  1. Well i was never a fan of Nike as a golf company, Callaway irons always seem too bulky. I prefer a nice thin top line. I've hit the TMade TP's and they are a solid club and i'm a bit biased towards the CG7 tours. So not trying to sound too bad here...I know you wont be disappointed with the Clevelands, also the deal we have going on is buy a set of irons and when we come out with our next set you get those for free. Just trade in the old. So its basically 2 sets of irons for 1. Really a great deal that is really hard to pass up.
  2. The Monster is an excellent choice. Very Forgiving, High MOI, and depending on the model, very workable as well. Solid Choice...and yes the club is a 2009 model.
  3. both are great sets. One of the major differences besides the look is that the CG7 is a cast iron and the I-701 is a forged iron.
  4. the ones you play most often.
  5. the tiger shark.
  6. $70/hour here.
  7. see the one time i think it is okay to do this....I play golf a lot with a kid, and we both get lessons from the same Pro. Well when we play together, were well enough off to figure out what were both doing if something goes wrong. Then its okay to say something about the swing.
  8. im thinking he means ball speed with the 142-149...not clubhead speed.
  9. Mizuno (Bettinardi) BC-5 I dont have it, but am going to get it. haha
  10. Well when you get to the demo day there will 1 maybe 2 sales or tech guys there that will properly fit you for lie angle and length of club and so on...depending on whos gonna be there just steel or both graphite and steel will be available to hit. I never had graphite in the Launcher. But the Cleveland rep will be able to help you out. Before you take advice from the guys on this board, no offense, let the Cleveland rep help you out after seeing your swing and such. I hope you enjoy the assistance. If you have any questions not specific to that demo day, i can help out. just shoot me a PM. EDIT: after looking at the schedule. Your going to have the tech van at your place. So trust me, on the fitting, your going to get the full experience. Be sure to book a time with the place in Plainfield. So you get some time with the tech rep. Also he should have available both steel and graphite to hit. the result of the ball flight and feel of them and will be decided by the rep on what to get. If you do decide on the irons, they will be built there and can pick them up at the shop either later that day or the next. Hope you enjoy the demo day.
  11. question. why is your 2 iron...which is the same model Mizuno as the rest of your irons separate from your irons (3-PW) why isnt it 2-PW?? that is just weird.
  12. to the OP...one way to see whats going on. Take in your driver and hit that, then hit the Cobra. see what the numbers are.
  13. like everyone here has said. PX6.0 or TT X100. I actually play both in different clubs if you check my sig. I feel the Rifles are more stable. I prefer the feel of the rifle shafts.
  14. so what club are you looking at getting anyway?
  15. Honestly, if you go through the work on the launch monitor, i would try and buy there and have them do it, instead of the alternate, ebay. First because there are counterfeits on ebay. It will be professionally done and you wont have any worry about the work getting done properly.
  16. Yea, thats what a launch monitor is for. To see all of those numbers and trying to get the optimal numbers. Getting the optimal numbers will get a more desired ball flight which will in turn give you more distance. While on one, thats the time to mess with combinations of driver heads and shaft combinations. Along with distance though you want to come to a happy medium of distance and dispersion. Is this going to be an indoor or outdoor launch monitor? Outdoor ones, like Trackman, will be give you a dispersion chart of all the balls you hit with the different clubs.
  17. i know what you mean, but him being an 8.3 i'm pretty sure he has an idea of what flex shaft to be in. Just a matter of finding the right model shaft. From my experience doing demos, people want to know their swing speed and when they do find out, thinking its too low, want to swing harder. Which is why i dont tell them the swing speeds till after everything is done.
  18. actually...swing speed is best not to be looked at usually. people get too aggressive and want to swing harder. the best numbers to look at are ball speed, smash factor, spin rate, landing angle, attack angle.
  19. your a 22.1 hdcp....exactly.
  20. well i work at 9....and i think i'll get up at 6....just to watch the first 2 hours televised.
  21. considering I also have a marketing degree and am in the field you want to get into, i should pop in and answer questions. First thing is get contacts. If you are friends with the club pro somewhere he is probably friends with his sales reps. Good idea to let him know you are looking to get into this. Also good to see if the sales reps are needing any work. I got all my contacts from my local pro. So i got it easy. But the main thing is getting your foot in the door. PM me if you got any questions. As i dont have much time right now.
  22. well...i'll be there tomorrow all day. Hopefully it will be a nice day.
  23. nobody makes them anymore. But when you order a driver, you can get a steel shaft put in. So it would have to be custom made. I wouldnt recommend it in your Driver, its probably best to get graphite. But I dont have much to say, i have steel X100's in my hybrids.
  24. looks like you topped the ball on the heel of the club and not hit a divider. Beings as i demo clubs and see this oh so very often.
  25. just went again today....left right before they evacuated the course because of a storm nearby. Some nice scenery.
