4. 21* is not a loft for a 5 wood but more of a 7 wood... isn't it ?
  5. why don't you look at a 4W (17°), and then with 1 or 2 hybrids ?
  6. Have you read the review by D. Mackenzie? http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/titleis...5_irons_review don't forget to check the posts below for the feedback from readers/users...
  7. I personnally have the Sonartec MD in 19° and I really like it... I want to get my 3 Iron out of the bag for a 21° hybrid. As the sonartec is now unavailable, I am trying different models. I liked the Titleist 585H but The Sand Trap's review made me change my mind... not for me (no offset, no forgiveness) The clevelands have a nice reputation, I tested the Hibore XLS and it felt like butter ; does someone have any feedback on the G10 Hybrid?
  8. Did you think about getting custom-fitted with top quality component parts (i.e. wishongolf) ?
  9. I am a CFO for a software company with operations in the US and Europe. I live in Paris, France ; a member at Lys Chantilly Golf Course I travel twice a year to the US on business trips (NYC & San Diego)
  10. I'll rank them in the order that makes me stay late at night (in Europe) to watch a PGA Tour Event : #1 -Tiger Woods - a tournament with Tiger in the field is so entertaining #T2 -Sergio Garcia, Freddie Couples, Phil [lefty's solidarity] #T5 -Adam Scott, Camilo villegas, Anthony Kim, for the young gun challenge special mentions to the best swings : Ernie Els (for its fluidity) -Davis Love (for its class) -Stuart Appleby (for its simplicity) boring mention to : Vijay Singh
  11. Just did a fitting down in Carlsbad, CA SS at 95-97 mph but was surprisingly fitted for a Ping G10 10.5 Regular w/stock shaft TFC129 @+
  12. For me the best ball for hcp in the 20s is the Callaway HX HOT PLUS Long and good feeling around the greens @+
  13. For now Jack is still wearing the Yellow Jersey but if the knee holds on, Tiger might get it soon. I agree with some posts that Jack's competition was stronger, but there is a change in generation going on right now and when the Garcia, Kim, Scott will shoot their maiden Grand Slam victory, he will then have competition. On equipment, I don't think it's relevant to say Tiger is favored, he is the almost the only one of the top players who did not gain 10 to 20 yards in driving distance with the arrival of 460cc & High MOI drivers (remember he was still using steel shaft on his driver not so long ago). @+
