  1. looking at your handicap and current irons, you could easily transition to S57's...sorry to suggest an alternate ping product, but if you like i10's, i would assume the S57's would be a nice option to consider as well.
  2. I've been through this too. When I tend to fan, its 1 of 3 things: -my grip is too weak -my left arm, at address, is not close enough to my body -I'm taking the club back too fast and shallow Glad you got it back, just remember it, that's the hardest part of golf for me when trying to solve "issues"
  3. there are plenty of applications out there, some free/some not, that would help you track all of that. for us iphone users, i use the mobile tracking on my phone and it posts to a website for me to track my FIRs, GIRs, handicap, putting, sand saves, etc. if not, previous posters have posted good ideas to mark your scorecard so you can input that info later. i would also track putts as well.
  4. fit 39, its like a second skin and seems to be holding up for me after many range days and rounds.
  5. you know we are all awaiting pics right?
  6. If you are a samurai and demand your wedges be made by one, these are fantastic. p.s. and they can cut through those pesky trees if need be.
  7. played The Links at Summerly on Tuesday (my bday ), 550 yard par 5 into a slight wind. smashed 307 drive and it was about 3 feet away from the "burn" (which is a canal of rocks and considered OB), had to hit a 250 yard cut 5 wood with 2 small bunkers on the left front of green, one which was right in my path. landed it on green, 3 foot eagle putt, sank it. happy birthday to me! great links-esque course in Cali by the way for a great price.
  8. i've used them. can't tell the difference. good bang for the buck.
  9. how do your divots look?
  10. i have the same problem during the course of my round as well. i get too excited, start getting a little quicker, my adrenaline is pumping, etc. As said earlier, i just try to keep my tempo and keep that clubface from snapping shut at the end of my swing or take it back slightly "open." i say "open" because, it may not be open at all and i've just been taking it back too closed. these minor halftime adjustments should help your self-awareness and keep you connected to your swing. cause if i can't "feel" my swing on any given day, i know i'll be lucky to get through the day. cheers
  11. LoL Never heard this one. Thanks for the afternoon laff.
  12. that's pretty much the play i have as well KwSipp. as long as i keep my left wrist locked and it doesn't release early or break down, this is my favorite shot.
  13. word jamba. I've had this same problem before and still have it time to time. although i don't know the exact details Range, i made sure i wasn't standing too close to the ball, which would cause me to get stuck if coming from the inside, resulting in a push or shank. also, i was lunging forward in the start of my downswing, which gave my arms no choice but to swing outside in, which is like what Jamba indicated, not keeping my head behind the ball at impact. I just kept my focus on keeping my head steady and pictured where i wanted my head and chest to be at impact. i try not to think about my hands so i won't get back into the habit of trying to flip em before impact. i just want my head behind the ball and my body square at impact.
  14. about 4 years ago, i could put out 300+ yard drives fairly commonly. now, my average was not 300 and of course the ball didn't always find its way to the fairway, maybe a fairway to the right or left of the other holes. my index back then was around 12-13. average drive was around 280. its possible, but should not be as common as we see around the net these days. now, average drive is 260ish, but index has gotten much better, down to 5.7 i found out the hard way that although i can smash a golf ball, giving myself the chance for a GIR was a better scoring opportunity.
  15. if you don't mind a 35-40 minute drive from yorba linda, you can go to The Links at Summerly. $50 with cart on weekday. its in lake elsinore.
