  2. Interesting read. My problem is the humidity. I have to switch between three gloves a round at a minimum due to sweat and humidity. I’ve tried all different kinds of grips, cord, velvet etc. In SC the humidity is a killer and the tackiness of the glove allows me to fully stabilize my grip. I’m a firm believer that being a right handed golfer it is a left handed game. I have about a 5/10 grip with my left hand (somewhat strong grip), and I’m able to maintain this grip with minimal slip during my swing while utilizing a “tacky” glove. To each is their own though.
  3. My father has the same issue that your describing here. Have you tried doing some basic foot extensions and flexions with a resistance band? That'll srengthen up the fascia and underlying muscles in your foot region. Also, do you tend to flex your toes and foot muscles during the swim? Try relaxing them a bit and see if that will work
  4. In general I don't think it has anything to do with the irons for more achieved distance. Everything corresponds to your mechanics and swing. Simply put if your leading with your hands you'll never get the full distance out of any iron. Ping doesn't put crazy lofts in their irons for marketing purposes like Callaway will (big Bertha irons).
  5. I try to swim at least 5,000 meters a week. It helps with my shoulder function and back performance. When I started to get very serious about golf I cut my swimming in half to dedicate more time to the game.
  6. If anything, your preventing injury by strengthening your shoulder muscles (deltoids, trapezius......) and the joint. Keep swimming it'll help in the long run.
  7. Do you ever get fatigued in your shoulders?
  8. Went to the range and really worked on dialing my yardage in with my wedges. I think it's safe to say that the 60 is the highest wedge I'll play with.
  9. Hey everyone. I was just curious if there were people out there who swim to supplement their golf game?
  10. Hit the range hard this morning before the rain came. Played yesterday and shot a 41 on the front 9. Couldn't play the last due to the weather.
  11. Went on the elliptical for 30 min, below LT HR zone. Felt good. Did some "whole" body lifts to incorporate stability and balance. Still somewhat tired from yesterdays upper body workout, and range session. Cant beat the day off work and being able to go to the gym at 9am instead of 5am :)
  12. Yeh nothing like "RICE" rest, ice, compression, and elevation. I can only imagine how frustrated you are. Does it hurt to putt, because if not you could put some serious work into your short game :)
  13. As a PT I'm curious as to what they had you do for PT? I'm a firm believer that the right program and discipline can get anybody back on the course in a timely manner. Prior to college and in my college years I accumulated 5 knee operations. It took me a long time to realize time is your best friend along with a good PT. Hang in there it'll get better!
  14. I wonder if he was the driving force behind these irons. He was very confident in the i25s he'd play with
  15. Thanks. That makes a lot of sense. This is the area where I struggle the moisten my game. First when i started, it was compressing the ball. But after I got that down, its turned into a more technical struggle or rather "feel" of my wedges. The finesse isn't there yet for me to feel comfortable while I at varying distances from 100 yards and in
