    Yoga

I am a PGA Professional who has been doing different forms of Yoga for about 5 years. I am 53 years old and find it invaluable in keeping my golf flexibilty. I have noticed that if I skip a few days, not only does my golf game suffer but my general physical well being suffers. Roger Fredericks, Katherine Roberts and the YogaX in P90X by Tony Horton are threee that I recommend highly.
  2. I am playing with a pitching wedge, 50*, 54*(that I very seldom use), and 58*. I do most of my chipping and pitching with the 58*. Even though I don't use the 54* much, it does come in handy for the 95 yard shot. I would recommend most players carrying as many wedges as possible. Golf from 120 yards and closer accounts for alot of shots! To accomodate 4 wedges, I carry a 3 wood, 19* hybrid and 4 iron with no discernible gaps.
  3. I don't think that you can go wrong with Golf Pride Tour Wraps. They have been around forever for a reason. The are comfortable, durable and inexpensive. You should not pay more than $5 per grip, installed for Tour Wraps.
  4. I love the SkyCaddie. I don't have to have a steady hand to use the sky. I don't have to worry about shooting the tree behind the green and hitting a 7 iron from 124 yds. I don't have to clear my blurry eye from using the rangefinder. I just go to my ball and look at the screen. It gives me yardage front, middle and back and any key points otherwise. The big difference between the 2.5 and 5.0 is size, price and color screen. If you far sighted, investigate the 5. It has the easier to read screen. Whatever you do, buy sky.
  5. The biggest key to playing at a reasonable speed is to be ready to hit when it is your turn. I see too many golfers attempt to emulate the tour players and not begin their process until it is their turn. At our club, we have many fivesomes who play in 3 1/2 hours or less.
  6. Oh yeah. A grip too weak will help cause you to hit it right and vice versa. I recommend a grip where the V's formed by the thumb and forefinger of each hand point almost to the right shoulder(for a rh golfer). Also, grip softly in the fingers.
  7. How can you not love Seinfeld! It was so Seinfeld. I was always disappointed that Kramer got hurt and couldn't continue his golf career.
  8. I have seen a lot of them both. There are similarities in that each was the odds on favorite everytime they tee'd it up in a major. They both hit it so far in his day, and they both made every single putt that they had to make. I'm going to say that Nicklaus had more great players to beat, Palmer, Trevino, Watson, Player, Casper, etc. Tiger has a deeper field each week. Nicklaus won majors from 1963 til 1986. Set scoring records on a regular basis. Tiger has done some things that just amaze me! '97 Masters, 2000 US Open, Grand Slam (4 in a row is a grand slam!). Then playing 91 holes with a shredded knee and stress fracture and winning the US Open last year!! If he is able to come back from his injury and stay healthy, there is no reason to think that he won't win 25-30 majors and 100 tournaments. Tiger might be the most incredible sports figure of all time!
  9. I would suggest Paiute also. It does have 3 great courses! Drawback is the long drive. My favorite is Rio Secco. It can be a little pricey, but a great and well conditioned golf course.
  10. I am a Class A PGA Golf Professional.
