I thought i would put this to the test this weekend so i played 36 holes sunday and marked all my tee shots on my gps. I had 6 drives that went 300 or a little more with carry and roll. The telling part was that when we avg. all of the drives of the day my avg was only 271 and i play to a 3-4 and considered one of the long drivers at my course. One of the guys i play with in our choose up and skins game is around a 15 hcp and he bombed the ball pass mine several times but on most occations he was 20 to 30 yards off the fairway. I think next sunday we are going to avg his drives and see what the difference is between his and mine. I will let you know next week.

All i can say is that im a new golfer only playing for the last 40 years but that being said, some things i have found. 1. We all hit the ball farther than Tiger 2. Swing better than Bobby Jones 3. Putt better than Ben Crensaw 4. Score worse than John Daly at Hooters What a wonderfull game golf is

Has anyone played these balls for any length of time. I just started playing them in the last 2 weeks and i like them. pros or cons that you have found.

As much as i want to say Jack i honestly believe that it will be Tiger. If only for the reason that he has such a great imagination. Jack was a tradionalist while Tiger just doesn't know that you shouldnt be able to hit some types of shots so he pulls the trigger and makes them work.

Hey if you want to try them out to see if you like them I have a good used set of Hogan apex blades (bought new used for 3 years) 2 thru lob 11 clubs total. Hey i live in east texas too and play at least once a week and have played at least 18 everyday for the last two weeks. The weather has been fantastic and wore shorts for the last 2 days. Where in east texas you play.

Its almost funny i used to beg the ball to spin back and now on the into the wind shots im yelling please dont spin off the front, go figure lol

I play the callaway Md wedges and they eat the covers off the ball. The spin rate is almost to much. When you are having to play a harder covered ball just to keep from having to shave the ball on the green before you putt you know the grooves are grabbing the ball.

I play to around a 4 and i for one just dont like the feel of the pro v. I played balata ht from maxfli until you couldnt find them anymore and am now trying the callaway ht hotbite. Anybody here try them yet and what do you think about them.

I have had both and now play the studio stype newport 1.5 its last years model but i personally perfer the insert. I just never have been able to get the wieght right when i can change them so i think its a mental thing lol
