  1. i just thought id set you straight on callaways relationship with ben hogan clubs, ben hogan was an independant company until just recently when callaway purchased top flite and subsequently the ben hogan line who top flite had purchased years before, since the purchase ben hogans factories have stopped production on everything except apparel and accessoriesn anywho the pointt is that ben hogan clubs are independant in design and callaway had no bearing on the desings.
  2. hi guys, just got back into golf and my clubs were all too small now need some new woods, just wondering if anyone could reccomend some for $300 or under a piece
  3. i love my drivers sound its so ugly, when you hit the sweetspot it has a huge bang it realy turns heads
  4. yeah they are cavity and they would probly be mid sized heads, what can i say they are a real cllassy no nonsense look which is what you can expect from any ben hogan club, you get a great response when you hit the ball well but the club still tells you when you have hit it funny, previously i was using my dads old powerbuilt grandslams he got in the late nineties, they were a much bigger head in fact i think they were oversize, but managed to get my swing quicker with consistency and i as at the stage where i needed new clubs theyve realy improved my game if you want some more oppinions this is the site i used to figure out if i wanted them http://www.golfreview.com/cat/irons/...5_2940crx.aspx if you have any other questions just ask il try and answer them oh and as far as the tm hybrids go i can't realy comment ive never used those
  5. i dont know what its like in the us but down hear in australia you can get a set of bh5 (ben hogan game improvers) for $270, they were like $1000 a set until unfortunately the company appeared to die, damned callaway, anyway i dropped my handicap around 9 shots after i got them they have a great feel
  6. the big ben cs3, i used to hit big power fades that i just couldnt fix and i was reccomended this driver and the bh5 irons since hten i dropped my handicap by 9 ive never hit so many fairways, maybe its just me but it seems to be realy forgiving, might be worth a try
  7. you would be mad to get a driving iron when hybrids are so easy to hit
  8. Have a look at the PING Karsten series, theyre all works of art
  9. It's as greg norman said in his better golf videos, 'the grip is your only connection to the club', so if you dont hold it right and your holding something that you cant grip (too slippery too big etc) your not going to have a smooth silky swing, so basicaly it's very important.
  10. Ben Hogan Sureout, the name says it all, if your in a tough spot they are ace
  11. id go with different set of mizuno's for feel and forgiveness, like the mx 200's, they're great plus u can probly pick em up at a steal if you look around
  12. Im feeling your pain, except im mourning Ben Hogan.
  13. I had a look through the forums and couldn't find a thread similiar to this (possibly im blind ) but i thought it would be interesting if everyone shared the worst club they had ever hit. For me it was an old ram wood i found in a relatives shed, it appeared to be in good condition but boy when you hit it it made a real hollow sound and went absoloutely nowhere, i would compare it to hitting a ball with a rolling pin.
  14. Try a Ben Hogan Sure out there throwing em away and they play great from anywhere
