  1. A couple more things! Search for toddler / child golf on youtube - you'll fin a lot of videos. I read an article recently on Junior golfing (After my previous post.) they have junior golf tournaments . . . and the way they do them is really neat. Par 3 course . . . everyone gets a certain amount of shots - say 32. After 32 shots - you're done - and a flag goes in the ground where your last shot ends. the one who gets furthest around the course is the winner. I could see this being pretty neat for a fun game with the kid . . . see if they can beat their last "round." It's easier for them to relate to rather than the number score I guess, and keeps it even more fun for them. Can also work it into practice for yourself. you let ytour child go first - and your goal is to land your ball as close to his / hers as possible. Good short game practice.
  2. I've heard of friends taking out their sons at this age or around the 4 year mark. They take a t shot . . . then they drive to the ball to pick it up - help you drive the cart . . . then put their ball back down on the green to putt when you get there. 1) keeps it fun for them 2) keeps things moving fast just incase there are golfers behind you. A par 3 course would probably be great for this . . . as your son wouldn't see you taking a couple to few shots to get to the green. You both have 1 shot - then you're putting! Keep us updated on your father son time and how it goes! Jon
  3. Good Luck on everything! With losing the weight - I lost around 25lbs in a couple months. (from 207 down to 180) All by counting calories. search calorie count about.com - sign up for an account, and get started. It's great for us guys - it gives us a baseline for what we burn per day just sitting on our asses . . . eat below to lose, eat above to gain - eat around that number to maintain. Very logical. My Goals for 2008 are : Re-commit myself to improving my swing and game. I've been getting worse for the past 3 years. Take lessons from a reputable teacher here in town Play more golf on the company dollar, and take more clients out.
  4. great - looking forward to trying it out next summer. What was your web address again? I was going to post a scorecard method on there. Jonathan
  5. I'm pulling for John to get back in the game as well. I think the guy is great - no bullshit, tell it likeit is type of guy. It's not beer that's his downfall or big problem - it's the Jack Daniels - that's when things get bad. Hopefully his current wife gets out of prison soon, they have sex, and he plays well again.
  6. Phils boobs are bigger than tigers.
  7. I'm both as well - I'm inclined to click Tiger - he's an amazing athlete - why did I click Phil?? I don't know - Fat, Lefty, Family Man . . . who knows. I clicked Phil, and I think maybe I shouldve clicked Tiger. But then if I did that, I'd think I should click Phil. . . . I'm both. I'm a Tiger Vs. Phil Guy.
  8. Scroll Down this page - if you took that pic into photoshop - should be able to figure out dimensions. Not for height though. http://papaken2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/report2.htm http://papaken2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cube4.jpg http://papaken2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cube3.jpg http://papaken2.hp.infoseek.co.jp/cube5.jpg
  9. PowerBilt used to make a 10 iron as well in their "citation" line.
  10. Okay - streaming live again - following Immelman, Allanby and Glover. Just watched as Immelman missed an eagly by a couple inches.
  11. Hey Guys! Was watching the championship on pga.com - then when tiger /phil/ogilvy reached the turn - they turned it off and said continue watching on TNT - damnit. Anywhere else you guys go to steam the pga events online? Anywere else streaming the pga championship? Jon
  12. pretty shorts I can't contribute anything useful.
  13. Ok - I have to second "A good walk spoiled," and very much so "Who's your Caddy?" both great reads. Another one you should try and find is called "Tin Cup Dreams" very great book about a man who grinds to make it on the PGA tour - awesome book about a great guy. I just finished John Daly's new book - My Life in and out of the Rough - Always loved John Daly - lot's of things in his past.
  14. But can getting fitted make you close your club properly through your downswing. Not trying to start a fight or argument or anything, just trying to understand a little bit better. Just in my head I'm thinking that if I get fitted with a pretty screwed up swing vs. a decent one that needs a little work - My fitting won't go right and I'll be all messed up once I do get my swing in decent shape. I'm not stubborn on this, just wanting to be educated on this. Thx for the answer prutkows. Anyone else? or anything to add?
  15. Hey all - been reading a lot of posts pertaining to the importance of getting fitted. But I always seem to see people saing how important it is to try out different clubs etc. BUT - what if your swing is sucky. I'm a lefty - and pushing just about everything left - How can I try out new clubs, or get fitted, unless I'm hitting the ball decent? Jon
