  1. I think with you hitting that close you should back up to the next tees but I wouldn't do it yet. I use to play from the whites at a course for a while and was always withing 70 yards after my drive on the par 4's and always used my 54 vokey. The best practice is if the course is not busy one day to just drop a couple balls on each hole where your drive lands and just practice that shot. I feel like you get more practice on the course than on the range and once you get that "feel" for the shots at that distance then take it to the range and work on consistency of that shot. It has been a while since Ive played that course from the white tees cause I have moved back to the blacks but I was to a point where my accuracy and distance control with the wedge was basically spot on, putting shots within 6' 80% of the time. But once you get comfortable with that shot then I suggest you move back to the next set of tees cause that will expand your golfing ability.
  2. Titleist AP2 710, Sun Mountain Superlite 3.5 and Nike Lunar golf shoes. Expensive trip!
  3. I would also like to know if anyone has tried these grips out yet. They look like a nice grip from what I can see online but have not made it to a golf store to feel them yet.
  4. Looks good! What color was the fill at first, its kind of hard to tell from the pics? Just an idea for you is maybe think about painting the logo on the bottom of the putter a different color other than white to make it pop out. Maybe red or orange! Just an opinion but it looks good!
  5. The last time I played I forgot my glove at home and didn't feel like going back to the club house to buy one, I figured if I played bad on the front I would get on at the turn. I was -1 after nine and ended up shooting +2 overall, my best round ever and it was without a glove... I always thought I need a glove but I guess not!!
  6. Did you end up going with the Tamiya paint? If so did you order it online or is it readily available at local craft stores?
  7. The Scotty Cameron i saw was i think the 2007 version, it looked more like a halloween cover than then traditional skull and crossbones, I might have overlooked the others. Maybe you can point me in the direction where you saw all the other Scotty Cameron covers.
  8. I have been searching all over the internet in forums, ebay, google and just cannot seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a skull and crossbones AKA "Jolly Roger" headcover for my rife antigua putter. I have seen the scotty cameron style skull and crossbones headcover but its not what im looking for...i like it but its not what I want. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thanks
  9. How do you use your iphone with it, just going to the website on it or is there an app?
  10. I would just be interested in some good drills/routines rather than the technique standpoint.
  11. Thanks a lot for your response. As for gear, you are correct about it just being personal gear; mask snorkel and fins. I will look at websites but I am def. going to go to a local scuba shop to get my stuff just so I can test to make sure of fit. I didn't know if anyone had any preference of a brand. Thanks again for your post.
  12. haha....VT... What do you know about the ECU pirates???
  13. I'm the same way, I plan on practicing my short game a lot this year. As far as chipping/pitching, I like to do a ladder drill. I place 4 clubs down on the ground about 3 feet apart. Pitch the first ball between the first two clubs then work my way up the ladder and then back. I give myself two misses and after I miss twice, I start over. I use this drill with 3 different clubs; 60* wedge, 54* wedge and PW. After this I also work on some bump and runs with 7 iron just trying to get it within 3', no real drill for bump and runs. As for putting I also place a club 3' behind the hole and try to go either in the hole, or past the hole but not hit the club. After I work on this for a while and get the speed of the green I take two balls and just putt around to the different hole locations, also working on lag putts. One thing I always make sure I do is go thru my putting routine every putt.
  14. Glad to know I'm not the only one who cannot get rid of it no matter what I try. I'm going to head out tomorrow morning and see what I can do with it. I'm going to give that chair thing a try but just with my golf stand bag because I seen something on The Golf Fix where he used the bag for the same type of drill. I will let yall know if it works or if I find something that does.
  15. Just wondering if anyone has any drills or info on keeping your head still. I have a problem dipping my head in my backswing then picking it up on my downswing. I would say it is around a 3 to 4 inch dip. I feel I would emiminate some of thoes bad shots if I learn to keep my head from dipping. Does anyone have any tips or anything?
